Hello all! DH and I will going back for our 2nd (hopefully Annual) kid-free trip this August. We did it last August because #1) my birthday is in August and where better to celebrate than WDW; and #2) DH is a teacher so we're limited to school vacation time and we usually go with the kids during Feb. or April vacation; and #3) i had recently become a Disney TA and so wanted to go without the kids so I can have a trip that's not focused soley on character hunting and commando park touring, and more focused on stopping and smelling the flowers as well as trying new resorts and restaurants that might not appeal to the kids as much (or resorts that we couldn't afford to do a longer stay with 2 additional people along, lol). And so, hopefully, an annual tradition has been born.
Last August we did YC, this August we'll be doing WL. My goals for our kid-free trips are to: relax, smell the roses, try new restaurants, stay at a new resort, go on a new attraction, visit another resort, and see as much as possible that I've never seen before, in 4 days, lol. I just finalized my plans and this is what I came up with. Any comments/suggestions are welcome as I have had a heck of a time with this plan, trying to balance "relaxation" with "seeing as much as possible", lol.
8/28 - arrive MCO @ 2:30, check in at WL, head to MK probably around 5:00, dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and MK for the evening
8/29 - arrive EPCOT late morning, wander the WS a bit, do a QS lunch there, back to resort for couple hours at the pool. Head to HS around 5:00ish, dinner at 50s Prime Time, HS for the evening.
8/30 - MK for rope drop. Hopefully, FP for BoG for lunch. Stay 'til mid-afternoon, then head back to WL for the evening. Dinner at Whispering Canyon and just hang at the bar or go to bed early or whatever.
8/31 - Breakfast at Kona Café, check out the Poly. Back to WL for a few hours, then head to EP for the evening. Dinner @ Teppan Edo
9/1 - home!
How does it sound??
