Well, all that changed this week because I got a permanent teaching job! :goodvibes I'm so happy that I will finally have my own classroom and be able to teach my kids for the entire year, rather than just popping in a for a week or two at a time. I will be teaching 9th and 10th grade English, and I couldn't be more excited!

Congratulations! I am so excited for you! I loved my 9th and 10th grade years in English! Lots of good books to read!

Girl text me & remind me! But I would have guessed Space Mountain!

Excuse me ma'm, when can I expect a TR update? I'm going crazy over here!! ;)

Me too, it's really annoying.

Congratulations on the job and the apartment!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Ugh I know I hate those darn things! :headache:

Thank you so much!

Hello all my DIS friends! :wave2: I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! I am so sorry I haven't posted a trip related update in a while. I have been pretty busy getting ready to start my new job and move. :guilty: But here I am now, with a very special trip update!

I was talking to my very good friend Heather (HeatherBelle614) last night, and we were discussing ways that I could add something special to this trip to surprise DH. It will be our first vacation together in a long time, and since it is around Christmas and we will technically be celebrating our second anniversary (six months late ) I really wanted to surprise him with something nice. Well, Heather had a brilliant idea! So thanks to her, the first thing I decided to do was...

:santa:A Holiday Sleigh Ride!:santa:
We will be taking a special private "sleigh" ride through Fort Wilderness on Wednesday, December 29th at 9:00pm! We will get to see all of the Christmas decorations, and we are allowed to bring sparkling cider or champagne or anything we want to enjoy on the ride! It sounds so special and romantic, I can't wait! :lovestruc I think I will definitely bring a bottle of champagne or something, and maybe a blanket for our laps, even though it probably won't be cold!

After Heather helped me make this decision, I started trying to think of other little perks I could add to make our trip even more special. Well, being the copycat that I am, I decided to "borrow" (;)) my good friend Jen's (Nermel9) idea and I booked...

:mickeybarThe Wishes Dessert Party!:mickeybar
I am really excited about this one because we will be doing it on Sunday, December 26, which is our arrival day! What a special way to start our vacation together! Plus, I was looking at some pictures from the event and the dessert looked AMAZING! :lovestruc Also, I always have the hardest time at MK finding a good place to view the fireworks. And since we are going to be there during the busiest time of the year I know it would be even harder this year. But now we don't have to worry about it, and we will get to enjoy some delicious desserts while we watch the best fireworks show on the planet! :woohoo:

So, what do you all think of my special surprises? Chances are pretty good they won't be surprises for long, because I am the world's worst at keeping a secret! But I'm going to do my very best, because I want DH to have a really special trip. Thank you again Heather for your brilliant idea and helping me brainstorm! :lovestruc And thank you Jen for having a great idea that I copied! :rotfl:

Don't forget everyone, I will be back sometime later today to post Round 4 of The Waiting Game! :goodvibes I hope everyone is ready to play! I'm going to try to make this one really hard! ;)

See ya real soon! :earsboy:

I'm so glad you were able to get booked! Sorry I missed your text; we were downstairs watching the DLR part of the Planning DVD with my mom before Brad heads to work.

I can't wait to hear how the carriage ride and dessert party go!! You'll have to text me during your trip! I'll do the same in October and we can live vicariously through each other!

Just don't make DH touch your hand for no reason or he might get MADDDDDDDD. :rotfl:

All caught up with your PTR...how exciting to be spending Xmas/New Years at WDW....you'll LOVE the decorations!!

Now, waiting for the WAITING game post........popcorn::

Yay, I'm so excited for you! :goodvibes The holiday sleigh ride sounds like so much fun! I was hoping I could do that during my trip, but it doesn't start til after Thanksgiving! :(

And yay for the Wishes dessert party! You're not a copycat, please, I wouldn't have known it was extended if it weren't for the Disboards anyway, so it's not like it was my brilliant idea! :rotfl: I'm so happy that you're doing it too! And it will be nice that you have a good place to watch Wishes instead of trying to fight the crowds! :cool1: I can't wait to try all those yummy desserts! :dance3:

Thank you!! I was so happy to see that the sleigh ride goes past Christmas so we could do it! I'm sorry it doesn't start until after Thanksgiving, but at least you get MVMCP! :goodvibes

A lot of my trip is inspired by your plans so I am really excited about reading your TR when you get back! :rotfl: Those desserts look amazing! Did you see the chocolate covered strawberries?!

Yay for your surprises! We are doing the Wishes party too, we did it last August and it was PHENOMENAL!!!! My mom wasn't with us that time though, and I know she was jealous :lmao: so we are doing it the night of our MVMCP. I guess that means that day is going to be our most special day, since we are doing before the park opens breakfast, a photo shoot, CRT dinner, MVMCP AND the dessert party. I hope you love it as much as I do!

It's ok that I'm missing the sleigh ride, that just leaves something else for me in a future trip! And I'm planning a surprise or two for this trip anyway, that are almost as good as the sleigh ride...:rolleyes1

LOL, I'm glad I could be inspiring! :rotfl: I didn't think my trip was anything special, but I'm happy to help out! I wish you would have texted me and told me your plans, lady! :sad1:

I DID see the chocolate covered strawberries...and everything else! There was only one thing I don't care about trying, something with mango...everything else looks amazing!!!! :dance3: I'll send you updates while I'm there, stuffing myself with desserts! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone! I'm back again, but still not with Round 4 of The Waiting Game. It's coming soon, I promise! ;) I have another small trip related update to share with you!

As you already know from my post earlier, DH and I will now be enjoying the Wishes Dessert Party at MK on our arrival day, December 26. I have seen some pictures of the dessert they have at this party, and it looks really great. So, I started looking at my ADRs and realized that we had a ressie that evening at Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:55. There's no way I could eat a family style dinner and then enjoy all of those desserts less than two hours later. I got on the WDW website and switched some things around, and now our ressie for Liberty Tree Tavern is at 5:35. That gives us some more time to digest before we go into sugar overload!

But here's what I'm thinking: I really want to be able to fully enjoy the Wishes Dessert Party. And I still might be too full to do that, even if we eat at 5:35. So now I think that I will wait until our trip is 90 days away, and call about booking the Candlelight Processional package at Epcot for December 28. We already have ressies for that night at Le Cellier, so I'm hoping I can keep those and get that package. If I do that, it will take 2 of our TS credits, and I can just cancel the Liberty Tree Tavern meal. What do you guys think? Is that a good idea? I really want to see the Candlelight Processional while we are at Epcot, and that would guarantee seats for us, and we would get a guaranteed view of IllumiNations! Has anyone done this package before?

Remember, The Waiting Game is coming soon! :rolleyes1

You are very inspiring! You make wonderful trip plans. I am constantly like, "Hmm...good idea Jen. Maybe I'll do that!" I'm so sorry I didn't text you! I was so jazzed up about booking it I didn't have my head on straight!

Oh yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. They were mango shooters or something? I like mangoes, so I will probably try it, but even I thought they looked a little questionable. Yessss, please send me updates! I will be texting you like, "What are you eating now? Now? NOW???" :rotfl:

I think the CP package sounds like a good idea but we haven't done it before. We're still waiting for reservations to open up (trying to snag Le Cellier on 24 Dec). :)

Depending on what the policy is this year, you may be able to get reservations for the package before 90 days out. The thread I've been following is this one: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2426127

I would definately recommend the CP dinner package---it's the best way to dine and get your seats for CP guaranteed. A word of warning...there are only A limited amount of tables reserved for the CP package. I would call and see what they have available.....and then GRAB it. Le Cellier is probably the MOST POPULAR of the dining locations offering the CP package, so plan to spend your Epcot evening with dinner and the CP.

The way it works is that there are 3 CP shows....5:00, 6:45 and 8:00. If you go to the 5:00 show, then you're dining reservations will be for AFTER (which runs the risk that you will be still eating while Illuminations starts). If you elect the 2nd CP show, then it's a crap shoot, you could either get a real EARLY dinner time or somthing after the show is over, and you'd DEFINATELY miss Illuminations. IMO the best is to try to get the LAST show, so your dining reservation is closer to a normal dinner time, and the CP ends about 10 minutes before Illuminations starts...a WIN/WIN all around!!

I think your plan ROCKS!! :woohoo:

I would definitely try to do the Candlelight Processional if I were you, and I think getting a package is the best way to do it! Another thing I'm missing out on by going before Thanksgiving! :confused3 I just don't know if they let you add the package to an existing reservation? If they do, I say go for it, you can always eat at LTT another time, or even pay for it OOP if you really want to try it! :cool1:

Oooh what surprises?! That is exciting!!

LOL...if I do decide to do these special things, I will definitely text you and let you know, right now I'm just thinking about it!

Thanks, I really didn't think my plans were that great! I keep meaning to post an itinerary but I never get around to it! And I know I'm going to change it 10 more times before November :) It's ok that you didn't text me, I was just joking, but I love talking about Disney plans, so anytime you're thinking of doing something, feel free to text me, anytime! My DH is SO sick of hearing about Disney and planning and everything!

I'm not a big fan of mangoes...I like Mango Madness Snapple! But that's about it, so I will most likely skip that! Maybe I'll try one and let you know how it is while I'm there! Like I said, text me anytime during my trip, I LOVE updating people while I'm there! :goodvibes

The stuff I've found on the DIS has said that last year the package changed to where they make you eat before your CP show. So, for the 5:00 show, you end up eating lunch and for the 6:45 show you end up eating a pretty early dinner. I think the last show is the best option, but the reserved viewing area (if they do that again this year) is near the entrance to WS from the Future area which makes for a long walk in not much time to make it after the CP is over before Illuminations starts. I think Illuminations doesn't start until 9:30 on CP nights, which gives you 15-20 minutes to make the walk.
