WDW planning help needed

Yes, I AM available tomorrow! :) Would love to see you guys. But I don't think I have your number anymore! :guilty: I messaged you on FaceBook. :)

Most of my opinions have already been shared by others, but, I'd like to add 2 things:

- The movie after the boat ride in Norway is really good. Most people just walk right through without viewing it and, I think, end up missing out on the best part of the attraction. It's old and out-of-date, but, inspiring nonetheless.

- If you aren't planning to go to DHS, do you really need park hoppers? You'll be paying about $55 for the ability to move parks and although we generally end up spending it, I'd think through your plans carefully before spending it.

Epcot - I would skip Soarin'; it is exactly like the DCA version, but with longer lines! Test Track and Mission: Space are must rides in Future World.

DAK - Everest Expedition, and the Nemo & the Lion King shows are my favorites. [Loved the acrobatic "monkeys" in the Lion King show ;)]

DHS - The Tower of Terror is different than the one in DCA and there is also the Rock N Roller coaster. Fortunately, both of these E ticket rides are right next to each other. Toy Story Mania is just down the street. It is the same as DCA, except the queue is inside and air conditioned! :)

I know that it is expensive, but you might consider an annual pass. I went to WDW in early December 2009. I knew that I would return in June 2010 for Gay Days and probably again in early December 2010. It was cheaper to buy an annual pass than day passes or parkhoppers. I love the free parking that comes with the annual pass. The cheapest place for the annual pass was via Auto Club South.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. We've been actually sitting down, trying to plot out the parks, times and what to see and ride. Even looked over the park maps given to us by Elizabeth.

Does MK still have Spectromagic and Wishes? Or do they only have that atrocity that is the Celebrate Street Party like DL? I'm so fed up that DL doesn't have a true parade other then ELP which is a summer and holiday parade now at DCA.

Wishes every night.....Spectro select nights.

What day are you gonna be at the MK?

Dear Lord, you had lunch with Elizabeth yesterday, you dont have a spreadsheet yet? :rotfl2:

There is a parade every day at 3 PM. Then Spectro on "select" nights.
They were also doing a little short "Celebrate Today" parade-type thing. Consult your times guide. ;)

They didn't ask for a spreadsheet, but we can certainly do that. :bitelip:

They do have a street party at MK too, but it's not too shabby.

You might wanna catch the Spectromagic parade while you still can. I heard a rumor that they're planning on moving it over to Paris in the near future. :sad1:

I'm resisting with every fiber of my being, to not open up a spreadsheet to set up what parks and times. It completely goes against our nature!

We plan on being at MK the entire day Sunday from open until 1am. I'm really hoping that Spectro is that night. Steven's never experienced a true parade at a Disney park other then ELP at DCA one time. I'm really over the Celebrate street party. I mean, it's good and all and has a lot of energy, but I miss a beautiful parade with all the lights and great music.

Here's our park plans based upon the online schedule. Let me know if we're crazy or not:

Friday 30th – AK 9-5 (Jammin' Jungle Parade 3:45), then head over to Epcot from 6-12am (EMH), Illuminations 9pm.

Saturday 1st – Two choices: MK from 9-3, then Epcot 3:30-9 OR, If we feel that we've experienced enough of EPCOT and can fully enjoy MK all in one day on Sunday, we're going to substitute it with DHS from (EMH) 8am-9pm. Steven's never been on Rockin' Roller Coaster and he wants to see the DHS version of TSM and ToT.

Sunday 2nd – MK from 9-1am (EMH) Dreams come True 3pm, Spectro 9pm and Wishes at 10pm. (woohoo!)

Is this possible or should we just skip DHS all together and concentrate on the 3?

You could have offered!

I think your plan is possible, but, expect to be busy the whole time.

If it is AM EMH at DHS you should be able to knock out both TSM and RnRC in the stand by lines before 9 AM. Got to TSM first. The line will be posted 40 minutes, but it shouldn't be that long if you don't dilly dally on your way over there. (And don't wait until 8 AM to get to the park.) Last month it was posted 40 and we were through in 25. From there go to RnRC and either stand by or Fast Pass. We were basically able to walk right on. ToT is right beside RnRC, so you can potentially do both by very shortly after 9 AM.

I will tell you we do NOT consider DHS a full day park. There just isn't enough going on to stay there ALL day. I do HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend the Beauty and the Beast show, even though it usually doesn't start running until 11:30 AM or so. It is truly spectacular.

On the schdule I am looking at on the 1st no Wishes or Spectro.....

on the 2nd Spectro is at 9:00 Wishes is at 10:00PM.

I have a great idea! We get the boys premium seats for Fantasmick and we video tape their facial expressions while they watch the Florida version!

Hmmmm It would probably go something like this....

:scared1:  :sad2: :rotfl2: :sad1:

Hemetite, the guys only live about 20 minutes away from me. We can do a spreadsheet if they want/need one. No problem. ;)

No spreadsheets! The only thing I'm going to take with me is a small note put in my iphone to reference times. :)

Luckily, MK is our only park for teh 2nd, so we'll get to see it all.

Yeah we decided to just pass on Fantasmic! completely. No offense to DHS, but I did get to see it when I was there with the ex and the inlaws. I really do hope you all get the upgrades they've done at DL. :rotfl:

Yeah, especially if they know anything about canoeing -- although perhaps that problem exists in the DL version too.... (I know it's a small detail, but, really, the fact that those boats should be turning the OTHER direction really detracts from the whole thing.)

I'm confused. Which isn't difficult to do. What's wrong with the boats at DHS?

The canoes in the Pocahontas section often collide into each other, and often never make it back stage in time for the next scene.....that's all I am aware of.
