The next day, we decided to have a do-over day for the Magic Kingdom because the first day we had spend most of the time with me feeling sick. We didn't get there so early this time because we had decided to give up on the princess breakfast since they wouldn't let us get in without priority seating.
Our first stop, as usual, was the Exposition Hall. I always have to run in there and check for characters! We found a good one- Princess Aurora! I think I've only seen her a handful of times in all my days at Disney parks. She was sitting all by herself with her greeter in the back of Exposition Hall. We actually got to have a conversation with her- too funny! Oh, and get this- she was the same Aurora that I met once on the college program, and even though I swear we had only met once, she remembered me! Not only did she remember that I sing, she remembered what school I go to! Man, those princesses have good memories! lol (either that or I'm a very distinct person.)
I really wanted a Dole Whip because I hadn't had one since the year before, so we high-tailed it to Adventureland. They're so good. I like pinapple and vanilla swirl in pinapple juice. By this time, the way I was feeling was starting to turn into a cold. I wasn't in the mood to eat much else besides ice cream. I didn't even finish the Dole Whip! Oh well.
We rode the train in hopes of running into a few internet aquaintences who work there, but no luck. What was really cool though was we were on the train right before the parade started. We could see some of the floats waiting backstage, and all the people on them waved to us. On the other side, a lone Fantasia broom waved to us. hehehe. After the train ride, we decided to watch the parade again.
We hung around MK until about 5pm when we decided to resort hop a bit. They make it really hard to resort hop since you can't take a bus from one resort to another so you have to go a round about way. I wanted to see the Grand Floridian since I had never set foot in that building before. It's really fancy! It reminds me of the Peabody Hotel back home. There was a piano player in the center of the lobby. Chris tried very hard to talk me into requesting him to play a song that I could sing to, but I chickened out. (it was approaching the guy that I was too shy to do, not singing) That evening, we ate dinner at the counter service resturant in the Grand Floridian. (I forget what it's called). Chris treated me.
When we were ready to head back to All Stars (or the "ghetto" resorts as Chris likes to call them), we had to figure out the best way to get there. We decided to take the monorail to TTC and then to Ecpot and take the bus from there. Of course, as we arrived at TTC, it suddenly occured to me that it would've made more sense to go to MK and take the bus from there! Whoops.
Actually, it turned out to be a good thing we went the longer way because guess what I saw as we exited the monorail at Epcot? A bright lime green ribbon! Yup! We ran smack into a DISer! Two actually- it was Cleo and Nativetxn. We had a fun conversation with them, and then they asked me to sing. Cleo remembered that she had a video camera, so she now has video footage of me singing "Part of Your World." :-D It'd be so awesome if she found a way to post that and share it with you all. I wanted to spend more time with them, but we couldn't go into Epcot because I hadn't bothered getting my hand stamped at MK since we weren't planning to return to the parks. Nativetxn offered to meet us somewhere before she left on Friday and she'd treat me at a coffee place or something, but unfortunately, we never got back in touch with her before then.
