WDW Photo & Video Taping Tips

I will take pictures on the dark rides without flash. Sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don't. I think a lot depends on the film speed and the available lighting in the ride (and how much you are moving - causing the camera to shake). I have some great pictures of It's A Small World and one of the scenes from Peter Pan, but my pictures from the Winnie the Pooh ride came out blurry. My solution? Postcards! That way I know I'll have something to remember the ride even if my pics don't turn out.

I video taped Haunted mansion with my night light, it did not disturb anyone and it came out great... but I saw people taking flash photography everywhere in HM and still kept their camaras, even if they said no flash photography please. I guess it's a question of enjoying the ride and show some respect for others.... besides there's great places to take pictures in front of rides or in the queue area...

A little tip - put your camera inside a ziploc bag before putting it away - that way if you get on a wet ride or if it rains, the camera is protected.

You can also go to any of the camera shops on property and download your digitals so you can free up space in your memory.

DH videotaped almost every ride we were on. The only attractions a CM told him he was not allowed to video was Tower of Terror and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. At ToT, they came up to us after the ride and told him not to tape on that ride again. At WWtBaM a CM came up to him during the show and asked him to please stop taping.

My dh videotaped on TOT too and it our photo there he was with that video camera. No one said anything to us but it is hilarious watching it cause everyone is screaming so much.
