Ladies, could you please share with me your stories and experiences of traveling to WDW while expecting? Did you have a good time or did you regret not cancelling? Guys, how did you and your significant others fair while at the world while pregnant?

I just got back a month ago. I was 20 weeks pregnant while I was there. I had no problems what so ever. You just have to avoid the really rough rides!

The trip before this one though was awful. I was 9 weeks pregnant. I had terrible morning (lasting all day) sickness. Couldn't eat anything and wanted to be sick the entire time we were there. Did not know at the time that we were having twins though! It was truely DOUBLE plus the morning sickness!

I think it depends on your pregnancy. I have been there twice pregnant. The first time, I was 16 weeks and the pregnancy didn't affect me at all. I had no problems with the rides whatsoever. The second time, I was 6 months, and although I showed more, there were no problems whatsoever. It's tough to compare situations though, because it's not about the weeks, it's about how you feel. Good luck to you!

Both pregnancies we went during the 1st trimester. It wasn't bad at all. You just have to remember to take it easy, take lots of breaks, drink lots of water and avoid most of the big thrill rides. I'm glad we went because we had to take it at a slower pace than usual. We weren't running from line to line. It forced us all to slow down and was a lot more relaxing for everyone.

I went during 2 pregnancies - one at about 26 weeks, the other trip at about 32 weeks. I thoroughly enjoyed both trips, and have a couple comments on the allearsnet.com site. The tips there from many of us say it all - have a great trip, take it slow, drink more than you think you need to and take breaks. I love going to the pool - it releases so much of the stresses you don't even know you are feeling!

We went to WDW when I was 18-19 weeks along. We went in March 2003. We originally had a big trip planned for the end of May 2003 to celebrate my graduation from law school, but we canceled that one since it would be a lot warmer and I would be a lot bigger. I'm glad we canceled that one. DH's high school band (he's the percussion instructor) was going to WDW in March for a long weekend so we decided to just go a few days early instead which worked out great.

I was very lucky and never had any morning sickness so that wasn't a concern. I really enjoyed the trip. I avoided any ride that had a warning (but I think the WDW buses are worse than some of the rides! ;)) We had to sit and rest more often, but it was actually nice to do the parks at slower than normal pace. I also drank a lot more water, thus I had to go to the bathroom more. We enjoyed a lot of the smaller attractions that we normally skip. We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour and that was fun, but very tiring as it was a lot of walking...I couldn't sit and rest like I needed...but I made it and enjoyed it. The second half of our trip was spent with DH's band, so he was able to ride some of the thrill rides with the kids and I just sat and waited...which was a great way for me to re-energize.

I LOVED the guilt-free snacking! And be sure to have some extra spending money for baby items...we didn't know what we were having at the time, but if we did I think I would have spent an extra $1000 instead of an extra $100! LOL! We bought DS a large stuffed Mickey and take his picture with it each month to chart his growth...when he turns 1 I'll start taking his picture with it every 6 months.

We took our son when he was 2 and I was 30 weeks pregnant w/ DD. I had a good time, we stopped & took naps during the day - more for DS, but I enjoyed them too;) . DH had to do a little more work, like lugging the stroller on & off the bus alone, but I still ended up carrying DS alot. Some rides say not to ride them Kilamanjari Safari has a warning, but I was told to ride up front & I would be fine. I'm not a roller coaster rider anyway, so I was fine with the rides.
