We all have our favorite resort we've stayed at or dreamed of staying at but...

what's your least favorite resort you've stayed at? For me it's AKL not that it wasn't great but just compared to the others it was my least favorite. It seemed to get to any of the dining options it was a long ways from our room.

ASMu. In an attempt to save a bit of money I booked our 8 night April 2011 trip there; it was my first and last value experience. It was only myself and DD (2 at the time) and after our first night I upgraded to CSR. The resort was too big for my liking and the room way too small. Between our luggage, DD's stroller and supplies and the pack 'n play I felt incredibly claustrophobic in the room.

Technically, I have only stayed at the POP when on-site. I have visited most of the others though and eaten at their QS while using my free-dining credits.

My least favorite was the Yacht Club. The perfume in the lobby burned my eyes and would have sent me into a full-blown asthma attack if I had not walked right back out. They don't pump in perfume at the value resorts...only cigarette smoke right outside the main hall entrance.

The food variety at the values is great for having food allergies and not wanting to spend so much time eating at the resort. I can't imagine staying at one of the Deluxe resorts and only having one QS meal available to eat the whole vacation.

So as far as the deluxe resorts go...they are nice places to visit, but I wouldn't want to stay there (Unless it was for my honeymoon).

Coronado Springs Resort for me.

I didn't care much for the theming at this resort or the food court.

When we got to our room after checking in there were some dirty women's panties on the floor in the bathroom behind the door. That really was the biggest complaint. I guess things can always be missed but it really just bothered me.

That said...if it were my only on property choice I would still stay at CSR over ANY off property resort/hotel.

Of course, on my first trip, it was GF. But every year, I am falling more and more in love with BW. In 2025, I am retiring, it is 5 days at BW and then 9 days in the Med.

Definitely CBR

It was our first time, and every one in our party hated it. (myself, DH, my mom and her husband) my son was only 3 at the time so he really doesn't remember too much.
It was WAY too spread out for our taste, IF (BIG IF) we ever stay there again we would book a preferred room. When we stayed there, there wasn't a preferred category you could book. We did request to be near the food court and we were the farthest from it possible.

Not only that, I guess I really don't care for the theme of the resort.

We have stayed at POP, POFQ, Poly, AKL, BWI, CR and SSR, I would gladly stay at any of these again, CBR, I will pass, not for us.

ASMu. We stayed in a family suite and it was awful. The furnishings looked cheap and kind of beat up. The door to the accessible bathroom (didn't need accessible suite) didn't close, the toilet wasn't properly seated on the floor, and housekeeping was terrible (very late in the day every day and not particularly thorough.......the only time in all our trips that I stopped tipping housekeeping). If it was FREE, I wouldn't stay there again.

My least favorite was the Contemporary. I think our room was as far away from the main building as possible. To much of a hike to the monorail. I have stayed at CB, POR, POP, ASSp, ASMu, ASMo. I like them all and stayed at all of them multiple times but ASMo is my favorite.

C.B.R - no doubt our least favorite for many reasons.

I am staying there soon in August! But that's ok it's not poly but I am came so my dd and her BFF could afford to come its bffs first onsite stay.

For me OKW wasn't our fav. The main pool was too far ! You needed a car or to take internal busses. Who wants to ride a bus wet after swimming :confused3

Funny I don't like that spread out-ness yet CBR/CSR walking doesn't bother me?

I would go back to OKW again but my family is more fussy.

AS Sports and AS Movies.

I am not a value girl, but being young and having to decide between quality and quantity of trips...I've ended up at those two before. Probably doesn't help that my first two on site trips were at the Poly and the CR...I got spoiled! Now my husband and I want to stay at all the resorts so I think we will be at AS Music next time just to get it over with. We are rope drop to close people so it probably won't be too bad...

Ours was POR. It was our first stay ever in WDW and they gave us an awful room in AB. It was dirty with trash on the floor. I called Mousekeeping and had it cleaned, but it made me wonder if the beds had been done or not? The beds themselves were so bad that I literally could not get out of bed in the morning because I was in so much pain. The faucets leaked and our room was in the middle of nowhere. The experience was so bad that we stayed off property the next time we went. Now, I would demand another room, but then I did not know any better. :scared1:

ASMovies for sure... We stayed there for a place to sleep only, and for that it was fine. We stayed a second time for three nights and it was bad.

Our room was at the furthest section of Herbie, the mouse keeping didn't show up one day, and showed up at 5:00 PM another day when we were resting before dinner. The furniture was too small to store our clothes, and cheap as well. The pools and public areas were crowded and they didn't have enough cast members for the number of guests, causing very long lines.

I'd be hard-pressed to stay value again.

The Poly. Yes, THE Poly. I know this is heresy, but there it is. We really did not like it. We stayed in a MK view room and had a great view, but that was about the only positive about the resort. The monorail access was not fantastic, and the decor just didn't do it for me. To each their own!

All Star Sports. At the same time as a humongous hoard of cheerleaders. Nuff said. Our first and last stay at a value.

The Polynesian, we gave it 2 tries.
CMs didn't know the layout of the resort.
CMs were unenthusiastic- didn't expect jumping for joy but a "Welcome" or "Hello" would have been nice.
The rooms reminded me of a funeral parlor.
Volcano pool was too small for the size of the resort.
Captain Cooks made me feel like I was in an elementary school cafeteria.

I am considering giving it a 3rd go round because the rooms are not as gloomy since the rehab.

CBR. Too big, too spread out, too many bus stops, room way too far from pool/food area. Plus, I know this is subjective, but we just didnt feel the Disney magic there.

ASMo. It was awful....from the sparse rooms to the larger than life tacky theming and horrific bus service and nasty food court. I was a complete Disney newbie and this was the second week of our honeymoon. We were trying to save some money after dropping a huge amount of cash on the cruise for the first week of our honeymoon. I have since stayed at WL & BLT. Those are more my type even though I think they charge Waldorf prices for Holiday Inn accommodations.

So far AKL and AoA. We've pretty much stayed everywhere and I wouldn't want to stay at either of these places. AKL just didn't feel very Disney to us and AoA seemed a bit too cheap to us. We stayed at POP and loved it, so we decided on AoA, but it just wasn't us. Not a fan of BWV either. It seemed to take forever for the elevator but it was nice to walk to EPCOT since that's where we spent most of our time.
