WDW through an 8-month-old’s eyes &10m &13m &16m...New 10/30!

Happy anniversary. The parade looks like a lot of fun. Yay for getting on her first ride. I agree with getting a kid's nite out babysitter. We will get one for sure on our next WDW trip.

Happy belated anniversary!

The plans for your MK/birthday day look great! I think I read here on the DIS that they no longer hide the paintbrushes on Tom Sawyer Island, but I could be wrong.

And yes, I totally plan out what I'm going to eat when at Disney! I sometimes change my mind once I get there, but I'm constantly on the AllEars menus ahead of time checking out the different dishes.

It WAS 6/26! I got a CP package!! I will make an update with it! :goodvibes

Hmm and how old is Connor now? I just hope Aria doesn't change by 8m since that's when we'll be at Disney first. She seems to LOVE being in a high chair with some toys, so I thought that combined with snacking on some puree or puffs or something should keep her occupied during a meal? IDK.

:yay:

Connor just turned one. The trip was for his birthday. He was 10.5 almost 11 months before he had his first rough meal. Hopefully, everything goes fine with Aria.

Just got a little bit behind, but enjoying all the updates. Very cute baby wardrobe for Aria! In 2010, we did the CP package at Garden Grill also. Worked out well! Happy belated anniversary and hope you're having a good 4th of July!

:rotfl: Yeah it took me a long time to make that decision because my weight has fluctuated up and down a ton ever since Alex was born. But I'm slowly collecting new things. It's funny how different your body shape is after having a baby.

Well poo! I wish we could overlap a little too but I really want to be there for Alex's Birthday and we don't have enough money to add any more days. I didn't want a really long trip this time either based on what happened last time. Maybe next time! And thanks about my BFF's DH. I think he will be ok but it's been a rough few months for them since they found out. He's currently on the transplant list so I'm praying he gets a new kidney soon but I know there are a ton of people on that list :sad2:

haha okies. It will be there :goodvibes

Yeah I find myself looking for totally different style clothes now. Generally baggy in the tummy region is good LOL.

Yay for booking CP!!! I have to decide if we are going to do it or not. I'm not quite sure Alex will sit still for it and I need to look at the narrators. If it's someone I can't pass up while we're there I'm definitely doing it.

Sounds like you will have fun tomorrow! I love Clydesdales too. Bets horses ever. I just love seeing them all over Disney! That's funny that your friend is having a birthday party for her dog. Cute though!

That sucks about the Etsy people! I've only ordered off Etsy once and now I order directly through the company when I want/need something (it's stitcheroos that I talked about on my PTR). I would file a complaint with Etsy. Maybe they can light a fire under those people's booties! I have never heard of anyone fulfilling an order by when your trip is. Stitcheroos puts you in order of when the orders come in and gets it done that way. I've never had to wait more than a week and a half for any of my orders there.

I don't even know who the narrator is that night hahaha. I guess I just want to try it out and I'm pretty open to any narrator! IDK if Aria will sit for it either :goodvibes but guess we'll find out!

Yeah the Etsy ppl suck. What sucks even more is spending $150 (thankfully thru paypal) for her 1st Birthday outfit, some hair bows, and another disney outfit. that reminds me that I have to file a claim. I will definitely look into Stitcheroos next time!

Sorry to hear about the Etsy people. That's beat :( I had issues like that on Ebay a couple times.

Happy anniversary! Hope you have a great 4th of July!

:( Yeah totally sucks! Thanks! We had a GREAT day!

Happy anniversary. The parade looks like a lot of fun. Yay for getting on her first ride. I agree with getting a kid's nite out babysitter. We will get one for sure on our next WDW trip.

Yeah I think it'll be great -that way Aria will get to bed at a decent time too, and can stick with her schedule a bit better while allowing us to have a nice evening out! It's win-win! LOL

Thanks! Yeah that really stinks. I'm mad about that! I would love to find the paint brushes with or without the FP prize. It was just FUN!

I just love the menus on Allears! I'm there so often it is scary!

:yay:

Connor just turned one. The trip was for his birthday. He was 10.5 almost 11 months before he had his first rough meal. Hopefully, everything goes fine with Aria.

LOL Sorry for my lack of thought with that question. I KNEW you guys went to DL for Connor's 1st birthday, so I was just being a dolt!

Just got a little bit behind, but enjoying all the updates. Very cute baby wardrobe for Aria! In 2010, we did the CP package at Garden Grill also. Worked out well! Happy belated anniversary and hope you're having a good 4th of July!

Thanks for coming by - I keep getting behind on everyones TR's and PTR's but I'm trying to keep up! Ugh! Glad ot hear you liked the CP package with Garden Grill!! Thanks hope you also had a great 4th!

Okay so I'm going to pile on a couple updates with last weekend's festivities and then the 4th!!

As I mentioned before, last weekend we had quite a full one! Saturday we had friends over - 1 couple has a daughter just over a year old, and 1 couple has a daughter who is 6m old (1 month older than Aria). So it was fun having other kids over! We first went to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary - here are some pictures!

After the farm we all went back to our house - I had thought we would head outside and hang out in the pool, but apparently 95 degrees is too hot for everyone but Aria and me...:confused3

Sunday was our 5 year anniversary! We started it off with some fun buttermilk pancakes and espresso! Then since Aria was now 5 months old we thought we would try out some avocado as her first food! She seemed excited until the spoon got near her mouth and she just didn't know what to do with it. I think it was just too early and we have decided to stick with our original plan of really starting solids at 6 months.

After breakfast we headed to a butterfly "zoo" which was basically just a large tent with butterflies from all over the world. It was pretty neat though and Aria seemed to have fun!

After the butterflies we went to a winery (no pics) where we had to separate for the entirety of the tour/tasting (2 HOURS!) because Aria was being fussy and then wanted to nap so she did that in the car while we took turns staying with her (and eventually I fed her in the car while Andrew did the tasting). It was the first time we had to remove her from something, but we had been out all day long and did not expect this winery trip to be so darn involved!

On the way home we picked up take out from a really nice restaurant and had a quiet evening at home with a good meal that we didn't have to cook - works for me!

Up next...4th of July!

And to continue with personal updates...we had some more Disney training on July 4th!! We went to Bristol, RI for the longest running 4th of July parade! I think it was the 227th year! Aria had a fantastic time, though with the long drive there and finding a spot and waiting for the parade to start, she only saw the first 20 minutes or so before needing a nap. Thankfully she did fantastic - we put her in the stroller, layed it back, and put a SPF thin blanket over the canopy so she couldn't see, and withing 5 minutes she was fast asleep. She slept through cannons, guns, bands, etc. It was pretty funny - we kept checking to see if she was still asleep because we could NOT believe that she could possibly sleep through the noise but she never woke up. And as an aside, she slept through all the fireworks that were going off all over our neighborhood last night, too.

Anyway here are some pictures from our 4th of July - first in the morning at our house, then in Bristol!

We stopped by my coworkers house to say hi before heading to the parade!

After the parade we went to the carnival which was pretty disappointing because the ONLY ride that Aria was allowed on was the ferris wheel. So we did that! Aria's first ride!!

And because we had an extra ticket bc the ticket lady said Aria would need one too, but the ferris wheel guys said she didn't LOL, DH rode this lovely ride -

She did great! Then we headed home, and spent the afternoon in the pool cooling off. Aria seems to love the water more and more!!

So that's it for this week! Friday (tomorrow!) we head to Cape Cod for the week and depending on how good of a time I am having I will either be on the DIS or not LOL.

Day 3!! I’m so looking forward to this day too. Though I suppose I am looking forward to EVERY single day! LOL

First things first, we will head to the monorail bright and early! We have a breakfast scheduled at Kona! Yum!! I have heard WAY too many wonderful things about the tonga toast not to finally try it out myself. I love anything banana, so I’m sure it’ll be amazing. If I didn’t get that, I’d probably go for the macadamia pineapple pancakes, which sound amazing too. If I can, I will get the breakfast potatoes with my tonga toast, because breakfast potatoes are just about my FAVORITE thing to eat, EVER. Yum.

kona2.jpg

Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with Strawberry Compote and your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage $12.99

P1010426.JPG

DH will probably have the Big Kahuna because he always orders so much LOL, but maybe if he’s still full from the night before he would also enjoy The Somoan

Big Kahuna - French toast, Pancakes topped with Pineapple sauce and Macadamia Nut Butter, eggs, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage $11.99

The Somoan - poached eggs with Hollandaise served over smoked pulled pork hash $9.99

We will share a Kona French Press and I’m sure I’ll get some of the Lilikoi juice –this is the same as the Boma juice right?

Anyway after this I have plans to walk to the TTC (need to print a map for this excursion) and take the monorail over to EPCOT. Our ADR was for 7:45 so I’m hoping to get to EPCOT right before opening (we are fast breakfast eaters, this should not be a problem!).

So we will spend the morning in Future World – want to ride Soarin’ – but we might just grab a FP for later on and move on to Nemo. Test Track will be closed, so there aren’t that many things we can’t just do as a family, though DH will probably ride Mission SPACE at some point. This will be a pretty easy morning, riding Nemo, Figment, Spaceship Earth, and Living with the Land (which we LOVE LOL). Whenever we are done in this part we will start making our way into the WS as we have a lunch ADR at the Biergarten!

64940_589105007031_3421822_n.jpg

Won’t be able to do this this year, they no longer have it! It was fun watching DH up there putting diapers on!!

67437_589263259891_8165997_a.jpg

I have been going back and forth with this restaurant for quite some time, but have finally decided to just go for it and suck it up if there isn’t much to eat. At least I’ll get a good glass of Riesling and DH will be happy. There’s a lot of desserts that look good, at least. And I think Aria will really enjoy the music and dancing.

So after lunch we will spend a little time in the WS, probably by heading back towards FW and visiting China, Norway (ride Maelstrom?), and Mexico (ride the 3 Caballeros?) before heading back to BLT for an afternoon siesta! I have a surprise for DH this afternoon – which is the FREE Beer Tasting at the Wave! (Thanks, Joyce!) It’s from 3-4 so it should be a very nice way to relax in the afternoon. Depending on Aria, I may send him down alone, or maybe she will nap in her stroller or might be wide awake. I have no idea LOL. But he will get to enjoy it! (I don’t drink beer so it makes no difference to me how it plays out, just that he enjoys himself).

Beer-Sampling.jpg

After that, we will head back to EPCOT/WS and continue past Germany to visit Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, and France before ending up at the UK for dinner at the R&C. I am not sure yet what “special” thing to do for Aria for the trip, but I would LOVE to do something that each country signs or whatnot. Khertz did the vinylmation which is a cute idea, or maybe bring a pillowcase…I don’t really care to do an autograph book because I think for 1, she will never open it up, and 2, it will be way more fun when she handles the autograph book herself. This will be more a keepsake for all of us I guess. Ideas?

72223_589365709581_851303_n.jpg

I would like to visit the new wine grotto at the Italy pavilion, but it doesn’t have to be this day!

We have a 7PM ADR at R&C so too early to watch Illuminations from dinner. Instead we will just have fun people watching. I hope they still have the whiskey flight, DH enjoyed that quite a bit last time!

I might get:
Slow-cooked Chicken Curry with Basmati rice and pappadam $16.99 if it is chicken breast

And DH might go for
Grilled Tenderloin and Fried Fish - with Yorkshire Pudding, Mashed Potatoes, seasonal Vegetables, Cashel blue cheese butter and red wine sauce $26.99

I’d have said the fish and chips, but this seems like a fun option to try multiple things! Plus he loves blue cheese (ew).

I want to be sure to leave room for the Sticky Toffee Pudding!

After dinner, assuming it hasn’t turned into a 2-hour affair and we can actually watch Illuminations, we will head out continuing around, visiting the UK and Canada. Afterwards we will find a spot for Illuminations and watch the show, possibly getting Aria changed into her jammies, headphones on (though judging by her sleeping through cannons over the 4th parade, those might not be necessary LOL) and we’ll watch the show before hopping on the monorail back to the TTC, and then to BLT.

From last trip’s Illuminations show:

you are an updating machine! :goodvibes

Aria looked super cute in her 4th of July outfit! I loved the bows! The parade sounds like fun, I wish there had been one near here to take Everett too, he loves "herades".

I think your Disney plans sound great too! I didn't know there was a beer tasting at the Wave, I'll have to remember that for the future!

I think you'll find something at Germany, if nothing else the salad is great! :rotfl: I usually eat about three plates of salad when I go there, which DH thinks is hilarious.

LOL Sorry for my lack of thought with that question. I KNEW you guys went to DL for Connor's 1st birthday, so I was just being a dolt!

It's totally okay. There is no way we can remember every small detail we read at every moment of the day. :)

Hope your DH enjoys the beer rating tasting! What date is this? We might be there with him!

Day 3 looks likes blast and a Tom of yummy food! I'm hungry now lol!! :) EPCOT is my favorite park now. So much more fun now

Oh and I love the pics from the 4th. Looks like y'all had a blast and Aria is cute as always!

Great pictures of your 4th! Love that Aria got her first ride in already! Such a cutie...keep the pictures coming! (DH was just voicing concern today about not being able to go out and do as many things once baby's here, but you're a great example that you can still do so many things.)

As for your Day 3 plans, I love Kona! :lovestruc DH had the Somoan once, on the server's recommendation of it being the best item on the menu, and he LOVED it! Of course, you can't go wrong with your other option, either. And the yummy Tonga Toast. And, yes, Lilikoi juice is the same as the Frunch at Boma.

Huh, they no longer have the diapering thing in Innoventions? I didn't realize that. DH did that once too...fun! Oh, well. Is there something new in there now?

The rest of the day sounds good. I can't say a lot about Biergarten, as I was recovering from illness and not able to eat much the only time I've been there. But, it seemed like it would be good and it's on our list of places to go next time. Never been to Rose & Crown, but that sounds good too.

Wow. You have been busy. Love all of the updates. Glad Aria got her first ride. :yay: to your DH riding it too, since you had the extra ticket. Aria just keeps getting cuter. I adore your taste in clothes too, because she always looks so adorable in every cute outfit. Hopefully, you have a great time in Cape Cod, and we just hear from you when you return. I just had some toffee pudding recently, and it was quite good.

I love your Day three plans. It sounds like a nice pace to move at. My DH would love the beer tasting too, so thanks for the heads up.

Love the pictures of Aria from the parade!! Her little red white & blue dresses are so adorable. :goodvibes I remember taking Paxton to his very first Mardi Gras parade and he slept through EVERYTHING... One of the guys standing around us made a comment about him sleeping through the marching bands and I told him he usually wakes up at every noise at home. So the guy suggested that maybe we had been doing it wrong all along and maybe he needed loud blaring marching band music to help him sleep all night! :rotfl: It is absolutely amazing what babies can sleep through when they are tired enough!

For the countries, we enjoyed having the CM's sign the Vinyl and most of them commented how cool it was. The pillow case (or a blanket maybe?) is a great idea too. The only other things I could think of, although they might be awkward to carry around would be a scrapbook page for them to sign if you like to scrapbook, or a photo mat so you can frame maybe a picture of the three of you from the World Showcase and change out the photo with each trip? I'm sure whatever you decide will be a great keepsake!

I don't remember what they replaced it with. I need to look that up, but i was sad to see it go. We started "trying" at WDW in October 2010, so it was kinda fun to do the diapering thing...plus it is the ONLY thing DH has volunteered for, I couldn't believe he wanted to go up (we are both super shy for things like that).

R&C is wonderful, though mainly just for the Illuminations. For a non-meat-eater it isn't the best option LOL but that's okay.

Aria is just beautiful! THey grow WAY too quickly!!
Great updates, your plans soound fun!

Thanks! She IS growing way too quickly. Sitting pretty well now already, and can stand up holding on to things. Pretty amazing.

Thanks!! I love baby clothes. I have become obsessed LOL. I signed up for Wittlebee (if anyone is interested I can send them a $10 off code that I get points for too) - it's a monthly kids clothing box subscription. My last box came yesterday and it was amazing. :goodvibes I've also joined a Facebook clothing swap group where I've been able to get a TON of great clothes, either new or gently used, and trade in some things I didn't like or smaller sizes for larger sizes. She's basically set thru 24m/2T sizes hahahah.

Love the pictures of Aria from the parade!! I absolutely love the idea of the photo mat. It would be so neat to then be able to frame a picture from her first trip in it. Now just to figure out how to carry it around without it getting bent the whole trip LOL. I'd love for it to be the character signatures we meet (at character meals) as well as for the countries we visit. Thank you!!

Yes it is pretty amazing. Except in the middle of the night when she wakes up from a simple jingle of a dog collar...:scared1:  LOL

HI!!! :goodvibes

Anyone miss me??! LOL

I've been so busy getting back to work. It's harder than I thought trying to work "full time" only 3 days per week. They threw another full time project on me so I've been working on that quite a bit, but it finally ended yesterday!

Also, this week for some reason has been super bad regarding wishing I could just be HOME with Aria. I miss her so much. I hate that I have to leave her and it's just really bearing down on me this week. IDK why. I also miss her itty bitty baby cuddles, she is growing up too fast and interested in everything around her, but not so much cuddling in my arms. :(

Anyway on a brighter note, I just finished up Day 4 plans so that's next!

Day 4!

This will be a pretty hectic day because we’ll be moving out of BLT and into the condo. I think check in for the condo is at 4. Our plan is to pack up and put stuff in the car, and head to breakfast at Chef Mickeys!

Aria will be dolled out in her Minnie costume. This is part of what has been keeping me SO busy recently. I joined a FB clothing swap group and have stocked up on clothes up to size 3T for Aria! LOL. I have gotten a princess dress from it, and this Minnie dress, along with about 300 other items. Needless to say, DH is not happy about the PILES of clothes pouring into the house (neither is the mailman LOL) but I’m enjoying my new obsession.
391532_4348162101801_119913736_n.jpg

Breakfast is for 7:30, and I figure we’ll be done by 8:15 or so, hop in the car, and head to Animal Kingdom for the day! I love this park SO MUCH! We will probably head straight for the safari once we get in, since EE has the single rider line and Dinosaur (one of my faves) usually has a very short line. I’d really like to see Nemo OR Lion King this day, and do the other show another day, do a couple trails, head to the Rafiki’s Planet Watch, and maybe watch Flights of Wonder if we happen upon it at the right time. (BTW all pictures included here were from our trip in 2010)

We have lunch planned at Sanaa at 1PM! We may also explore the resort, depending on how Aria is doing, as I just LOVED it last time.

For lunch, Andrew will probably have
Slow Cooked in Gravy, Simple and Well Seasoned
Choice of two served with Basmati Rice or Five-grain pilaf
$18.99
With the Spicy Durban Chicken & Spicy Durban Shrimp
I might have
Vegetarian Sampler
Choice of two served with Basmati Rice or Five-grain pilaf $14.99
With Spicy Peas, chickpeas and potatoes & Vegetable Sambar

And probably some fun drink of some sort! Hehe

After lunch we’ll play it by ear. Maybe head back to AK for a while longer, depending on how much we did during the morning, but I do have a feeling we will probably just head over and try to check into the condo. As a recap, we will be spending the next 7 nights at the Cypress Pointe Resort in a 3 bedroom condo. Don’t know why we got a 3 BR, but there you have it. LOL. It has a full kitchen and LAUNDRY which I’m most excited about since it will allow us to continue cloth diapering while there.

Depending on if we get in right away, we will then head to the grocery store to get some goodies for the week. Tonight will be an easy night in, doing laundry, and probably making some simple dinner of pasta or something. We don’t plan to have any other lunches or dinners here, but will have many quick breakfasts so we’ll get stuff like bagels, juice, water, etc. We will hopefully have time to check out the pool, and they have a mini golf course as well.
I’m still unsure what to do about Aria sleeping. Rent a crib? Chance not being able to get a pack n play and then if we don’t – go from there?? IDK. Don’t really want to spend an extra $70 or so for the crib rental, but also don’t want to end up with Aria in our bed for the week bc we couldn’t get a pack n play from the resort (they aren’t guaranteed). We will bring our monitor and movement pads though, along with a ton of toys and such for her to feel more at home there.

Well, another day over at Disney! I love AK so am really looking forward to this, despite wishing we could stay on property all 10 nights. I am having so many reservations about staying offsite, but it was literally the only way I was able to get Andrew to agree to this trip…
