We all have our favorite resort we've stayed at or dreamed of staying at but...

Mine was AoA.

The room itself was fine (I've done ASMu and I knew what to expect as far as the accomedations themselves). So the small beds/space, no coffee pot, etc were not a negative. Though I will say the shower was a little claustophobic. I felt like I was in a cave. LOL I also did not mind the walk AT ALL. I didn't think it was bad, and had no problem with the length. I liked the food court okay but I will say that I tried the Indian food and was not a fan, but have since figured out that I don't like any Indian Food.

I am not a fan of the over the top themeing. I probably should have known better cause POP has never appealed to me, but I thought it might be different as I love the movies that AoA was based on. But no. I hated walking by the Ursula statue (I do have a weird phobia/adversion to large scale things like that, walking under the whale skeltons at musuems wigs me out as well). It was super over decorated and super crowded (not that Disney isn't crowded everywhere) but the sheer amount of families/people in small spaces was unnerving. I just found it not relaxing at all. I prefer a quieter, and more subtle resort.

POP still remains last on my list of places I'd want to stay but AoA is right there with it.

I am really surprised how many people didn't like a resort based on bus service. Bus service is hit or miss ANYWHERE. That's a totally seperate issue. Some of the best busing I've taken has been at ASMu and one of the worst was at ASMu. One resort two completly different bus experiences. I'll be honest one of the reasons I love PO resorts is the boat, love that boat. But I am weird that I actually like the bus rides.

I have stayed at ASMu, Pop, AoA, and POR. I will be staying at POFQ in Nov.

I liked all of them. But I fell in love with the quietness of POR. I am hoping I get the same feeling at POFQ.

For that reason, I hope not to stay at a value again, but if that is what the budget allows, I would stay at Pop or AoA again.

CSR by a long shot. We gave it two tries and both times it sucked. HORRID bussing...at all times of the day. Nasty food. Way too spread out. Hate the convention goers...

And the themeing screams "convention resort anywhere BUT Disney" to me. I just...hated it.

We love CBR, even staying in Trin South never felt as long of a walk as CSR.

We are Pop and AKL die-hards now, though. AKL for the first part where we kick back and relax and then Pop when all we need is a bed and a shower. I will be at my happy place in under 24 hours - cannot wait!

My least favorite resort is probably Boarwalk Inn because of the main pool ....

This giant clown is so creepy :scared:

Of the ones we have stayed at (Contemporary, Polynesian, All Star Sports, All Star Music, Beach Club Villas--just me, not hubby, Animal Kingdom Lodge/Kidani, Coronado Springs and Old Key West), our least favorite was a tie: both values were horrid (and I will never stay at another one) and I will probably be slammed, but I was not overly impressed with the Beach Club Villas. We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas this December, but as of now Old Key West and Animal Kingdom are our favorites. The ones we've not stayed at, we have no desire to stay at (although we would give POR-Riverside a shot).

Least favorite was All Stars Music.

Too loud. The walls were paper thin and I could hear every little creak and moan (the PG kind, thank goodness) in the adjoining rooms. Whenever a toilet flushed, it echoed through our bathroom.

I only stayed 1 night and had a 2 day hopper (at the time it was MUCH less than it is now).

I've only stayed at 2. Grand Floridan and Contemporary. I'd stay at either again, but if I had to pick one over the other, I would favor Contemporary, because of the monorail. My son LOVES trains. And watching him light up as he sees one pass by when we are eating breakfast/dinner is priceless.

GF is too formal for my laid back family.

Yep. My least favorite was the Poly too. I know...I feel like I should duck and cover or something, lol.

I am OK with people not liking the Poly! It leaves more room for me! lol! We have loved all the hotels we have stayed in for different reasons-every stay is different in a different hotel and that makes it fun to us! :cool1:

Wow! There are some resorts here that I'm surprised at. Everyone has different tastes, I guess. I don't really have a resort that I absolutely don't like although BCV didn't thrill me when we stayed there last time. Funny thing is I'm staying at BCV again this December as a split stay along with the BWV, which I love, by the way. So I'm willing to give it another shot. The upside is that BCV is close to Epcot.

Oooh...have fun! You must be psyched!
