I just thought I'd post this since the subject was quite a "hot" one the week I left for WDW.

We just got home lastnight.

For most of the trip we either walked to Epcot or MGM or took the boats. But we did use the Buses from the Boardwalk over to the Magic Kingdom. We did EE one day and then the regular opening on another.

On the EE morning we were down at the bus stop at 7:30 and there were quite alot of people. The bus arrived and needless to say we did not get on. The Cast Member who was there said that another bus would be by in about 8 minutes. However, as soon as the full bus pulled out another empyt one pulled up right behind him. We all got on but the people at the other 2 resorts were not happy. We just made the Early Opening time.

On the normal opening day we arrived around 8:15 and had no problem at all getting on the first bus. We arrived well before 9 AM

I'm posting this because I was quite concerned with I left due to all the bad experiences people were having with the transportation and was somewhat worried. So hopefully this will put some minds at ease and your experience will be as positive as ours was.

Thank you for posting this. It's one thing for me to explain how the system works, but it's another thing for someone to say that it did work out for them. :)

Thanks for the up-date!!:D

I had never had a problem but all these posts were getting me worried, maybe it was just a glich everyone experienced.

that is really good news!
I for one have been constantly disappointed at the poor bus service offered from Boardwalk to MK.
Hopefully this is now a norm rather than the exception.
You said there was a CM there on duty?? Was this a bus driver you spoke to before he left or perhaps a CM on duty at the bus stop to call on the radio to dispatch additional buses?
Tell me more good things Please

The sole purpose of the Greeter position is to write down when a bus comes in, and if it leaves anyone behind. They are not dispatchers, and do not have any control as to when another bus shows up.

As Tyler said, the CM at the bus stop was not a dispatcher. He just kept notes. But he did have some sort of a time table and was able to tell me when the next bus was.

As I said earlier; I never had a real problem at the BW with the Buses.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the glitches are gone! :)
