So, I figure we should just touch base about an "official" meeting spot again. I read that there are "check points" to get into the area where everest is. Do we know for certain that we will be able to get to the bridge that flying pegasus is talking about?...

I would be extremely surprised if they closed the bridge down. Even if they did we could always meet just before the bridge in the Tarzan Rocks! entrance area. They can not close that down.

I talked to Lovethattink today just after she'd gotten to ride it. She said they did have parts of the path closed down and today was the last showing of Tarzan Rocks -- they might have part of the path blocked off, who knows.

Anyway, prolly should do an initial gathering somewhere we know we can find everyone.

I already plan on being in the park at that hour, so, leaving and reentering would be a pain. (Not to mention, I'm lazy and prolly won't want to walk back to the entrance ) I like the idea of meeting as a group at the raised seating area near Flame Tree. The Flame Tree is just to the right as you stand in front of the Tree of Life (as if you were going over to DinoLand & Tarzan Rocks.

We are going to go on Friday afternoon or Sunday morning. DD and I will go on the ride and DH will go through chicken exit. We had lunch with one of the imagineers that is in charge of this ride three years ago and have followed the construction process.

I want to know, Sorcmickey, what was your secret for riding Everest many times. Were you there very early? We got there around 11 and there was a huge line already.

I can't find my passholder e-mail. I deleted it. Is the pin and lanyard free, or do we have to purchase it?

For Saturday, maybe those of us who get there before 10 can get fast passes. Those who want to ride again later can use the fast passes of those not riding again!

I won't get to WDW til Friday afternoon (I'm "working from home" on Friday morning so I don't actually have to take a day off )

Getting fast passes is a good idea. I do plan on being at the park at opening on Saturday.

I'm not Aeryn, but I'm going to be there bright and early Friday morning to ride. Afterall, since Disney was nice enough to open a ride for me on my actually birthday, I should be there.
