You like Fernandez Steve. Maybe I got my facts wrong but was it not Tony who screwed up an easy play with 2 out in the ninth against Florida? Did that not cost them the series? But hey, he is a nice guy.:p

Higgs, being a Bruins fan did you ever see #4 play? As well, truth or myth - the scar marks on Cheevers mask reflected the number of places on his face where he has to get stitches.

I don't know about you guys but Adri and M in the pit sound pretty good. Does anyone know what the Vegas Line would be on that:p

Who cares, as long as someone's clothes get ripped. ;)

I forgot about that play -- must have had something to do with being on a plane to Maui for my honeymoon or something? :teeth:

Now, if you had said "Jose Mesa, slider" -- then, we would have had issues! :p  ;)

Jose Mesa - man they showed movies on some of the taters he served up.:p

I think they really miss Willy Mays Hayes

"Remember, fans, Tuesday is Die Hard Night. Free admission for anyone who was actually alive the last time the Indians won the pennant"

BTW - where the heck is Lizzie?!? I wanted to tell her that I finally got my Clay mag! :D

All this baseball talk has me turned off. Maybe that's also the case with OT, Jas and Lizzie. I don't see what the big deal about baseball is - I have to put it up there with golf and bowling -- BORING! How can you guys watch that for all those hours? I play softball on a little intramural team here at UF - and if it lasted more than 50 minutes, I'd go nuts! I play 'cause I get to spend time with friends, but mostly it's an excuse to go drink afterwards. (not that I drink alcohol, but my friends do, and I like to hang out with them).

I just don't get it.

That's okay KP - I'm sort of the same way about Basketball and most motorsports. And golf. And tennis.
At least you get fulfillment out of your softball team - it must be great to have a group of people like that to hang out with.

Boss...saw him on TV....I did go to games while he was a Bruin...but it was at the tail end of his career, and he was always injured...don't remember much...I was only 6 or 7 at the time (but a HUGE sports fan...I can remember watching one game on TV where Orr was playing for Chicago (oh the humanity...))

As for the Mask...close...the marks represented the spots he would have to get stitches if he didn't wear the mask...I can remember him playing very clearly...loved that mask...:)

As for the Indians...I think if they get Ricky Vaughn back...it'll make the difference...

"Juuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit outside...."

"Hats for bats...keep bats warm...Gracias."

GO Astros and Phillies! Yes, these teams will probably not win but it's all about sticking with your team.

Kp, I'm with you completely on the Golf and Bowling. Golf is just as boring as watching paint dry and bowling can't be considered a sport because you can drink while doing it.

So what's the silliest sport that people watch? Me, I'm hooked on the World Toughman competitions. I can't get enough of watching Magnus, Angus, and the rest of those big 'ole teddy bears huff and puff as they throw kegs over walls and pull 18-wheelers down a path. And the women's competitions - they're even better.

Excuse me, I think I've stumbled into the ESPN Club by accident...I was looking for Spoodles.

The silliest sport people watch - it's tied - bowling and cheerleading  ;)

my fave silly sport is curling. You know, where one guy shoots the thing down the ice, and two other guys alternately squeegee and sweep the ice so it keeps moving/slowing down. A very cool pasttime indeed

Ice Dancing by far is the silliest sport.
That's NOT even a sport - that's a GAME! (just like gymnastics, figure skating and synchronized swimming) :teeth:

Ok - what is the World Championship of Poker doing on ESPN??!!??

Between ESPN, Discovery and TLC I've determined that if it moves even a little bit, we race it. If more than 4 guys are racing it, they sanction it. 6 guys, and there's announcers.

Announcers for Poker? What has the world come to?!?!?!
