WDW Weather first week of May?

Hey all! New to this forum, and it looks like such a great place filled with information!

I was wondering what the weather is like during the first week of May, was hoping to be in crocs/sandals the majority of the stay!

I’ve been there at that time once before, in 2017. It was hotter than I was expecting, like temps in the 90s. Where we live in Illinois, it had been in the 40s the week before, so it was quite a shock!

It did not rain at all during our trip.

I have been a few times in the first two weeks of May. It has been hot to very hot with a few nice days. Usually it is from the high 80's to the mid 90's. Our first trip it was 96 almost every day. There have been some days in the high 70's to the mid 80's that were great. Humidity has varied throughout the trips. It has rained a few times for 30 minutes, sometimes very hard rain but still hot out.

It can be really hot in May, also prepare for rain. I find that it rains a LOT in May.

I guess the weather can be really random, I'll make sure to prepare for the rainy weather. Do you find anything in terms of rides get delayed during the moments where there is rain?

Any ride with an outside element will go down when it rains. Any ride with an outside element (including the skyliner) will go down if there is lightning within a certain radius even if it isn’t raining at the moment.

We generally go around the first week of May, and I’ve been when it’s very pleasant, and I’ve been when it’s unbearably humid and pours each afternoon. It’s on the cusp of that nice spring weather and the yuck days of summer.

Highly variable. Most likely warm and maybe a few showers.

We were there the first week in May last year and it was hot. No rain, just hot.

We had not been to WDW in a few years but we would always go at the same time - for my birthday- and it was never as uncomfortable as it was last year.
