We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

How do you get music off of youtube??? I need to get Illuminations!!!

Ummm...I ripped it. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 My sister showed me this website you can use to convert the video to an mp3 or whatever so I just did that. It was pretty cool. Sadly they just shut down the site though.

How could Brandon think the opening show is silly?! :sad2: I love that show! Glad you got to see it. Main Street sure looked busy right away. But you gotta love those Christmas decorations. Aww I want to go. LOL.

Looks like your MK day was off to a good start. :goodvibes I'm so happy you finally got to see the opening show!

Glad you got there in time and got a good spot for the MK rope drop :goodvibes I have only been able to get my butt up and ready for the rope drop at EPCOT and that was not planned :rotfl:

That mickey waffle looks good!! I was having a hard time finding breakfast at MK too, I didnt plan well for that

I would pick Le Cellier over Illuminations any day! The filet is so yummy. Next time I will have to sub the potatoes for the risotto, sounds even better.

Yay for making rope drop at MK. You and Brandon took some good pictures. Oh, and I didn't know that Sleepy Hollow had Mickey waffles. Will have to remember that!

You two are so cute :)

Haha...:rotfl:

:yay: You made rope drop! I'm glad you got Brandon there, even if he wasn't overly enthused about it. I love that music too...it's my favorite thing to listen to from those CDs!

Cute Photopass pics...I like the Tink shot!

I said something to Brandon last night about rope drop, how he didn't like it and he said "no, I did, it was cute". :confused3

Thanks, I like the Tink pic too, I just wish Brandon didn't looks so weird in it...and that I could be a little smaller!

Making rope drop at Magic Kingdom is one of my goals for my future trips. I do not recall ever seeing it.

Rope drop at MK is soooo much fun! I feel like I need to do it every time now! :yay:

great picture!! I can't remember the last time it was that I went to rope drop. It always seems like we're at MK at night for EMH and never in the morning. I know when we used to go on week long vacations before I worked at WDW, we would do AM EMH there but that's about it! We tend to do morning parks at the other 3 instead. Great pics of it though!!

Thanks! I try to do morning and night hours at each park, but I've never made it to rope drop at any park! Now I want to try to see them all, even though I know MK is the best one! I love MK at night for EMH too, there's just something about being at MK until 2 in the morning! :rotfl:

Yay for rope drop! The only rope drop I have ever seen was AK so I need to see MK's this trip!

By the way, you are beautiful and your pictures are great!

Yummy...Mickey waffles are so simple, yet so delicious!

Yay, I hope you get to see MK rope drop, it's adorable! :lovestruc How is AK's?

Thanks, the pics are ok...they could be better, you know how I am about pictures! :rotfl:

Mickey waffles are so cute, almost too cute to eat!

I just finished page 3 and I can't tell you how much fun it is to read a TR after all those days of not Dis'ing.

Wow - I'm surprised how super crowded it is. That's tough! I hope the crowds loosen up. What's up with the world's smallest beers. Silly! But that slushie looks so good.

What - no pictures of snooki? :rotfl: Where her fans surrounding her too tightly. :rotfl:

Your room looks lovely and I love Oak Manor. Can't wait to see your view.

Will catch up soon.

Yay, you're here!

It was very crowded during the Food and Wine weekend...just wait til you see my pics from Saturday night! It was ok though, we managed! We knew going in that it would be crowded that weekend so we were prepared...well, I was anyway!

I don't know what was up with those beers, they were cute though, I like small things for some reason!

No, no Snooki pics...no one was taking pictures of her, she had a few people with her, but she looked like a real b*#$%...like if she caught you taking a picture of her, she'd come over and try to break your camera! I don't know if you have ever seen Jersey Shore, but she doesn't seem super b*tchy on that show, she just seems kinda clueless, so I was kind of surprised that she looked so unapproachable! :confused3

I'm on board. I'm enjoying the TR so far - and looking forward to many more posts.

First - I so appreciate the fact you place links for your updates. It makes it much easier for those of us who don't always have time to read each and every response to a post.
Second - your pictures and description of rope drop at MK is fantastic! We've never done this before, but it is a must on our itinerary in January.

There's something about the pictures you took of Spaceship Earth in Epcot that just gave me tingles and the same giddiness when I'm actually in the park. You have me so geeked now I can hardly contain my excitement. LOL

We decided to return the beginning of next month to hope for a low attendance - only to find out it backfired in a way. Splash Mtn (my favorite) and Kali Rapids will be down for the month!

Thanks for several greats posts - read you soon!:surfweb:

Hi, :welcome: thanks for joining!

Glad you like the links, I'm SO glad I learned how to do that!

YES, do rope drop at MK!!! You won't regret getting up a little early to get there, it's so cute and really sets the tone for the day, I'm going to try to make it a tradition to do MK rope drop on our first (full) day on every trip from now on!

LOL I'm glad you like my SE pics, they came out pretty good! Sometimes I get lucky with pictures and sometimes as hard as I try, they come out terrible! :rotfl:

Oh, that's too bad Splash will be closed when you are there, it's one of my fav's too! But I think the low crowds will make up for it! :thumbsup2

I love the picture with you holding Tink. I was on the lookout for photopass people last trip and they were never around unless it was so busy I didn't notice them.

I don't remember having a funnel cake :confused3 I am not even sure that I have ever , in my entire life, had one? Is it kind of like fried dough?

Main Street looks so pretty with all the x-mas decorations esp. the wreaths. I tried to convince John that we should just get AP and fly down for a quick weekend in Oct. and Dec so I could just knock out seeing the Halloween and x-mas decorations and be done with it, but he didn't seem to like that idea for some reason.

Rope drop looks cute. I want to see it next time too. I'm sure John and Caitlin will wonder why we are standing around even though I explain it 100 times.

This is the first time I saw anyone doing any of those special shots with the photopass photographers, so I had to wait this time! I've wanted to do that Tink picture forever, but I never got a chance. If you do rope drop when you go, look for one then!

I never had a funnel cake til Disney World, I think in May. It is like fried dough, but it's not one big piece...I think they put the dough through a funnel to make small little noodle shapes or something. It's so good! They have it at Sleepy Hollow (obviously) and in Epcot near the American Adventure.

You should just get an AP and do that to see the decorations. Halloween isn't that important, I think MK is the only park that decorates, but you have to see the Christmas stuff, the castle is so pretty! Once you see it lit up, you will think it looks kind of strange without the lights!

You have to do rope drop...Caitlin will love it! Pluto and Jasmine were in it when I saw it!

Ummm...I ripped it. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 My sister showed me this website you can use to convert the video to an mp3 or whatever so I just did that. It was pretty cool. Sadly they just shut down the site though.

Oh, I wish I knew how to get music from youtube! Too bad they shut down the site...if you ever find something similar, let me know! :cool2:

Brandon thinks people singing and dancing about Disney World is silly...he changed his mind once the characters came out! MK really wasn't too busy, I think it was just the rush of people going in from rope drop that made Main Street look so crowded!

I want to go back too. Like, now! :rotfl2:

Looks like your MK day was off to a good start. :goodvibes I'm so happy you finally got to see the opening show!

It was a great way to start our day, the opening show is so cute!

LOL this was the first time in 4 trips with Brandon that I've actually made it to rope drop...I wanted to try when we were there in May but it didn't work out! How is rope drop at Epcot? Do they do anything special?

Yeah there are not too many options at MK for breakfast unless you go to Crystal Palace! I know a lot of people go to the bakery but we walked by there and it was mobbed...no one was at Sleepy Hollow, so that was nice! And the view of the castle while you eat is beautiful!

I would pick Le Cellier over Illuminations any day! The filet is so yummy. Next time I will have to sub the potatoes for the risotto, sounds even better.

Mmmm...I wish I was in Epcot right now about to be going to an ADR at Le Cellier! I would love a filet and some mashed potatoes! I wonder if it's going to be different now that it's a signature restaurant?

I didn't know that Sleepy Hollow had them either, luckily I had that app on my phone...if I didn't we would have just been wandering around looking at menus!

I'm going to try to do an update tonight, but I've been neglecting my poor Christmas tree so I want to get that done...so if I don't do an update tonight, I definitely will this weekend!

I love your rope drop pics! I'm so glad you finally got to see it! :goodvibes

I love that you had a funnel cake for breakfast! I kept trying to find a time to fit one in on our trip because I wanted one so bad, but I was never hungry enough. Next time I'm getting one in the morning!

In response to your question, AK's rope drop is really cute! Mickey and the whole gang come out in jeeps and they have all their safair gear on. I can't remember much about it, but I do remember that Minnie mouse has a checklist that she looks at with "sunscreen" on it. I'm not sure why that's all I can remember about it.

Thanks, I'm glad I got to see it too, although now it's one of those things I'm going to always want to do on every trip!

LOL I wasn't going to get anything for breakfast that day, but since I just happened to be where they had funnel cakes, I figured, why not! :rotfl: I can never find a good time to get one either, so the morning turned out to be a good time! :cool1:

That sounds adorable! :lovestruc

BTW did your mom ever DVR that show about the holidays at Disney?

All caught up. You DID get some wonderful night shots. So crisp and clear with nice coloring and that daytime shot of the side of the castle is spectacular. S o glad you both enjoyed LeCellier. And I am glad you got Brandon up in time to see rope drop so now he "gets it".

Looking forward to more. Your shirt is adorable!

Thanks! That means a lot, coming from you and all of your wonderful pictures! :goodvibes I'm glad Brandon liked rope drop too, now it will be a little easier waking him up next time to see it! :cool1:

I actually got really excited about your dark World Showcase pictures. I've only ever been to WDW with my family, and my dad is always itching to leave. I actually don't think I've ever really seen WS when it's that dark! It looks like there's an entirely different feel to it. I'm also looking forward to that pre-Illuminations music you mentioned!

BTW, I <3 that you guys are LOTR dorks! Recently, Howard and I keep saying, "Fly, you fools!"

Silly question, but the chocolate moose is just 2 scoops of mousse with crumbs on it? Haha, I know I've always wanted it, but I never knew for certain!

I'm dying to see rope drop at MK too! Hopefully, it won't be too difficult getting 5 other people out the door come February ...

OMG I can't believe you haven't been to WS at night! It is so pretty, it does have a different feel to it at night than in the day! The music they play before Illuminations is soooo great...and I can't find it anywhere! If I could listen to that on my way to work in the morning, or sometime in the middle of my day, I'd probably be a much happier person at work! :rotfl:

That is one of the best parts of LOTR!! It's fun to insert random LOTR quotes into everyday life!

Yep that's pretty much the chocolate mousse at Le Cellier! It's really simple, but it's SO good...although, I don't think I've ever had real chocolate mousse anywhere else, so I don't have much to compare it to...maybe it all tastes like that!

I hope you get to rope drop, it's so cute! :lovestruc

"...Wrapped up in Pixie Dust"

Day 2 11/13, part 2!

Once we finished breakfast, we were trying to figure out what to do first. You think this would be simple, but for some reason it was like we couldn't think and just got stuck...we walked over to the tree in Liberty Square

IMG_1440.jpg

and just stood there! Brandon suggested going in the Hall of Presidents

IMG_1444.jpg

(I think he did a little dance there because HoP is one of his favorites :rotfl:)

but I didn't feel like starting off MK with that! I love it, but I was already feeling tired from getting up so early that I was afraid I might fall asleep!

Finally we decided on

IMG_1446.jpg

Splash Mountain! One of my favorites! It said there was a 5 minute wait, but there was no one in line...I think the 5 minutes is just the time it takes to walk through the queue area!

IMG_1447.jpg

IMG_1448.jpg

Once we walked through and could get on, the CM told us we had a whole log to ourselves...and I asked if we had to sit in the front, where he answered me very sarcastically "yes, you must sit in the front"! :rotfl: I spent so much time straightening my hair that morning that I didn't want it to get wet and I kind of started whining about that. :confused3

So we sat in the 3rd row, which I thought was a good place to sit and not get wet and began our journey!

IMG_1453.jpg

The third row didn't help, we ended up getting pretty wet (and my hair was ruined!)

IMG_1455.jpg

but it was worth it, soooo much fun! And it was getting to be pretty hot so I knew my clothes would dry pretty quickly!

IMG_1458.jpg

Once we were finished on Splash, we decided to walk through Fantasyland to see how the wait times were for those attractions...of course, Peter Pan was already a crazy wait time so we got FP's

IMG_1459.jpg

and walked over to the castle area to look for characters. The stepsisters and the fairy godmother were out, but I didn't want to meet them...I was looking for the penguins from Mary Poppins, but they were nowhere to be found!

Since we didn't want to meet those characters, we decided to do Mickey's Philharmagic!

IMG_1460.jpg

We both love this show so much! It's one of those things that you want to do again immediately after it's over.

We still had time before we had to go back to Peter Pan for our FP's

IMG_1461.jpg

(just a random Fantasyland picture!)

so we went towards Tomorrowland because Brandon wanted to go on Space Mountain.

On the way, I saw the White Rabbit so I had to stop and get a picture with him

IMG_1463.jpg

I love Alice in Wonderland and I never stop to meet the characters when they are out, so I'm happy I did this time! I wish they had the Cheshire Cat was a character you could meet, he's my favorite!

Up next...Tomorrowland, Adventureland and LTT!

great update!!!!

I'll never forget the one time I went on SM. I went one of the nights after I was done working at BBB with a friend and he wanted to go and I said, nope I don't really want to get wet. The "sprayer" was not on at the time so I said okay..in the meantime the "sprayer" turned on and hit us directly. We both left soaking wet. I'm sure the ppl in the tunnel leaving work were like what the..??? It was fun but not how I wanted to drive home that night haha. I do love SM though, it's one of my favs!

 I think it's so funny that your DH wanted to start the day at HoP! I'm so glad you steered him toward Splash - it sounds like you had a really fun ride! Sorry your hair got ruined, though!

Aww the white rabbit is such a cutie!! you know I always read other TRs and I dont know how they can look nice with their hair all done up...because I would straighten mine all morning and as soon as we went on one ride it was ruined :rotfl:

The dance outside HoP was funny!! DBF loves that one too!

Looks like a nice, relaxed morning at the MK! Sorry you got so wet on Splash. Normally, the third row is a pretty good bet...but not always, I guess. Glad it was warm enough to dry out. We never made it to Splash this last trip, since we were never in the MK when it was warm enough to stand a chance at drying out quickly. Love the ride, though!

I don't know what they did to Splash mtn, but everyone gets soaked now. It's crazy. In September there were people walking off that were drenched. For the longest time I never got wet, but now that ride is soak city.

:lmao: You totally sound like me! I always spend this time doing my hair in Disney, we realistically it is never worth it!
