WDW- what's your True Confession?

might get hounded for this, but I don't really care for the new castle show The Magic, The Memories, and You.

Count me in the group that can NOT miss rope drop. I get anxious and think about all of the people in front of me!

Our family motto: If I wanted to sleep in and relax, I'd go to a nice resort on the beach. I go to WDW because I want to do/see as much as I possibly can!! :)

I have never:

Been to rope drop
Been on Astro Orbiter
Been on Peter Pan
Been on Winnie the Pooh
Been on Splash Mountain
Been on anything in Dinoland USA except for Dinosaur

I don't care for parades either, to a point I like them but eventually its like "ok...its a float, what's up Pluto? I'd like to go shop or something now"
I think the Magic Memories and You thing is ridiculous.
I hold a vendetta against Push.

Finally rode Soarin' (after my husband described it to me as being different than what it was -- he said you laid down in a harness and they inverted you) and I just didn't see the big deal.

I've never been in the Enchanted Tiki room.

Walking around World Showcase, we always skip Mexico (although we have eaten at the CS outdoor restaurant).

At Blizzard Beach, I freak out on the chair lift (any chair lift frightens me). Rode it in 2002 on our honeymoom, once, and refused after that. Gave it another chance last month and after the first ride up, I took the stairs from then on. I was good for the first two or three minutes and then I really started freaking out. However, since DD was with us (she's 3). I couldn't show my anxiety. I was so close to a panic attack, I rode it up with my eyes closed. What's funny, is I really thought I was doing well, until minute three or four hit and then it was all about "How does this thing stay on the rope?" "What if a strong gust hit?" "OMG why do they have rocks underneath us?" Later that day, the things stopped at people were riding it. I kissed the stairs as we were climbing up to the top. Had I been on the chair lift when it stopped, you know EMS would have arrived at the park. I gave it a shot, and from now on, I'll just get my workout for the week by climbing the stairs.

Getting up early is something you do in Basic Training or baby care because you have no other choice.

For me, Rope Drop makes sense because my baby wakes me up that early anyways.

I hate parades!

I also hate parades. I think they're just an excuse for people to loiter and block pathways.
I'm actually not a huge fan of fireworks either. The ones at Disney don't bother me much, unless it's really hot or really cold.

I once killed a cast member who told my daughter she was too short for Space Mountain.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I like it when it rains at Disney, because it means everyone runs for cover, while I get the park to myself.

I don't like the parades either. I see them more as opportunities for slightly shorter lines to the attractions.

I actually liked Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carrey.

I saw Captain EO at least 7 or 8 times on our last trip.

Even though I've done M:S before they split it into green and orange, I always do the green version b/c for some reason I psych myself too much for the orange.

I don't like the new ending to Spaceship Earth even though the ride as a whole is one of my all-time favorites.

I could ride Living with the Land multiple times in a row and still be good for one more.

I have two:

1) I hate hate hate Stitch with every fiber of my being (and I don't know if he's still doing the wake up calls but on my last trip I tried every single day in case Micky would call me -- no luck!)

I completely agree with you. I feel that Stitch is being shoved down our throats. I wish that Disney would do more with other characters like Wall-e, I haven't seen them do anything with him.

Another thing is that I don't like the fantasyland expansion. I like it the way it is/was!!!!! I think the whole Disney Princess thing is completely overrated.

I have never been on:
Soarin', Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest, Mission: Space, Stitch, Astro Orbiter to name a few.
I hate POTC just because of the tiny drop :rotfl:
I have never had a Turkey Leg, Dole Whip, Popcorn in MK
:sad2:

I have never been on
Expedition Everest,Astro Orbitor,Magic Carpets, Rock'n'roller coaster

I don't care for
Tom Sawyer
Face Characters (I will meet them BUT don't care for them as much)

I think (Blank) is overrated
Soarin
Test Track
CRT
Wishes
Illuminations

I miss
Lotso
Mr.Toad's Wild Ride

I actually like
Chef Mickey's
Duffy
Muppet Vision 3-D
Pop Century Resort
Meeting the Characters (non face)

I cannot bring myself to pay more than Value for a resort, I don't do "resort" things like swim, hang out by the pool etc etc....It would waste money. When I am at WDW I am there to go to the parks and DTD.

I spend way to much money on souvies at WDW

WOW! Confession is good........

Ok I have 2 as well.

I can't stand IASW!!! Ugh, on my first trip to WDW at 40yrs old I had to ride it...of course it is a classic. By halfway thru I was wanting to rip my ears off. UGH that song....:scared1:

Second, I really don't like World Showcase. :rolleyes1 Hope I don't get bashed. It is not for me. Did it once and that was enough.
Now I do like the Mexican Pavillion, but they just may be the tequila bar and San Angel Inn. :rotfl2:

Joining in...

I have never been to Rope Drop. Ever.
I also have never had a Dole Whip (but am planning on trying one in Aug).
I have never been to either BB or TL. No interest in water parks.
Really don't care for the Tiki room, or Stitch.
I have NEVER liked Figment. He soooo annoys me! :lmao:
I have always told DD that the lines were "just too long to wait" for Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain mostly cause I'm kinda scared to ride them now. She has me figured out now though, and insists we do them this year!

I have been to WDW 7 times and have never ridden Snow White - the line has always been too long to justify getting into since it is not a Fast Pass attraction.

I could pretty much skip AK.

I tricked my family into wearing "Lime Green Mickey Heads" without telling them what they meant. While I was running for fastpasses, my DH was given the "sign of the Focker" in EPCOT and had no idea what was going on. The woman explained and he wanted to kill me when I got back!:lmao:;)

Well now I must try a Dole Whip and Captain EO.

I have quite a few confessions, but here's THE one. As a grown man who seemingly "has it altogether" and can sometimes have a hard shell and a tough demeanor, I often find myself getting choked up at Disney. Seriously, I find myself holding back the tears (mostly) during Spectro and Wishes, but sometimes at other random things that just tug at my heart strings.

I 110% agree with this! Some mornings I am the ONLY one in my group that goes to rope drop because everyone else is sleeping in and I just CAN'T sleep in at Disney! Last rope drop by myself at HS I rode TSM 4 times (walk-on 3X & 1 fp), RRC & ToT once each, did a 30 minute drawing class, stopped for a butterfinger cupcake, and made it back to the resort before anyone else even woke up!:yay:[/QUOTE]

Wow! I need to go on vacation with YOU!!! :rotfl:

Ok - here are mine:

- Not fond of AK park - I don't think we were there the last 2 trips!
- Absolutely hate the Tiki Room - I'd rather take multiple trips thru It's a Small World (so you know how much I hate it). lol
- Kind of getting tired of the characters. Love places like Crystal Palace but sometimes I just don't want to take that 200th picture with Pooh! (sorry Pooh - I do still love you though!)
- Even though we go back to the Poly alot (in fact, we're going again in August) I just don't think it's maintained as well as some of the other hotels. I know it's 1 of the oldest but it's such a popular hotel and 1 of the most expensive - it should be cleaned better!
- I cry all the time at WDW - when I see Wishes for the first and last time, whenever I hear "When You Wish Upon a Star" and when the characters on the video on the Magical Express bus is waving goodbye to us on the way back to the airport.

Phew - that feels better!

- Snow White is my least favorite princess by a long shot. It's nothing she's done personally but her ride scared the crap out of me when I was a kid!

- Epcot is boring to me. My parents pushed the whole "educational" aspect of it when we were kids and it ruined it for me. When we go there it's mainly to meet the characters, ride Soarin, Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth. Oh and playing in the water and MouseGears are both great too. For the D23 Scavenger Hunt we set aside a day prior to the event to actually walk thru all of the WS countries so we'd have a general idea of where everything is!

- Love rain at Disney - seriously I was actually actively praying for rain on the first day of the D23 Scavenger Hunt (less crowds).
