WDW virgins, we're outta here! Coming soon: a trip report!

Still reading. I hope that you find my comments helpful however everyone is different.

Looks like you have Fantasyland attractions scattered throughout the day. Last year we were able to do everything in Fantasyland before 10am. You may accomplish a lot more than you think there. A lot of folks rush to Splash Mountain, BTMR, etc at park opening so Fantasyland is vacant at rope drop. Toontown opens about an hour after normal park opening so you may have to play it by ear for the train. If you are looking to get some pics with Mickey and the princesses we had little to no wait when we went to Mickey's Toontown Fair right as Toontown opened. I have gone later in the day and waited 2.5 hours to get pics with the princesses in the off season. Toontown is cute though and DD will probably like exploring Minnie and Mickey's place. Push the buttons in Minnie's house. Cute things happen.

I most definitely find your tips helpful. I've been loosely going by the UGs schedule for touring with small children, though I don't know why they don't have you hit all of Fantasyland first thing in the AM.

I really am starting to wonder how well my schedule is going to work. I need to look at some more TRs of people with little ones like mine.

I think your schedules are very conservative. You shouldn't have any problems sticking to them. There are lots of TR's with little ones out there. It's interesting to see other perspectives.

This will be my youngest's (DD3) fourth trip to the world. She asks me every day if we are going to see sissy's castle. Is sounds more like casow though.
Molly is going to have a ball! I'm looking forward to your trip report. It will be just the Disney fix I need before my trip in May. :goodvibes

Today our church had the children's library Grand Re-Opening. It's been closed for a while, a year or two so they can redecorate and re-organize etc. Anyway we borrowed Peter Pan from the video library because Molly has only seen it once and we want her to know what's going on during the Peter Pan ride. She thoroughly enjoyed it this evening though it might have been a little intense.

PS: Ignore the fact that I sound like a complete dork :-P

I'm still here-just super busy preparing for our trip, birthdays, and job interviews. The picture of Molly in the castle is cute. Did you change your itinerary?

Yeah I did, I think for the most part the actual schedule of activities can stay the same, though I'm going to look over it again. I know how busy goes, thanks for sticking with me!

WOW! You're under the two week mark now. I would be going crazy with excitement. Does Molly understand where she is going?

The video of Molly is very cute! She's totally into it!

Only 2 weeks left....are you about to burst??

Sorry, had computers problems. I'm still here. Molly in the tent was just adorable. Wow, not long now until your trip.

I am excited, but not as excited as I suppose I could be for two reasons: 1) I've never been so I don't know what its like, so its hard to be as excited as a vet, ya know? 2) I am so stinking busy with my internship and school that I don't have much time to focus on it. I keep thinking I need to start packing and I have some things set aside but not packed.

Molly understands where she's going as much as she can. Every time we watch a Disney movie and they show the castle at the beginning she jumps up and yells "we're going there!!" She also comes up to me when I'm on my laptop and asks to look at Disney pictures because she's been looking at trip reports with me. She also knows she'll get to meet characters because we've told her that so many times so when she sees someone in the TR pictures she asks if she'll get to meet them too.

I'm so ready for a break, I'm excited about the Disney part but as a Disney virgin I'm more excited about the break from all my other stuff!

I know! I'm excited! Thanks for sticking with me!

It was 75 degrees today, and its going to be in the mid-80s for the next couple of day, I think it'll be good practice for Orlando weather. It'll be more humid there I'm sure but at least I'll get to adapt to warm weather a little before we go :-)

This weekend I'm going to finalize my daily plans.

Here is a question. I've got the UG daily schedules which has a lot of back and forth across the park. I've arranged our trip around the UG's best part days so would it be reasonable to just hit one area at a time in MK, like start in Fantasyland and then to Toon Town or whatever rather than following the UG's plan and going back and forth?

I would not jump around to different areas, except for one person run over for fastpasses and then meeting somewhere, but as first timers and only three of you there, I don't know that I would do that. You will both want to see Molly's expressions as she sees different things. I actually thought I was going to tear up reading about Molly and her excitement at seeing the castle on the video. She is going to be so excited.

Just take your time and don't plan too much. You might surprise yourselves and do more than you plan. We have spent two full weeks on different trips and missed so much because we went commando. Just relax and take it all in. Get lots of photos! We might just bump into you. My DH is going to DC for a month, so I figure me and the kiddo will head over to WDW once or twice.

I agree with PP. I wouldn't bounce across the park either. Relax and take everything in. Sometimes DH or I will separate to get fastpasses and we meet up at another attraction but only if it's really crowded. Fastpasses go fast on crowded days.

Can anyone compared TGM's best days to UGs best days? I'm wondering if they are the same, but I sure don't want to pay $22 just to look at that.

I packed a bit last night. All of our Disney shirts are packed and our swimsuits, the things we won't need in the next 12 days. I need to start a list of all the random things I need to pack that I think of but I'm not near at that point in time. I should totally be in bed, and I'm sleepy, but I'm on DIS instead!

Tell me about Mousekeeping please :goodvibes:

Will we have the same person cleaning our room all week?
Will there be just one person at a time?
If its the same person should we tip a little each day or give them all of their tip at the beginning of the week?
How much should we tip/day at All Star Movies?

Hi there! I usually tip $1 per person each day but only if my room is clean and neat, towels are replaced, etc. I don't get hung up on the towel animal thing like some do. However I have never experienced a trip where my girls didn't receive at least one. You probably will not have the same person each day of your stay. If you check out my PTR, I made some cute envelopes that say "Thanks" with characters on them so that Mousekeeping knows that we are acknowledging their efforts-I know, I'm a complete dork. I have left the money under the service placard before also.

Thank you for the info, I'm trying to figure out how much to allot for that. I found a few cute envelopes to print though I'm looking for more!

What order would you put these activities in?

Hi there! As far as the list I don't really know what you have already picked up so it's hard to add anything. My brother lives in Orlando and talking with him yesterday a.m. his allergies are killing him right now because everything is starting to bloom. If you have allergies or Molly has allergies you may want to bring some Benadryl or something along those lines. Personally the pediatrician suggested I give some to the girls before our flight and it worked nicely.

As far as the order of attractions I'll have to work on that.
