Not sure which board it is best to post this question on, but here goes. July 2006 we are planning a return trip to WDW to celebrate younger DS's high school graduation. He is an avid golfer (plays on the high school team) and we have promised him that he can bring his clubs and spend some time playing golf at WDW. (He will be playing with DH and our other DS.) I'm thinking they will play 2, possibly 3 times. Now my questions are:
1. Can anyone suggest the top 3 of the 5 courses to play at WDW? I have no idea how to choose. I think he will play late afternoon, at the discounted rates. Hopefully the sun won't be as strong then, also. (DH and other DS are both very fair-skinned redheads.)
2. I understand there are often afternoon thunderstorms - I'm nervous about them being on the course during these, especially if there is lightning. How are these storms handled - DH tells me that usually an alarm is sounded and all golfers return to the clubhouse until storm is over. Is this what happens?
3. I've read on the WDW site that you can't preschedule tee times if you are golfing late afternoon during the discount rate time. Does anyone know if it is crowded at this time - are they going to have to wait a long time before being able to go out onto the course? I plan to make PS for dinners , and I'm uncertain what time I should be thinking of us eating on those nights.
TIA for any and all help with these questions!

The early mornings will be crowded, late afternoon's mite not be as bad. I have golfed at 4 courses. Lake Buena Vista is my favorite because it intertwines with OKW and SSR resorts. The Magnolia is my second favorite, then the Palm. I also golfed at Bonnet Creek which is also nice I believe you get views of the castle on that course. Hope this helps.
