this is what I'm thinking all along. I keep seeing people (online and IRL) saying " I stayed at xxx on the dates of xxxx and felt very safe b/c there were very few people there on vacation also..... But what about the people who are obligated to be there b/c of the vacationers??? (Not debating the income needed part here) the staff, the workers, all the people that MUST be in contact with random travelers (could be from anywhere) ??? All of that includes interactions also, and no one truly knows what the staff does once they're off the clock,or what that travelers may be bringing along with them as far as spread of germs...If you have an ADR, and you are asymptomatic, you then put the entire restaurant, and everyone THEY go home to at risk.
What I'm thinking is purely from the health concern side of things... and I realize factoring in jobs is important, but at what cost, certain jobs like these? It's the travel industry as a whole right now that I have problems with. And I don't have the answers either. Just thinking.
