WDW through an 8-month-old’s eyes &10m &13m &16m...New 10/30!

Just to update, I called Cypress Pointe and it looks like they have FULL CRIBS and HIGH CHAIRS! Free for guests, and he didn't seem concerned about them running out!! WOOOHOOO!

SO I'll just throw in some crib sheets and we'll be good to go! Yay!

Even better! How nice that they have full size. I wasn't thrilled with the high chairs bonnet creek had because they were the ones without trays like restaurants have. Hopefully the ones at cypress pointe will be more like real high chairs. That makes traveling with a baby so much less stressful when you can make your environment more like home.

Finding the balance between work life and home life is a delicate thing for a Mom. I only took six weeks off with Xander and hated the day I went back to work. Back then, we needed my income, so I did not have a choice. Even though I just started a temporary job for my old employer, I dislike being away from them so much that I may not work again when this project is over. Good for you for working your booty off three days a week to spend the other four with Aria.

I love Aria’s Minnie costume. I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while that I think it is funny that you guess what Andrew will eat. How often are you right? If you remember, you should add in the trip report whether or not your pre-trip report guesses were correct. Crap rarely orders what I think he will, but I almost always stick to what I think I will order. Cypress Pointe looks lovely. A three bedroom condo for three people is a room a person. Glad they have full cribs there. I cannot wait to read about it. You will have a great time with all of that space.

Yeah I have no idea what sort of high chairs they will have but we will make due. We also have an attachment for the stroller seat to attach to a table, so we may just use that!

I wish the 3 day a week thing could be forever. With my job I have to work at least 4 to get benefits, once my FMLA 12 weeks is used up (January).

Hahahah Yes Andrew is pretty predictable! I love the idea of going back and seeing how my predictions play out! I better not look at them befor ethe trip otherwise I might entice him to get what I assumed he would...

Lol it was the same price to get a 3br vs a 2 or 1! So I went big! Lol. The room with the hot tub in the middle is the extra bedroom we would not have gotten if we'd only gotten a 2br so I wanted that. I hope I dont hate being offsite too much! But the space will be wonderful!!

Have I lost my readers?! I hope everyone has just been busy, the summer is certainly the busiest time of year for us!

I have great news - Southwest came out with the 50,000 point offer (enough for FOUR round trip plane tickets just about - IE two trips to Disney LOL). I got a CC for DH and so I'm hoping to go at least once again next year, either for my birthday again (late sep/early Oct) or for the F&G show. Or both. LOL.

Also, as I am sure you are all aware, F&W info came out *finally*. We won't be participating in any of the extras EXCEPT MAYBE the 3D Disney's Dessert Discovery. It's happening on October 12th, which we have an ADR for Artist Point this evening. I might try to get that earlier. This was the other night I was consiering using Kid's Nite Out since Artist Point is so quiet inside. PLus it's an open day (possibly DHS in the morning). I need to talk to DH to see if he is interested (probably not, ugh) and decide from there. Thoughts?

Other than that, we will just be enjoying the F&W booths during our time at EPCOT. So I am going to post all of the Marketplace Offerings for you to see, and I will highlight the items I am most excited about - or that I think DH will enjoy (LOL- kmedina!)

Day 5 – Monday, October 8th

After our first night in the condo, we will have the option of a leisurely morning! Depending on how we are feeling, we might spend it at the pool, or may just decide to go to MK. At any rate, we have NO PLANS until 1:30, when we need to be at the MK Barber Shop for Aria’s first haircut!! I specifically made it mid-trip vs. on our first day because…I’m sort of afraid of hating the haircut and then having every single WDW picture with her new hair do! LOL! I’m sure it will be fine (probably just a snip anyway, it’s really not very long LOL). We may end up going to MK mid-morning, and eating CS for lunch. I’m thinking CHH so DH can get a lobster roll! I might get the chili, or chicken nuggets…or maybe a salad depending on how healthy I’m feeling.

My order from ETSY finally arrived, and it is what we will be wearing this day, because tonight is MNSSHP!! Aria will be wearing her Belle tutu dress, and DH and I will be wearing yellow shirts – his has the beast on it and mine has Belle. First off, we have ADR’s at 1900 Park Fare, though! We will be having dinner at 5PM, probably just taking the ferry there and back!

So this is a new-to-us restaurant, and I am not one that has been wowed by the GF, but from what I’ve read the character interaction is fantastic here. So Aria I HOPE will enjoy herself!
Photo package looks cute, we might buy it unless we can put it on our photopass cd?

1900-park-fare-dining-room-2.jpg

I have a really pretty floral dress I’d like Aria to wear for this meal, and then she’ll change back into her Belle outfit afterwards!

So after dinner we will head back to the MK, just in time for MNSSHP to start up! I have two main goals: See the parade, and see the fireworks (which I’ve seen from afar, and saw the DL version a couple years ago). We have never done MNSSHP, only MVMCP, which at the time we thought was a bit of a waste but we also just used the time to ride rides vs. doing any of the party specific things. I’d like to do a bit of party merchandise shopping, and other than that I’m looking for party specifics such as timing and not seeing too much helpful info!

IMG_8770.JPG

This is apparently a popular photo op and I can see why! So cute! I’d love to get this picture – tips?
IMG_8908.JPG

This is a villans show – I’d like to do this sort of thing during the party –see the shows, parades, etc. We might ride a couple rides if we happen upon them, but they aren’t a priority
IMG_8968.JPG

I have heard that its imperative to get in line like 30+ minutes before the party starts in order to get a picture with the 7 Dwarves, but I think we’ll skip that unless I REALLY SHOULD DO IT? IDK.

And I’d love to see Mickey & Minnie and do the other character greets that we happen upon, assuming Aria is good with the characters LOL

I really don’t know how Aria will handle the late nights. Currently she goes to bed by 7:30. We have kept her up late ONCE and that was when we were buying the Expedition, and she actually did really great. I think she will actually do fine, especially with so much to watch and see, but I just don’t know. I do plan to bring her PJ’s though and change her into them by 7:30 or so, and maybe she’ll just sleep in the stroller for the late night activities, and the headphones will be helpful in blocking out noise. That is what I hope anyway!

So the day started out pretty lazy but ends with a very fun evening! Up next…DH’s FAVORITE RESTAURANT!

You haven't lost me! I'm still here. I've just been busy. I can't believe summer is over in a month.

I think I'm going to steal your idea of copying and pasting the menu for my PTR. I will give you a shoutout LOL.

I can't wait for MNSSHP!

It looks like you have a good game plan for MNSSHP! Aria will look so adorable in her little Belle costume. :goodvibes I think you are on the right track with bringing the pj's and letting her sleep in the stroller. She is still pretty young so you hopefully won't have any problems with that. As we learned in DL, even when ridiculously tired, the stroller doesn't seem to put Paxton to sleep anymore, so we decided to skip the party this time. I'm hoping he will be old enough next year to give it a try staying up late, at least through the first parade and fireworks.

Hi There! I will definitely be following closely! I had my son on 2/3/12 and I will be traveling to WDW 11/24-11/29 with my DH, DSD6 and my son. He will almost be 10 months at the time. :)

It will be my first trip as a Mommy, I know my Step-Daughter will have a blast and I hope the trip with the baby will go smoothly :)

I am here still following. I am just bad about posting and I get behind here and there...:) I love the Minnie dress too cute.

I'm still here too!

I think that your off-site condo looks really nice! I think I need to start branching out and checking out off site accommodations. Now that they've reduced EMH, and we never do the dining plan, I'm not seeing many reasons to continue to stay on-site.

I think you have a good plan for MNSSHP. I would skip the 7 dwarfs, unless you are a HUGE snow white fan. It just eats up so much of the evening, when you could be enjoying other things.

I hear you about the late nights, its tough to predict how kids will do. We're taking Everett this year, and my only goal is to make it to the fireworks, anything else is gravy. I'd plan on seeing the first parade, just in case you can't make it for the long haul.

Day 5 sounds great! I too am not impressed by GF. I hate all the pure white. I feel like I can't touch anything in there lol! MNSSHP is way better than MVMCP. We've been to both. We got Cindy's carriage pic. Get in line early for it. We got in line for it well after the party started and waited a good hour for the pic but it was totally worth it. I didn't bother with the seven dwarfs. The only things party related we did was trick or treat, watch the parade, villain show and fire works. All are wonderful! I really do love that party and the parade is one of the best I have ever seen at MK. You're going to have so much fun!

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare. Mom and I went for breakfast while DH and dad went on the behind the scenes tour.

We also loved the MNSSHP. We tried to get a picture with the carriage, but it rained basically our entire party. Although the park was basically empty, it was a horrible thunderstorm so we stayed soaked, but still had a great time. I can't wait to go back and do the party again.

Great party plans! :cool1: I think you have the right idea, especially with a wee one. :thumbsup2 Planning to hit the party specific things is a great idea.

You will like 1900 park fare! The character interactions are good and I liked the breakfast food when I went last year. Great choice!

Hi! I just found this ptr and it took me forever to catch up but I finally am caught up!!! Although I must admit I only read all of your posts not everyone's comments so if this has already been asked I'm sorry!!! What is the Facebook clothing exchange group that you mentioned a few posts back? I'm having our first...a little girl...in October. We are headed to wdw on NEw Years Eve...I'm nervous because she will be so young but decided if we end up being coped up
In the hotel for 5days it will still be better than being coped up at our apartment!!! Lol!!!
Loving your report...can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

Ps...if you really want a pic with the 7 dwarfs...I would recommend being in line between 6 and 6:15...we got in line at 6:30 and it took us until 7:30 until we were getting pics...it was a very very long wait. This was with the dwarfs coming out early around 6:50...good luck!!

I can't wait for MNSSHP!

Yay I will check out your PTR soon! I can't wait either. Summer has been SO SO busy! It's FLYING by! Less than 2 months now, it's amazing.

Hahha we will see how she does. Worst comes to worse we will leave the party. Not a HUGE deal, I mean it would suck to put the tickets to waste, but it's not the end of the world of course!

Honestly I don't think I've fully wrapped my head around being offsite. I've never done it before, and starting out at BLT means that my head still pictures us there the whole time - LOL The space WILL be nice though. I keep picturing that jacuzzi in the master BR and I'm pretty excited about that! hahaha. We also always rent a car, so that will be no different, just the drive will be a bit longer to the parks. TY I will skip the 7 Dwarves, Maybe when Aria is older...

LOL I'm not impressed by the GF at ALL! I love the theming of the other deluxe's so much more. I've also had so so experiences at their restaurants. Citricos was one of our LEAST favorite restaurants EVER. Though I should givei t another try at some point. Narcoossees was OK. they have so many restaurants though, that I feel like I need to try them all! LOL

Oh so glad you had a great 1900 Park Fare experience! I'm excited about the character interaction! LOL sorry to hear about the thunderstorms!! Glad you still had a great time. I def need to be reminded to pack the rain cover for the stroller!

Great party plans! :cool1: I think you have the right idea, especially with a wee one. :thumbsup2 Planning to hit the party specific things is a great idea.

You will like 1900 park fare! The character interactions are good and I liked the breakfast food when I went last year. Great choice!

Thanks!! Looks like breakfast might have been the way to go, but we are doing an early dinner. I used to HATE buffets, but now with DH and I being so on the opposite spectrum for food likes and dislikes, buffets are a good way to get us both something to eat.

HI! Thanks so much for coming over and posting!! I'm glad I put in those chapter links, hope I didn't miss one or there was a broken link or anything?

CONGRATS!! That's so wonderful!! Love little girls, we were so excited to find out we were having one! Your trip is going to be AMAZING! So she'll be about 2.5-3 months old? You might want to look into Kids Nite Out for a night during your trip, though hopefully she'll just sleep great in the stroller!

I'm actually a part of 2 Facebook clothing swap groups. The first started out as a Wittlebee Box Exchange Group - Wittlebee is a monthly kids clothing box service and it is SO SO Fun! I get 1-2 boxes each month, and change up the size (I've gotten 1 18m size one for next summer LOL, plus a ton of 6-12M and 12M boxes). The group started out to exchange/trade items from the boxes that were duplicates or you didn't like. And it's only open to Wittlebee members (if you're interested in checking Wittlebee out, I can give you a referral link with $10 off your first box - it's ususally $39.99/month). Then the 2nd one is more open BUT most clothes are 18m+ so Aria has quite the wardrobe gonig up to 3T (i've stopped at that size HAHAH). I'm mainly buying right now since I don't have much to trade in that size. The Wittlebee group seems better for the smaller sizes though...PM me if you want more info!

I agree. 2 years ago we dressed as the 7 dwarfs, so we HAD to get a picture taken with them. I got in line at 6:10 and we were the 10th family in line.

Just a name to tuck away in case Cypress Point does run out of cribs is A Baby's Best Friend. http://www.abbf.com/

We had a pack n play for youngest DS and he wouldn't sleep for anything. After day 2 of little sleep, I called them and they delivered a full size crib later that day.

Thank you! I have looked into that and will DEFINITELY call if we don't get a crib through the resort. I'm so glad it'll be a full size crib though either way. She naps in her pack n play currently, and has slept fine in it before, but she is getting SO BIG! I don't know how long she'll be able to fit comfortably in it!

So a little Disney update. Did I tell you all that DH loved the Belle tutu dress so much that he said we should get another one?? The Etsy lady who makes them also makes Snow White, Ariel, Tinkerbelle, and could basically make any color combo. He wanted the Tinkerbelle one, and I had her add a little glitter tulle to it. It is AWESOME, I think I like it better than Belle! I just need to find some wings that would fit/be comfy for Aria.

Also wanted to share this Wittlebee outfit. If it still fits, Aria will wear this one of the days at AK!

So the last week or so has been SUPER BUSY!! The weekend before last I made a bow/headband holder for Aria, we went to a backyard wedding on Saturday, and Sunday some old friends of DH's came over and we went to the zoo in Providence and then had dinner with them.

Aria also started getting on all fours and now she inchworms along (not quite crawling, but the dogs are definitely in trouble now as she LOVES them and can now get to them!)

AND She can pull herself to standing. We are in TROUBLE. She also turned 6 months old! (The cats are in for it too LOL but she loves the dogs more)

She took her first trip in a grocery cart that weekend as well:

Then daycare was closed last week, so I had a nice 6-day vacation and 1-day week. My parents came down Wednesday-Monday (yesterday) and watched Aria on Thursday so I could go to work that day (hence my Day 5 post! because I was oh-so-productive during my 1-day week LOL). Then over the weekend DH was in a wedding, so we had the rehearsal dinner and then wedding Friday & Saturday, another reason for my parent's visit. Friday night was horrible - the rehearsal & wedding were in Salem, MA and it took us 3 HOURS to get there (it should be 50min away). We drove home that night. Saturday we were so tired, but had to head back to Salem around noon so DH could do his wedding festivities. We had a hotel room that night, and had our first night away from Aria. (No kids allowed to the wedding). :sad2: It was okay. We have NO PICTURES of us from the wedding that I know of, but I took this picture while getting ready in the room by myself.

That is my favorite dress I ordered from Zulily, so I'm sure it will make an appearance during our trip LOL.

Sunday night we took my parents out to dinner to a vegan/gluten free restaurant because my mom wanted to be SUPER difficult and go vegan on top of being gluten free. LOL. SO it was easier to take them out!

Yesterday they left and Aria and I vegged out at the house, which was lovely. She so nicely slept until 7:40 (over 12 hours), giving me a chance to sleep in. And now...I'm back at work.

Thanks for tuning in to my quick summary of what we've been up to! Off to work on Day 6!

Aria doesn't look so sure about that grocery cart LOL. She's adorable. And wow, that's a big cat!

Speaking of Aria, have you been watching PLL? LOL

No kids allowed at the wedding? Wha?
