WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! DONE!!! - PG 51!!

Thanks guys. Jack is home. As soon as Tom gets home, we're going to take him to the Veterinary Hospital. I would have just went straight there but it's down the shore...and any of you New Jersians know, the parkway is going to be PACKED with other New Jersians going down for their last blast of summer on this holiday weekend!!

What will normally take 45 mins to get to will most likely take us 2 hours...so I figured I'd better wait for him.

The Dr. said she would call and let them know we're coming and they need to run some more advanced tests to see if they can figure out what is causing the anemia so it can be treated. He MAY need to stay over night and he MAY need a blood tranfusion.

The Dr. visit alone just cost me $477, I dont even want to think about what my bill is going to be at the end of all this..........

Hi Nikki, hope you're cat is doing ok

I love you're TR so far! i have dreamed about DCL ever since i heard about it.. it's good to read a 'good and bad' review of it :goodvibes

and.... omg "church giggles"... that is a perfect phrase, i've never heard that before... this year DBF & I have been to a wedding & a christening, and both times we've ended up giggling and being so childish... it must be something about being in a church?! where you're supposed to be quiet and mature?! :rotfl:

that show on the cruise sounds so cute :cutie:

Emma princess: x x

ps - how are your plans going for the October trip!? xx

Your hair looks adorable!!! :thumbsup2 I think I like it better on you this length.

Poor Jack. I hope they find out what is causing him to feel so bad and he gets better soon. Being a cat owner myself I totally relate. They are a very important part of the family. Here's some pixie dust to help things along. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Thanks! I know, it's like when you're supposed to be quiet and serious, you just can't help but giggle!

Plans for October trip are coming along nicely but for the most part are out of my hands! We're traveling with my sister and she's got a couple of friends who made ADRs for us so I didn't have to do any of that. Already got my ME tags, just need to decide if it's worth it to rent a car to get a LITTLE extra time in that park

:hug:I'm sorry Jack is doing poorly, here's some pixiedust:for a quick recovery.

Thank you!

Thanks for the hair compliment! Isn't it devestating? When Kitty passed away, I felt like it was worse than losing an actual person. Mostly because I felt horrible that she didn't understand what was going on...and they're just so innocent and loving.

Vet bills can be so bad.

I am hoping Jack feels better soon.

Thanks Christy. Estimate at the hospital was $1500-$2000.

I'm sorry if you already said it...but how old is Jack?

Jack is 9 years old, which is considered "middle-aged."

Good luck and (((soft scratches)) to Jack!

Thank you!

We just got home. Shockingly, there was NO traffic on the parkway and we got there in about 1/2 hour. They took him right away and we waited for a little then met with the doctor. We explained to her again all the symptons we've been seeing in Jack. She said he was "stable" (which sounded scary, but in her mind was a good thing) and suggested we leave him overnight so they can observe him and in case his blood count gets any lower, they can do a transfusion (also scary). Then tomorrow, the intertal medicine team will do some more tests and hopefully figure out what's causing the anemia.

Sooooo, that's all I know for now. I miss him, though. Even as I'm typing this, I keep looking over expecting to see him in his chair. And I miss the $$$ I have to pay for all of this. Let's just say I'll have AT LEAST another 15 reward dollars at the end of this month......

I'll keep you posted on his developments. Thanks for the pixie dust!

I am so sorry to hear your kitty isn't feeling well. much love to him, he certainly is handsome in his picture::yes:: If cats are like people maybe they can give them something to build red blood cells like they can for us:confused3. I hope he is feeling better soon.
I think you'll need the pixiedust: more for those vet bills-youch!

Your hair is very cute, btw, and it does totally compliment your face:thumbsup2

Love your hair!!! You look great!!

I am sending prayers and hugs to you all, hoping Jack will be up and about and feeling better quickly!!

I watched the you tube video and am really surprised about the roof "jump" also! Wow!

Have you not seen the Star Wars Holiday special?:lmao:

Seen it? I own it on DVD. With chapter breaks, no less.

Chapter 3 has got to be among the worst material ever televised. Ten minutes of Wookiees talking to each other. Without subtitles.

But chapter 14 rocks!

Jack update - they have not found any cause for his anemia yet. There are some tests still pending but an abdominal sonogram revealed nothing. :confused3
We're waiting on a callback to discuss the possibilities with the doc.

Just read all 41 pages and am all caught up. Great TR BTW have really enjoyed reading so far :thumbsup2

You looked gorgeous in your dress, so pretty. Looked like you had an amazing wedding day :goodvibes

I love the centre pieces, what an awesome idea. I laughed about the bit where the guests were arguing over who takes one home :lmao:

The hidden mickey on your bouquet was v cool and sweet of your florist to do that.

Loving the Poly pics, we will be staying there for the first time next year and cannot wait. I love the dress you bought from Polynesian Princess?

AK looks really cool at night, I am glad you made it til sunset :)

I must admit that DHS is not my fav park, in Florida or Paris, but we are gonna do our third trip like it is our first ever trip to Disney. Our second one was not so good in that it was so busy and I got v ill for most of it :(

I loved the part where you are on Splash Mountain and the guy sitting with you celebrating his 40th Anni was humming along to the song, so cute :)

I love all the Dis meets, must be really cool to meet the lovely people from the Dis :)

I love the fountain pics in Epcot, v cool. You guys are really photogenic :)

I was sorry to hear about your rental fiasco, what a nightmare. I would have been in tears too if it was me. Lucky your DH was calm and you got everything sorted.

The cruise looks awesome, sorry it wasn't as magical for you. But you look like you are having a blast.

I love love love Buffy and Angel, two of my fav shows ever (next to Alias). Season 3 and 5 of Buffy are my favs and Season 1, 3 & 5 of Angel :cool1:

Your dolphin pics are sooo cool, you must have had a fab time.

How is Jack? I hope he is ok. He looks like such a prince, so cute :)

I hope your kitty will be okay.

We just heard from the doctor. They still don't what causing the anemia. At this point it's either infection, auto-immune disease or something to do with his bone marrow. It's all so confusing to me. The doctor recommended that he stay overnight again, I guess until they get the results. I don't know....

:sad2: :sad1:

Yay Tom!!:cheer2: We also own this quality DVD!

Chapter 3 is indeed dire - I lost the will to live after all the Wookie talk - it was all so domestic - I never imagined Chewbacca living like The Cosby Family.

What about Leia singing :scared1: It's just not right!

Best wishes to Jack :grouphug:

It's been a while since I watched that bit. Next time I have four Boddingtons in me I'll pop it on. The Holiday Special is a bitter pill no matter how much you love the movies.

We just heard from the doctor. One of the tests came back that there is something wrong with the bone marrow so they need to do another test to see exactly what is happening with it. Apparently, there are 3 they are looking for at this point. Either...

1. they will find cancer cells (not good)

2. they will find that the marrow is not producing red blood cells (not good)

3. they will find that the marrow IS producing red blood cells which means that his body is attacking them, some sort of auto-immune disease (best case scenario, can be treated more easily than the other two)

So they are going to do that test today but they won't have the results for a few days. They said we can take him home tomorrow, though.

:sad1:

So sorry to hear that.

At least you can have him with you tomorow :)
