Sorry to bring back memories but that reminded me of the time the Jays picked up Mookie Wilson (remember him) and Lee Mazzili from the Mets, I believe in 1989. The Jays were fighting Boston for top spot in the East - none of that carp Wild Card thing then - and it came down to the final weekend or something. Anyways, I recall a game where the game was tied and Mookie was on third and stole home to win the game. During the play the back catcher (not Javy Adri, probably Tony Pena at that time) threw to third, third back home. I recall the Third Base coach saying "Mookie just out ran the ball" - Jay win East in 1989. My point, that darn Mookie

Tell me something Higgs. I have heard about 100 different stories with respect to the Green Monster - are they taking it with them to the new park - all of it - some of it?

Madonna's just sore because she lost our bet and had to beautify her first post with the classic Boston Red Sox logo....

Boss...I do think the Sox may make a run a the Yankees this year...they seem to be turning things around....could be fun....and SWEET!

As for the Green Monster...I don't think it could be moved if the Sox ever built a new park (the wall's just too big, and besides...I don't think they are ever going to build a new park...just keep milking Fenway for everything they can....and take it from me...the place is overrated...the field is nice...but the rest of the park's a dump of epic proportions....the seats are cramped...the concourses are a joke...and it's just plain dirty....)
But I think there are plans to leave the wall standing as some sort of monument if they ever move out of Fenway and tear it down....

OK...I've gotta go....But I'm going to give M a pass on the Leafs...because I'm a Bruins fan...and I can sympathize with her suffering....

BTW...Steve H. I'm a tribe fan right now...they are doing the Sox a favor by beating the Yankees....now if the Jays can only return the favor this weekend....
