WDW during New Years at CBR

Looking for feedback on the Carribean Beach Resort. I've been to WDW 4 times, but this is our 1st stay at the CBR. Also, we'll be there New Years week. Any tips? What special events go on during that time??

The CBR is a wonderful resort and will make you feel like you are in the "islands" even in the dead of winter! I think you've made a good choice.

If by New Year's Week you mean the week leading into NYE, then you are going to be there at a very, very busy time. NYE itself is probably the busiest day of the year at WDW. You'll find many threads about the holiday happenings and strategies for NYE itself. Just a few of the highlights are the Osborne lights at MGM, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot and the beautifully decorated resorts around all of WDW. NYE there is special entertainment at MGM and Epcot and all the parks (except AK) have spectacular fireworks at midnight. PI requires a special ticket that night and usually features some name entertainment. This year it was the B-52s.
