I'm an OLD 26 So that means....my age might be 26...but at times I seem to be more of 40 than 26 My fiance is a YOUNG 37....really a 2 year old inside all the time. never will grow up

2Be- I think that "most" you are referring to are under the age of about 18, not 30... (I don't know any 20-something's who think that Britney or Justin have talent over say Elton John or Steven Tyler - but I could be wrong...)

Jas - I gotta tell you, last night I downloaded - opps I mean bought some of the competitors AI songs...and for fun I got Josh's *Celebration*...after I finished laughing - I decided that Im gonna keep it - it's will be great to play when I want to get rid of unwanted family guests...rotflmbo...

okay...an edit...that "most" is under the age of 25....and will probably grow to a higher age as this generation gets older. I know very few people who would see an Elton/Billy Joel concert over a Britney/Christina/ Avril Lavigne/Norah Jones/Creed/DMB/ etc... Am I making any sense today?

the ONLY concert I would attend from the one's you posted is Creed...I wouldnt go to Britney 'cause all she does is lipsync at concerts, Christina (I use to REALLY like after she did Mulan, and I REALLY like her music) but I CANT STAND to look at her - she looks like a witch?!?

Avril is just annoying - GREAT music - but annoying...I can't even imagine what intelligent (or lack there of) thing she would say between songs...

Norah just is not *young generation* to me. Plus I hate her style of music...bleh....

2Be, have you ever been to a Springsteen concert or anyone of his caliber or stature??? Please do not compare a Norah to Bruce, Elton, Madonna, Steven or anyone else like that. I have been to plenty of Boss concerts I can tell you that there were a lot of young people in the audience. Performers like the ones mentioned know that the music does the talking, not the theatrical crap behind them.

Norah Jones beat out the Boss at the Grammy’s this year for album of the year. Did you not notice everyone chanting Brrruuuuceeeee after the nominations were made, and he was against all yung’ uns. When Norah’s name was announced there were Booo’s followed by Brrruuuuceeeee. My 2 cents worth.

By the way, who wants to go see a snot nosed little runt like Avril, did you not see the way she dissed Kelly at the MTV awards this year when Kelly tried to congratulate her for winning New Artist of the Year.

No...I haven't seen a Bruce or Elton or Billy show....and honestly...wouldn't want to. Sorry Boss...I didn't see the whole Avril being snotty to Kelly at the awards show. She's a teenager...they're naturally snotty...but she's got a good set of pipes!
I LOVE Creed...could listen to them over and over again. Also love the Norah Jones cd. I would see her in concert any day of the week. I "like" Christina's songs...but not her looks. That dirty song was just sleeze central. I have the Britney cd's but haven't listened to them in months. Trying to think of the others mentioned.... oh...Jas mentioned No Doubt....I do like them alot. Gwen is very kewl.
Other than that.....you'll find me listening to country music, namely Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss, Leann Rimes, Rascal Flatts. I cannot stand the way Shania looks or performs but her music is SO SO. My tastes in music are varied....so I tend to blend all the pop styles together in the same grouping.

LOL...you sound just like me...I hate to say it - but neither did I....until I saw one (that's when I realized I *grew up* and recognized artists for their music, not their gimmick) and honey - it's too bad, 'cause you dont know what your missing,,,,

Wait a sec...Britney??? Hasn't she gone the way of the Spice Girls yet?!? (oh yeah - Ginger Spice has such a HUGE career now...)

You see - the thing that Bruce, Elton, Steven, Madonna, Billy etc all have in common is they have been around more then 20 years...

For some reason - I don't see the same for the other artists...they are all to *fad like* (thinking New Kid's on the Block, Spice Girls and Jewel here)

Point is - when your THAT good - you dont need a gimmick...if you have good music - you dont need one.
