WDW Food Nostalgia

Oh! And a bagel with strawberry cream cheese at MSB on my very first trip to WDW, after my very first look at the castle. Since then, bagels w/ strawberry cream cheese are one of my favorite things and always make me smile. :)

I miss the old school bread....its just not the same now.
I also miss the blackened catfish at Coral Reef.

There are others that I just can't quite seem to think of, but it sure feels like darn near everytime I come up with a "must have" its changed or deleted! :rolleyes1

Another vote for Fireworks Factory. Our fave night out! Great ribs and delicious adult beverages, too.

Another Fireworks Factory fan! They had the best hot wings I've ever eaten anywhere! I miss those wings. :sad2:

I also miss the Carbonara at the Concourse Grill (pre-Concourse Steakhouse) - it was excellent.

I just plain miss the Concourse Steakhouse. I would stop by there 2-3 times per week on my way home from work for dinner. There's no other Disney restaurant I would consider dining in that often.

The handwich! (Not that it was that good, but it was cool)
)

Actually, we loved the handwich! It was like a salad in a bread cone. Awesome. We had them at the Lunching Pad in 1994, and they were gone on our next trip.

My son and I miss the old Fountainview Cafe at Epcot. It used to have bakery items, bagels, fruit tarts and other breakfast items, and we always started our days at Epcot there. Now it's just ice cream...

Oh I should have added that to my list as well! We'd usually go there around 10:30am, after rope drop and having ridden the "must dos" and we'd sit there with coffee, enjoying the fountain and people watching.

I'm sad they turned it into ice cream.

It's funny the more I read this thread the more things I come up with that I miss:

Breakfast the ABC Commissary - it wasn't busy, the food was hot and fresh and the plates were overflowing - they had really great perfectly cooked hashbrown potatoes (not the patties but actual hashbrowns), eggs, sausage patties, bacon and fresh biscuits.

The teriyaki tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes at the Coral Reef. This was just an amazing dish.

The potatoes at Ohana.
