I'm hoping that means I get to doubledip

I was wondering what the real life pin will look like. Do you think it will look anything the the virtural pin?

I want to know, Sorcmickey, what was your secret for riding Everest many times. Were you there very early? We got there around 11 and there was a huge line already.

what is my secret? well i did get there about noon and my secret well that is just it a secret. i can not say how i never wait in line for the new rides. (Gotta love fast pass)
oh btw there is a limited shirt there and once sold out it is gone never to be seen again. they do have a pin there and it does look pretty cool, no it doesnt look like the VMK pin.

Hi,

Just wanted to say that we are on our way to WDW first thing tomorrow morning! We may or may not have much internet access (we usually only pay for one 24 hour period and use dial up the rest of the time)

I will be at the Flame Tree at 10am with DH and DS. We will be at AK at rope drop and will pick up some fast passes. If they are for the afternoon, we will gladly let someone else have them. (If they are for the morning, we will use them ) After getting our fast passes, we will probably head over to the flame tree, so will likely be there a little early if anyone wants to come hang out. Not sure exactly what we'll be wearing, but will attempt to have one of us in something "Canadian".

Looking forward to meeting a bunch of you there!

Got my tentative work schedule today and got Friday AND Saturday off. I will definitely be at the Saturday meet. If anyone wants to meet on Friday could do that also.

We were just casually discussing in Corianders room, about the meet this saturday, I told Coriander to start driving and she could be here by saturday. We were talking about who lived the farthest away, when bamm in walks VMK_Bingo to give us all a warning!

I am so glad we all did not get "band"!

We did the passholder preview today. They really had their act together! First for parking. For those of us who "cheat" and usually head towards the right parking lot near handicapped parking, you can forget it. "Checkpoint Charlie" is there to ensure that ONLY handicap, Taxis and buses get in there. (Please note: we were angelic and parked as we should, others we noticed were turned away.) To enter the Everest area you have to show your pass/DVC card and photo ID. They had both fast passes and baby swap passes available. (Aeryn, you can double dip and get double lanyard/pin)

Well I got bad news today. The only day I can get off this week is Friday. If I do the preview at all (got some other more important stuff that needs doing first) it will have to be on Friday.

double dipping would be nice but all the pins and landyards were sold out yesterday by 1pm they were limited edition of about 2000. sorry for the sad info

There are gazillions of the free ones!!! Don't worry. And yes, I did here that about the LE ones at about 11am. but those are the ones you had to pay $10.95 for. The ugly free ones are plentiful!

So as of this morning, the "free" pin/lanyard is plentiful -- I was told that it's tied to your admission ticket whether DVC or AP so, no double dipping apparently. The Opening Day Pins that you $pay$ for are of 2 varieties: DVC, of which there are some left and AP, of which there were less than 100 left this morning and they are now totally sold out.

I'll be leaving for the parks in about an hour Hopefully I'll be able to get to AK to get a DVC pin before they are all gone.

Disney *really* should have released a few of the AP & DVC pins each of the 4 days of the event. Having them all out on the first day was just stupid.

Dh was with me when I asked about the double dip, and the people behind us DID say to the CM cool then we want to double dip after they heard us. I didn't stick around to see how that went. Maybe they allowed too many to double dip and now there's not enough

We didn't get any of the AP pins to buy. I didn't like them. I did get the cute post card yeti rack pin.

Totally agree with you. We are both AP holders and DVC members and won't be able to get either pin. We are arriving at WDW late this evening and will be going to AK on Saturday morning. It would have been nice if they alloted a certain amount each day for people like us. I'm sure there will be plenty for sale on EBAY and that is a sad thing.
