I'm on board. I'm enjoying the TR so far - and looking forward to many more posts.
First - I so appreciate the fact you place links for your updates. It makes it much easier for those of us who don't always have time to read each and every response to a post.
Second - your pictures and description of rope drop at MK is fantastic! We've never done this before, but it is a must on our itinerary in January.
There's something about the pictures you took of Spaceship Earth in Epcot that just gave me tingles and the same giddiness when I'm actually in the park. You have me so geeked now I can hardly contain my excitement. LOL
We decided to return the beginning of next month to hope for a low attendance - only to find out it backfired in a way. Splash Mtn (my favorite) and Kali Rapids will be down for the month!
Thanks for several greats posts - read you soon!
Hi,

thanks for joining!
Glad you like the links, I'm SO glad I learned how to do that!
YES, do rope drop at MK!!! You won't regret getting up a little early to get there, it's so cute and really sets the tone for the day, I'm going to try to make it a tradition to do MK rope drop on our first (full) day on every trip from now on!
LOL I'm glad you like my SE pics, they came out pretty good! Sometimes I get lucky with pictures and sometimes as hard as I try, they come out terrible!
Oh, that's too bad Splash will be closed when you are there, it's one of my fav's too! But I think the low crowds will make up for it!
I love the picture with you holding Tink. I was on the lookout for photopass people last trip and they were never around unless it was so busy I didn't notice them.
I don't remember having a funnel cake

I am not even sure that I have ever , in my entire life, had one? Is it kind of like fried dough?
Main Street looks so pretty with all the x-mas decorations esp. the wreaths. I tried to convince John that we should just get AP and fly down for a quick weekend in Oct. and Dec so I could just knock out seeing the Halloween and x-mas decorations and be done with it, but he didn't seem to like that idea for some reason.
Rope drop looks cute. I want to see it next time too. I'm sure John and Caitlin will wonder why we are standing around even though I explain it 100 times.
This is the first time I saw anyone doing any of those special shots with the photopass photographers, so I had to wait this time! I've wanted to do that Tink picture forever, but I never got a chance. If you do rope drop when you go, look for one then!
I never had a funnel cake til Disney World, I think in May. It is like fried dough, but it's not one big piece...I think they put the dough through a funnel to make small little noodle shapes or something. It's so good! They have it at Sleepy Hollow (obviously) and in Epcot near the American Adventure.
You should just get an AP and do that to see the decorations. Halloween isn't that important, I think MK is the only park that decorates, but you have to see the Christmas stuff, the castle is so pretty! Once you see it lit up, you will think it looks kind of strange without the lights!
You have to do rope drop...Caitlin will love it! Pluto and Jasmine were in it when I saw it!
Ummm...I ripped it.

My sister showed me this website you can use to convert the video to an mp3 or whatever so I just did that. It was pretty cool. Sadly they just shut down the site though.
How could Brandon think the opening show is silly?!

I love that show! Glad you got to see it. Main Street sure looked busy right away. But you gotta love those Christmas decorations. Aww I want to go. LOL.
Oh, I wish I knew how to get music from
youtube! Too bad they shut down the site...if you ever find something similar, let me know!
Brandon thinks people singing and dancing about Disney World is silly...he changed his mind once the characters came out! MK really wasn't too busy, I think it was just the rush of people going in from rope drop that made Main Street look so crowded!
I want to go back too. Like, now!
Looks like your MK day was off to a good start.
I'm so happy you finally got to see the opening show!
It was a great way to start our day, the opening show is so cute!
Glad you got there in time and got a good spot for the MK rope drop

I have only been able to get my butt up and ready for the rope drop at EPCOT and that was not planned
That mickey waffle looks good!! I was having a hard time finding breakfast at MK too, I didnt plan well for that
LOL this was the first time in 4 trips with Brandon that I've actually made it to rope drop...I wanted to try when we were there in May but it didn't work out! How is rope drop at Epcot? Do they do anything special?
Yeah there are not too many options at MK for breakfast unless you go to Crystal Palace! I know a lot of people go to the bakery but we walked by there and it was mobbed...no one was at Sleepy Hollow, so that was nice! And the view of the castle while you eat is beautiful!
I would pick Le Cellier over Illuminations any day! The filet is so yummy. Next time I will have to sub the potatoes for the risotto, sounds even better.
Yay for making rope drop at MK. You and Brandon took some good pictures. Oh, and I didn't know that Sleepy Hollow had Mickey waffles. Will have to remember that!
Mmmm...I wish I was in Epcot right now about to be going to an ADR at Le Cellier! I would love a filet and some mashed potatoes! I wonder if it's going to be different now that it's a signature restaurant?
I didn't know that Sleepy Hollow had them either, luckily I had that app on my phone...if I didn't we would have just been wandering around looking at menus!
I'm going to try to do an update tonight, but I've been neglecting my poor Christmas tree so I want to get that done...so if I don't do an update tonight, I definitely will this weekend!
