WDW Golf Courses closed?

I've heard that all four of Disney's golf courses will be closed temporarily for a short time before closing one day a week through to July. I'd like to know if this is the case as I run a blog dedicated to golfing in WDW and would like to warn my visitors to bear it in mind if they're visiting in the very near future.

This is what I've heard so far...

Disney’s Palm Golf Course will be closed every day from now until 21st May and then on Mondays only from 8th June until 27th July

Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course will be closed every day from 18th May until 28th May and then on Tuesdays only from 9th June until 28th July

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course will be closed every day from 26th May until 4th June and then on Wednesdays only from 10th June until 29th July

Disney’s Osprey Ridge Golf Course will be closed every day from 1st June until 11th June and then on Thursdays only from 18th June until 30th July

There doesn't seem to be an official reason yet either, so if anyone can help me out I'd be grateful!

I don't know this for sure, but it's probably for course maintenance like aerating greens.

This could be true because we are going 5/30-6/5 and DH wanted to play LBV but it is closed. So he had his choice of Magnolia or Osprey Ridge (took Osprey) on Sun 5/31 and only Magnolia on Wed 6/3 which falls with the schedule you have stated. Of course as long as he is on a course and not at work he is a pretty happy guy!!

1) The golf courses are getting little play.
2) Alternate closing saves manpower and maintenance.

I checked the internal calendars. They show each of the courses closed for about ten days at a time for "Aerification". There generally will be one course closed at a time, but there are a few overlap days where two courses are closed.
