WDW to port

We are staying in WDW before our cruise and are using the Disney transfer to get to the port. My question is, when will I get my port arrival time? When I check in online?

Thanks

That I don't know. We always book privately because we are a family of 5 and it's cheaper.

How do I know what time the bus will pick us up from our resort?

DCL transfer busses depart between 11:30-12:30, depending on how many resorts your particular bus is making. Maximum number of stops is 3.

You will get a letter in your room, or a checkin, detailing the particuars, but, basically, you will leave your checked bags near the door (inside) of your room with DCL luggage tags on them. DCL trasport will pick them up between 8:00-8:30. They are transported by truck. You will be told what time the DCL bus will be at your resort (and where) for pickup.

If you are using DCL transfers, best way to do it in my opinion even though there are cheeper options, no need for a port arrival time. Just choose a late one cause by the time your bus will get you to the port from WDW will be when they let you board without numbers. We always get there around 1 with DCL transfers.

This is not entirely correct. Yes, you will be allowed into the terminal at whatever time the DCL bus arrives from WDW and allowed to check-in. But your boarding number is tied to the PAT you select at online check-in. While they may be doing "open boarding" by the time you are through check-in, if not you will have to wait in the terminal for either your boarding number or the call for open-boarding.

So what time do you suggest I request?

Thanks!

Pick the latest. Open boarding will be going on when you get there. Do not stress over this. I have never been at PC when using DCL transfers when it was not open boarding.

We are a group of 6. Who did you use? Thanks!

I used Sunshine and was very pleased. Whether or not it's cheaper depends on which vehicle you choose, but for us, the stretch limo is about the same price and is such a treat! If you want to get there earlier, you have that option. Many like DCL transfers, but we had already eaten and were swimming by the time they arrived. It is a matter of personal preference, though.

We always use DCL transfers. We know we can get it cheeper but at least 3 of our cruises we overheard that people were left behind because their private transportation had issues and the shipping did not wait. They did wait for the people coming from MCO who had a delayed flight using DCL. That's why we use them. If something, god forbid, happens to the bus or its delayed they will wait a reasonable amount of time or they have to catch me up to the ship. Same reason I will not do private tours on port. My DCL tour is late. Ship waits. If my private tour is late I watch the ship sail without me.
