There will be set times. I think it will be in the "final race instructions" section but right now there's nothing posted. The most recent races have had the first few corrals closer together, just a couple of minutes apart, and the later corrals with a longer span, like 7-8 minutes apart.

Does anyone know how corrals will be assigned for the 10K and 5K?

Those will not be known until Bib Pickup.

Last year you just picked your own coral...even though they had coral placements on the bibs...but they made no sense. My 8 year old niece was assigned coral A while the rest of her family were behind her.

I get very excited and anxious before the race start, and I image becoming ever more anxious and excited having to wait (and not run!) after the official start, and then again for each corral start after that. I am looking forward to it -- a new experience.

6747 is almost exactly mid-pack - there are 13763 full-only runners, so half of that is 6882. Your corral has less than 700 full-only runners, but look how much larger the last couple corrals are, 2500+. The corrals can't be compared to last year.

A= 445

C=1008
D= 1003

P= 3510

you need to count the number of total runners. i'm in corral G for the half. that looks like i'm just at the front of the halfway point. but when you add up the total number and the number of people in the corrals up to (and including) G, i'm in the front 26-27% of runners. the first corrals have fewer people and the last three corrals have a lot of people.

Me, too. Over the past 10 years, with comparable times to this year, I have been in Elite and A, but am in C this year (running Dopey). Corral placement is not as predictable as it used to be.

I missed last year... Y'all, I can hardly wait these last few weeks! It's going to be fun fun fun!!!

If it were me, and since you have no sweep concerns, I would start literally in the back, right next to the balloon ladies, and see how many people I can pass during the race. Think of how many thousands of people you would pass. Tens of thousands! Yep. I would totally do that.
