I LOVE Mickey Mail and can't wait to get my "official" stuff! Cute new luggage tags...they're a lot the same but the Mickey balloons are cute. Nice Monster face, Molly!

I got our order from the Disney Store online. I got a bunch of shirts on clearance for us to wear during the trip. DD's going all out with 6 shirts, DH and I not as much, just 4 for me and 3 for him. He's not excited about his Disney wardrobe :rotfl:

DD and I are going to match a couple of days, lol, and one day we are all three going to wear Wall-E shirts. My DH thinks I'm crazy, but I figure where can we all dress the same and not look like weirdos but at Disney?! :cool1:

Here are DD's shirts:

LOVE the shirts! I got DH the same red Grumpy shirt as your DH and I also have the purple Tink.

You really will be very cute! And tell DH not to worry...he won't be the only DH who is "forced" to be matchy-matchy at Disney! :rotfl:

Nothing happening here today, or probably the rest of the week. On Friday I have a comprehensive exam over what I've learned during my entire course of my studies. To say the least I'm a bit nervous, though I don't have enough time to do much studying. The rest of the week I'll be dedicated to that as much as I can, but count on a report over the weekend and hopefully more regularly after this awful test is behind me!

Okay, despite saying that nothing exciting was going to happen this week because of my exam, I did make some changes.

1. I added park hopping. I've been thinking about it for a while, and while I don't think we'll use it a TON, I think the added flexibility will be nice.
Like for the day we are going to AK and it closes at 6pm. We'll still have a whole night ahead of us if we are feeling up to it. We can have that time to head back to a different park if we missed something or want to do it again.
I also feel like it might make traveling around easier, I have no idea why though...just a newbie thought that is probably completely wrong, haha :lmao:

2. I also added the Akershus Princess Storybook Lunch. I've been trying to find a time, any time, at Cindy's royal table, but there still isn't a breakfast or lunch free the entire time we're there. The nice lady a spoke with on the dining line suggested Akershus for a princess meal so I took it. Now I need to choose something to drop because that brings us to 8 total table meals and our plan only covers six! :scared1: We can certainly pay for one out of pocket, but I'm not really excited to try to pay for two.

3. I got Molly's leash from UPS today. I feel like its just going to be necessary, given her dislike for being stuck in the stroller and her tendency to be completely unaware of her surroundings while walking. We won't use it all the time, but when it gets crowded I know I'll feel SOOO much better if I can have some semblance of control over her, while she doesn't feel tied down to holding a hand the entire time. Anyway its really cute, its a plush Minnie Mouse backpack that has a hook on it to attach the loop too, I'll post pics soon of her modeling it! I know you'll be popcorn:: waiting to see, haha.

Now that I've got park hopping I feel like I need to revisit all my daily schedule and see what might need to be altered to best serve us, and avoid crowds.

Do you think we can spend an entire day at HS? I keep hearing people say its their least favorite park. I know we'll want to see at least a few of the shows and probably at least a few rides...Its times like this I wish I wasn't a newb :confused3:

Okay, back to the books, but I'll be thinking about our trip in the back of my mind the entire time.

Oh yeah, I just remembered to post...I also got my new Teva Mush flip flops today that I ordered on Amazon. Woohoo! Now I've gotta break in these bad boys!

Alright my three or so readers I have questions!! (BTW, I passed my comprehensive test, YAY!!)

I'm planning our day in Epcot and I have the Unofficial Guide's one day touring plan for small children. They have a few attractions listed that I'm thinking DD either won't find interesting or won't sit through, or both. I need to know if these really are child friendly or if I should attempt to alter the schedule (SCARY!!)

These are the ones I'm wondering about:
Living with the Land (all about plants?? on a boat, am I right?)
Journey into your Imagination
The Circle of life (I know its about conservation, I don't think my two year old cares about conservation quite yet)
Spaceship Earth (16 minutes long)
See the O' Canada film
See the American Adventure film

How do you think a kiddo would fare during those attractions?

I saw your title and thought I would check out your PTR and then when I saw you are studying to be a speech/language pathologist I just had to join. My DS10 sees a speech/language pathologist, along with OT and PT. All fields just have the greatest people, so I had to join.

Congratulations on passing your exam!:cheer2:

Looks like you have a great plan so far. I like your idea of adding the park hopper. I love to park hop. Even though we now live close to the parks, we will still jump around. I don't think the parks will be too busy. My one recommendation is to take your time, pick out the rides you really want to go on. Hey, any you miss you can always plan another trip.

Use FP's!!! They really come in handy. Also, you may want to plan breaks to go back to the room for a nap. Glad you added Askerhaus. I haven't been, I only have a prince, no princesses. But I have read a several TR's and everyone has just loved it.

I am placing my responses about the rides within your post.

These are the ones I'm wondering about:
Living with the Land (all about plants?? on a boat, am I right?)If the line is short, I recommend this ride. There are tanks of fish and alligators (or may be crocodiles). Also, the vegetables grown are really cool.
Journey into your ImaginationThis is one of my favorite rides. I think it is really cute. There are some surprises and again, normally not a long line.
The Circle of life (I know its about conservation, I don't think my two year old cares about conservation quite yet)Sorry, I haven't done this one.
Spaceship Earth (16 minutes long)Highly recommend. Your daughter will enjoy the interaction you do on the computer screen at the end of the ride. Make sure to stop and email it to your home in the area where you get off. I also recommend you take a picture of the screen inside the vehicle. The last couple of times we have tried to send the email home, we haven't gotten them. :sad2: Don't do first. Most people walk in to the park and get in line for this, making the line really long. We normally end up doing it on our way out of the park, but remember Future World closes all rides before World Showcase closes.
See the O' Canada filmWe just did this in January and it was great! Highly recommend.
See the American Adventure filmWe haven't done this one yet.

How do you think a kiddo would fare during those attractions?

Oops, sorry for the double post, but have you pre-ordered the photopass CD? I would think you would want lots of pics and I highly recommend it. You can actually order it after you get back if you want to wait to see how many pics you end having them take. Just don't upload your pics until your pre-order the CD. It will save you $25.

To be brutally honest my girls only weathered well through two of these attractions:

Living with the Land - lots of plants, bananas (which they recognize), etc. It was air conditioned which I think was half of it...:lmao:

Spaceship Earth - warning: if your daughter doesn't like being in the dark she may not like this. I only mention this because we went with another family in 2006 and their 5 year old cried through the second half. My girls like it though. It's a fairly mild ride and really you have to go in the giant golf ball right? My girls ask to ride it so I think it's pretty safe with the above in mind.

The others they couldn't care less about.

Thank you for joining! :goodvibes:
I do love speech and I'm thisclose to being finished with my Master's. I'm in an internship right now where I'm also working in close proximity with OTs and PTs and they do great work as well.

Thanks for your input! My DD isn't afraid of the dark (yet!??) so we'd probably be okay doing that. I think we'll pick and choose from that list and not do everything. Luckily Epcot is our first stop so maybe it won't be too boring since she won't have been into MK yet :lmao:

Congratulations!!

Circle of Life has Timon and Puumba from Lion King...she may get a kick out of that.

Journey into Imagination is bright and visually interesting. It would probably keep her attention.

I LOVE Living with the Land, but not sure how a 2.5 year old would enjoy it. It is very interesting and there are pumpkins, bananas and lemons which she may recognize.

Spaceship Earth is cool, but may be a bit over her head. I have not seen the newly rehabbed version.

Epcot IS fun for kids and I'm glad you are taking her. My boys LOVE it!:thumbsup2

Love the backpack. Wish things like that were around when my kiddo was that little.

hope you dont mind me jumping in here, I just found your PTR and thought it was great! Your DD is adorable and the minnie "backpack" is perfect, I think she would be fine on Imagination, Spaceship pEarth and The Land rides... they all have a lot of fun things to look at, but I agree about the dark on SE.
The princess lunch at Epcot looks perfect for you all!
The shirts are all great, you can get away with matching things at WDW thats for sure, in Dec I went with DF's ffamily and all 9 of us had matching shirts lol!:rotfl2:
