So it's been decided in this house that Dec 2012 is it for us!!:banana: Miss H and I will be heading to Hong Kong in the last week of November for her to dance at Hong Kong Disney with her dancing school and we will then fly to LA to meet DH, and the two boys on approx Dec 2nd. How exciting that us girls will get a dose of Disney in two countries.:yay: So for now our trip will consist of a bit of LA, as we will probably do Legoland first in CA as I don't think our son could wait till the end of the trip... and I'm not sure I'm prepared to put up with the moaning.. then to NY, then to Orlando for 7 days at WDW, then Universal, Harry Potter, Kennedy Space Centre and shopping. We would hope to get a few days in San Fran before we make it home just in time for Christmas. :santa: (addicted to the smilies)
So after reading the thread about travel agents in the US I emailed off a few quote interests to a few of the TA's you guys have recommended. Jo from Small World Vacations has emailed me back and has asked a few questions including what else we are looking to do in the area. So do they sort out all the extra bits too?? I was thinking of staying off site maybe to do the other things?? Not too sure. I guess I also let her now that we'd love to go to Mickeys' Christmas party and could be slightly flexible if that would include free dining etc?? We also have the possibility of my husbands aunt and her daughter who is 22 tagging along, but I haven't mentioned that yet, or do you think I should?? agghhh thank you in advance for any advice. I have never used a travel agent before and don't want to be a nuisance to them!!

hey

congrats on the trip....
email your TA with different scenarios......dates/ people etc
also see re pricing for value/moderate and delux accom..you may be pleasantly surprised.
that's what they are there for..so enjoy!

Thanks Karen, I will be composing my email after I drop the kids to school... omg.. there is so much we wish to do!!! I hope this poor lady is ready!!

Congratulations! That is very exciting!!!!

I second what australiankaren has mentioned. Just lay out your possibles and let the TA help you. If she is anything like our agent from small world vacations, she'll be awesome and friendly to boot! Nothing was a hassle or a problem for her.

:cool1: Well done for deciding on your dates. Have fun with you TA from SWV. Mine was great too.

Your trip sounds fantastic, and that's very exciting that you'll have the Disney experience in two countries!

I will be in the US at the same time. Not sure exactly which part as we haven't finalised our itinerary yet but hearing about somebody else going at the same time makes it seem not so far away anymore!

Good luck with your planning!

Jo is wonderful - Coincidentally I emailed her this morning to book at POR for Dec 2012. Trust me nothing will be too much trouble. She has booked both our trips so far and both times I changed dates, resorts, ADR's and everything always apologising for being a pain but it was never a bother (or so she said)

We're planning Paris, Rome, Venice, New York, Disney, Universal, Cruise. A bit all over the place but we have an event in Paris we will be attending in late Nov and we want to tie in Disney somehow.
