Now, no one intended on doing that, let alone bringing them to the parks now.
things up with this post, as it seems to me that the responses have become less about Disney's rules than about something else (different parenting styles? questions of appropriate public behavior? I'm not sure what exactly).Dear DeeKayPee,
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Walt Disney World Resort is a heavily themed environment whose world-renowned brand is woven into every element of the show. We reserve the right to exclude from all of our gated attractions. Guests whose appearance could create a distraction to the show. Examples that might be considered as such include the following: Adult costumes or clothing that could be viewed as a costume (unless worn by a child under the age of 10). Masks. Easily visible obscene or offensive language or graphics. Excessively torn clothing. Clothing with offensive material. Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.
The goal of the Walt Disney World Resort is to provide a safe, secure environment for our Guests to enjoy the show and our Cast to deliver the show. To this end, all theme park guests are required to wear shirts and shoes at all times. Generally, swimsuit tops are allowed when worn with other appropriate garments.
Florida law does not permit in-line skating or roller shoes on roadways, Theme Parks or parking lots. Please contact your Resort Recreation Cast Member for information concerning appropriate guidelines for in-line skating, skateboarding, and scooters at your Resort location.
If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.
Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Melissa Acevedo

PLEASE NOTE: All information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to your visit.
Could you please send me the information--a list is fine--of Walt Disney World Resort's Rules and Regulations (similar to the one offered for Hong Kong Disneyland)? I'm particularly interested in knowing the guidelines for appearance and attire (everyday clothing, bathing suits, shoes) and for policies on guest behavior. To be more specific, the question has arisen about appropriate attire for children with regards to 1) wearing bathing suits in the non-water parks and 2) the use of Heelys Roller Shoes.
Thank you in advance.
Best,
DeeKayPee

Becky_Boop said:Yes, we do. If there was no sign or at least an official rule, it would be allowed in the parks. There is one, and we won't use Heelys in the parks.

notnothin said:I guess common sense isn't enough? Interesting ...![]()
schlepsnort said:So does that mean you need other rules posted?
Such as:
don't defecate in public?
do not kill others?
do not play with a loaded weapon?
don't mix different chemicals in your toilet?
never run with scissors?
if you make a face long enough your face will freeze that way![]()
I would think that most people have the ability to think of common sense rules all on their own and wouldn't need them posted...sadly I apparently was wrong!
I guess that's why owners manuals on items have gotten so long winded, have to cover for those people who have no common sense and boy, it seems like there's a whole bunch of them in the world now!!

Becky_Boop said:Now THOSE are examples of common sense. And, probably, many of those are in the official Disney rules. I'm just not going to be the one calling Disney to ask if I'm allowed to defecate in public.![]()
Now that's a good one! Jennasis said:This thread is nutty. I haven't ever seen anybody wearing Heely's in a store/mall/park/or WDW.
Jennasis said:I also can't believe there are parents who allow their children to roll around the theme parks or frankly even in Walmart. What a stupid idea.

Skates are skates, seriously people, if you strap them on with leather over your shoes, wear them attached to a boot or even if they so covertly pop out of the bottom of your shoe!
If you attach wheels to your feet and roll...you are skating!
No skating at Disney.
Hixski said:If you ever read anything on the now closed thread "Have you ever seen a shock" you would know that people were doing just that in WDW.l
Becky_Boop said:We've already went over this on this thread. It's not common sense. Common sense is knowing to wear pants, knowing not to wear sneakers that some kids wear every day isn't.
I'm the OP, and closing this thread would be okey-dokey with me.Kanikazi said:This says it all. Can this be the end of this thread?![]()
