WDW Pin Events 2002....Why?

Just curious why do you think disney would not have any summer pin events this year I mean 2 pin events in the same month thats a little ridiculous they should have spread them out more. And why is the Epcot event in September I guess I will never understand how Disney decides these things, and I guess I wont be at any of the pin events

Having a September Epcot event sucks! Summer is a perfect time for a pin event!! Disney is backwards. I guess I won't be at any of the events, I will be working!!

Makes sense to me. The crowds are dwindling in Sept. So this would be there way of trying to drag guests back into the parks when as it slows down.
Plus it is so dog gone hot in the summer in FL.

Here are my thoughts.

Disney made changes to this years event based on two things. Feedback from the first event. They addressed complaints about having for 4 days, its now 3, and many many people complained about the heat, so they moved it to September. Another thing is that Disney has traditionally done pin events in September. In 2000 we had the Artist Choice weekends, 2001 we had the Trade Parade Weekends. So, 2002 is the Epcot pin event. I like the three day event better then a months worth of events. MHO.

The other conflict was Disneyana. Since it got moved to August, they didn't want to have two events in the same month.

Just my thoughts. Hope to see everyone there.
