WDW VMK Dis Meet -May 13

Hey everyone. I'll be at WDW on May 13th and I know there are a few of us who are planning a meet.

Can someone give me the details of where we are meeting and when and of course who will be there , all that good info?

I'm trying to plan our stay, and I just want to make sure that this important Dis meet is included in our plans!

I am really looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'm not going (although that would be a great time to go! gr gr) but I have
a suggestion for a meeting spot.

Since I'm guessing you're going to be doing the new quest, why don't you
all meet by the Kali ride? I think the area with the expedition supplies
would make a nice meeting spot, as it's off to the left and not blocking the
queue entrance.

*usually* those of us who are locals meet at AK at the outside dining tables for the Flame Tree Barbeque. There is an upper level seating area that is centrally located.

I would suggest this as the meeting spot at 11 am on the 13th. I will be there If anyone wants my Cell # to make sure everyone meets up, send me a PM. I have a few people's # already who will probably be there.

This sounds like a fun outing. I will see if I can go. I think my sister-in-law is visiting that weekend, which would cause a conflict for me, but I am sure there will be other times.

I think Flame Tree is a great idea. They have some of the best food in AK!

Just a suggestion--if people want to try to ride everest after lunch as a group, grab a fast pass before lunch.

We arrive on the 19th around 7pm. (I know, I know Jelly, drive faster. ) I so wish we were not missing so many DISers both before and after our trip!

Oh - by the way - when y'all come to the meet - bring your VMK cards, we can have trading.

(And, people can do the Thrill Seekers Quest while we're there at AK!)

CapeCAD and I will be going to Animal Kingdom on the 13th, just not sure where we'll be at 11am. We have an early Boma ADR (7:45am), then plan on heading over to AK after that. I don't think we'll be ready for lunch at 11am though. We're planning on having lunch at Tusker House that day, probably around 1pm, give or take a few.

When this meet was first mentioned, I assumed the location would be at or near Everest. Apparently, I assumed wrong lol We already have plans to dine with at least 6 of you VMKers (DoomCookie, Jellyrolls, DisAeryn, CalifGirl, CL_OutofmyMind, Bezoar, and their families) during this trip at various times and meals, so we'll be seeing many of you already anyway.

If we're not in line for Expedition Everest or some other ride at 11am, we'll stop by Flame Tree and say "Hello". Or maybe meet up afterwards.

Well I just put in my request for days off on Monday May 8, Tuesday May 9, and Saturday May 13. I will definitely be at the Dis - VMK meet on Saturday. On Monday or Tuesday I hope to be doing the VMK in-real-park quests with Caligirl.

Of course I will not know till the Thursday prior to these days if I am actually scheduled to get them off and it will only be definite the night before any of them.
