Hi All ~ WDW ticket prices going up Aug 8, good dollar, buy now. We bought 10 day hoppers with plusses that don't expire from Undercover because the dollar is so good, plus ticket prices will only go up. 10 days with plusses will last us 3 or 4 trips!

Consider it!

Do we know how much tickets usually go up by in price?? Is it worth buying early? Or is it just a couple of dollars?

This is what the Orlando Sentinel is reporting:
The price of magic goes up this weekend at Walt Disney World, where the basic adult ticket is climbing 6 percent to a record $71.

Disney on Friday announced a whole range of new ticket prices that take effect Sunday. The price changes also affect the discount packages that still can push the per-day cost below $23 for adults who want to commit to as much as a 10-day run at Disney's four theme parks.

But almost all the prices are going up. And for the second year in a row, Disney is raising its prices in August rather than in December or January, when theme parks historically announced price increases.

An adult, one-day, one-park pass that now costs $67 will go up to $71. Price increases of 3 percent to 6 percent were tacked onto most of Disney's "Magic Your Way" tickets and annual passes.

Also:
Mousesavers is reporting that the 7 day park hopper (expiring) will increase from $264.12 to $281.16.
There are a few threads about it on the Theme Park Attractions board.
I just booked 9 tickets tonight for our Nov. trip with Undercovertourist.

I've already booked my trip from Disney (MYW package) and paid the $200 deposit. If prices go up like they're expected to this weekend, will I have to pay more for my remaining balance? or is the price set?

I bought 6 days MYW tickets with my package. When I arrive (Aug 25th) I was considering adding on 1 or 2 days and the water park option. Does anyone know how this will work?

Does anyone lave a link to July's MouseSaver's newsletter? I deleted mine as we don't have any plans for the near future to go to WDW but now that the price is increasing I would seriously consider buying some tickets even if we don't plan on going down for a while.Could someone please PM me with the link....thanks so much in advance!

Oops! An update....I just checked my email and I have a Mousesavers Hot Deal update with the link.....thank anyway!

Anyone know if annual pass prices are going up too?

If i play my cards right (with DH) I might get 4 weeks over the next 1 1/2yr. 2 weeks 2007- 2 weeks late 2008:cool1:

I'm not exactly sure what the answer to your question is.

I just spent at least 40 minutes on the phone with WDTC because I also wanted to make an addition after my arrival on Aug.25. Iwas planning to add the water park option to my tickets(included in package) and some old passes. The CM that I spoke with told me they were not changing the passes as of today ( I'm confused on that one because I have read it in a number of different places that today was the day). After checking with guest services I had the water park option added on to 3 adult and 1 child pass for $213.04. I bought the 1 day pass to get the free dining so we each will get 2 days water park admission.

BTW, I tried calling 5 different times yesterday and each time I was told the computer was down for updates. So that indicates to me that they are making changes.:confused3

The new AP price is $471.12 ... I think that's an increase of $14-$15. I meant to order one yesterday but I completely forgot until it was too late.

Here's a link to the other ticket prices

Prices involving 10 day non-expiring tickets jumped somewhat more than all the other pricing combinations.

Non-expiring day #10 now costs about USD 30. while previously it cost USD 7.

(The non-expiring option for 10 day tickets, itemized separately, is now USD 192., up from USD 165.)

So far I'm told that your booked package won't have a price change while you finish the payments. But if you modify it you may be subjected to a price increase.

Disney Stores are holding the old prices through August 8. They and others will be selling off leftover pre-printed pre-August 5 tickets. Due to a small idiosyncrasy, if you upgrade a ticket purchased at a discount or manufactured during an earlier price period prior to any usage of that ticket, you may be credited with less than the current gate price depending on how much Disney received for that ticket.

I bought my tickets knowing that the price will only go up. Even if we don't go to WDW until 2009, we have our tickets in hand and paid for.

I also bought the $86 Universal tickets figuring we will spend about half a week there. S
