Does live entertainment of a character count? Here is Jafar from the Aladin show.

[EDIT]
You can view my photo by clicking the link if you want to see it. But I am officially withdrawing my entry because everyone is scared that my photo is soooooooo good, that nobody else would have a chance at winning (jk).

Ok.... here's where I am having a little trouble. It says no characters, but .... I told someone earlier that they could use photos from the Indiana Jones show because they aren't "real" characters, no meet and greets, etc. But Jafar and Iago, I mean you can meet Jafar, he's a character in parades, Fantasmic, etc. My initial reaction is to say no. He's just a bit too characterish!! Does that make any sense?

Maybe it could be more like street performers? The extra entertainment that shows up daily in the parks. You could rule out actual attractions/shows, though that would rule Indiana Jones out, too. :confused3

I am with you on this one. Here is my opinion. I would say that a character is any portrayal of someone that has appeared in a Disney owned children's entertainment movie or TV show. For example, I would also exclude the Muppets. The Indy movies are not children's entertainment, so I would say alright to the show. The Lion King performer would be alright IMO b/c it is not a character even though there are characters in that show.

It is your decision though as the contest organizer.

ukcatfan - I agree with you on that one. Although Indy is a character he is not a "Disney Character" nor is he a meet and greet kind of character. I don't want to rule out all shows because the people in FOTLK aren't characters they are live entertainers. However, I wouldn't accept Simba, Pumba, or Timon from those shows.

I hope this helps everyone to understand.

Makes sense to me, thats why I asked. But do you mind if I tell people that I was disqualified from the contest because my photo was TOO good, rather than being outside of the guidelines? My photography needs any ego boost it can get! :lmao:
