WDW has a new fan...This is his trip report (Completed!! 2013-05-20)

Awesome trip report man. I don't read many of these, but yours is a good read, thoroughly enjoying it. We haven't been to WDW in a few years because my wife did a career change, so we just haven't had the time...but we booked a trip last week and are all stoked.

On a side note, it's too bad Tower of Terror was closed...it's my favorite ride at WDW. You pretty much have to ride it and Rockin Roller Coaster to complete your picture collection. It's the right thing to do!

So I'm SUPER late joining in... BUT I just read everything in one sitting and well its been great and I can't believe it has to end :(

The Video = Me crying at my desk at work :worship:

The Picture of Everest = Me laughing so hard I cried at my desk at work :rotfl:

There is so much more to comment on but I'll just reserve myself... sit back and relax while I wait for your day 7 :)

So count me in... For what its worth I am reading :goodvibes

We ended our walk in the U.K pavilion where we had a 7:45 pm reservation at The “Rose and Crown Pub”. I had requested and received a balcony seat for “Illuminations” and once seated (there was quite a wait but it was worth it) we settled in to try and decide what was for dinner. We had a great waiter (Kyle from Scotland) who suggested the “Cornish Game Hen” for me and man was he on point with that one! As Nicole enjoyed her fish and chips I sat down for, probably, the best meal I had during my entire stay in WDW. If someone can think of a better view in WDW than eating dessert on the “Rose and Crown” balcony while “Illuminations” takes place right in front of you I’d be interested in knowing about it. As far as the “Cornish Game Hen” If you eat here order this....coupled with the sticky toffee pudding for dessert this is a home run of a meal!
.

Kyle is a good friend of mine! He came home in May and I will let him know about your trip report! :) :thumbsup2

Late to the party, but just had to say I just read the whole thing and enjoyed it very much. Loved the pics on Everest and Splash. Your wife is a lucky woman to have a husband who loves her as much as you do.:goodvibes

Hi
I'm normally a lurker, but I just had to post to tell you how much I loved your TR. I just found it today and what a great read! You are a wonderful husband to plan this surprise for your wife. I laughed so much when I read your description of Expedition Everest and laughed even harder when I saw your picture. Splash Mountain pic was funny too. You are The Man!

It reminded me of my first (and last) ride on the log ride at Busch Gardens in 1980 on our first trip to Florida. Once was enough for me! Besides, there are lots of other fun rides that don't scare us. I'll stick to those.

On your next trip try Toy Story Midway Mania. It's so much fun that we had to buy the Wii game and play it with our grandkids at home.

Waiting for the rest of your TR now. Will watch for next year's TR too. Keep writing, and scrapbooking. What a sport! We'd love to read about that cruise also.

Just read your TR and loved it. It's so exciting hearing about people's first time at the world. Always so sad when it's over.

Hi there Green Machine. There is a whole group of us here who are behind you waiting and holding our breath for a update.

I just found your TR. I just finished reading about day 3 and I'm loving it so far! It's fun to read about WDW from the point of view of first timers... and Canadians! ;)

Wow! Great report! You had me totally laughing out loud at some parts. I, for one, am one of the Canadians that LOVE roller coasters though. :thumbsup2

Just a tip, you don't need to go back to the same store at WDW to return something, although I'm glad you did this time since you found the Partners statue. I have exchanged/returned things to different stores, including at my hotel. :)

I'm looking forward to reading the end of your report.
