WDW Commando Club

Once again something to add for our next trip:confused3, reading WDW News starting Star War weekends they are adding Build A Droid at The Droid Factory in Tatoonine Traders in HS:cool1:, This is something I know my son will Love:love: I must say I would really like to do one myself:lmao:

This year Disney is really stepping up there game:thumbsup2 seems like every week they add something new:banana:, with all the new things they are coming up with should relieve a little of the crowds on some lines:confused3

I'll have to put the list of all that's new together soon, I'm sure fellow Commandos will have more to add to it:thumbsup2, Once the list is all updated Commandos will have the upper edge by hopefully not just knowing the what, but the where and when also:worship:

I really hope the freeze your face in carbonite works well and they keep it going after Star Wars Weekends, I think it would be really cool having a action figure with your kids face on it, or even your own:rolleyes1

:cool1: got a call today to let me know that the 4 WDW HP's I won at a gift auction about 2 months ago came in, this is why I go to gift auctions, over the last year I went to maybe 6 or 7 gift auctions, won altogether 8 - 1 day HP's with a retail value of over $1000:banana: I might have spent maybe $400-$500 total for all the gift auctions + won at least anther $1000 of miscellenous prizes (mostly things to do this summer:good vibes), I'm ahead for the year for about $1500

If you have gift auctions where you live, it might be worth it to check out some of them, just winning tickets to places you might not go normally certainly makes for a interesting summer:thumbsup2

1) :welcome: to the COMMANDO Club
2) I HAVE to steal that saying - if it's ok with you...
"mind your own mickey ice-cream sandwich!"

Hiya, Thank you for the welcome, and please feel free to use that particular zinger whenever you feel the need! :goodvibes

It's just so much fun to plan. Welcome.

:woohoo: They are beautiful words, and so wonderful to read them from someone else other than me! :cutie:

:welcome: You are Member #197:cool1: You won't get ridiculed here for wanting to plan a full day:banana: I think the main reason we get ridiculed is people mock what they do not understand:confused3

Yayy! Thank you.... <edits all spreadsheets and planning journals with new membership number> I feel like singing that song from Splash - "every body has a laughing place, a laughing place... etc etc"

I am literally in compulsive planning mode at the moment. It is the only thing getting me through the day.

Does anyone else ever worry that "aaalllll this planning is for such a short trip and it will be over in no time"? I sometimes get upset that I will have to come home again, waay before I've even arrived at WDW. Starting to wonder how my brain actually functions lol

Rachel pixiedust:

I've never thought about returning. Somehow, I hope I win the lottery or Disney hires me for a job for a bazillion dollars and I won't have to leave. Once I joined DVC, I had a whole new spreadsheet on how to use my points.

I went to AAA today and found out you can cancel a trip 45 prior to trip, with that I booked Nov 4-10, by booking I pretty much changed the odds of going that week from 50/50 to 95/5:thumbsup2

So now I have back to back WDW trips + 2 Williamsburg VA trips to plan out, talk about a full plate:banana:

These are the ADR's I'm going for tomorrow, 1 can be changed if Be Our Guest is open by then

- Ohana's
- Whispering Canyon
- T-Rex
- Bongos Cuban Cafe
- Le Cellar
- Teppen Edo

I got to figure out tonight where what day, also have to book the AAA Storytime & Firework viewing, Oh and of course a haircut at Harmony Barbershop

Should have everything booked by 10am tomorrow:thumbsup2

but I didn't know we started a Club! (but I also been offline for awhile)
My name is Wendy aka Mamudduck and yes, I am a Disney Commando!

My commando behavior is exclusively reserved for WDW & other travels...in other words, during normal life I'm not "type A, control-freak, uber organized, detail planning, get up early and start running" person. I think that's why it comes as such a shock to people when I transform into "Mrs.Hyde"pixiedust:

A few years ago DD (13 at the time), said I had to stop referring it myself as a commando because she didn't want that picture in her head..
Count me in I always walk around the park without undergarments.
so she calls me "the drill Sargent" now.

What I love to do is take newbies to WDW with me, the real reason is so I get to be commando and use the excuse "well I just wanted to make sure you got to see everything, and experience all the magic";)
And I always warn anyone going with me "WDW is not a vacation, it is an adventure...like climbing Mt. Everest!" :hyper: I think there's always time to do nothing when I get back to work:surfweb:

So now I'm back on Dis, planning the next trip...my dream trip- AKL 7nights, given as a gift, DDP , Sept 29-Oct 6 :cool1:

:welcome: You are Member #199:cool1: I totally agree with your quote of "well I just wanted to make sure you got to see everything, and experience all the magic" What a lot of guests do not understand is although WDW is full of Magic, it does not always just appear, you have to know what to look for and know where it might be, basically sometimes you have to bring the magic to you:thumbsup2, I'm amazed in the parks sometimes on how many people just walk by Magic happening right in front of them and they don't even know it:rotfl2:

One thing I'm a bit concerned with was the lack of park hours & night EMH's in Nov, the week I'll be there the latest MK is open till is 8:confused3 The only 2 EMH's at night so far that week is HS till 10 & Epcot till 12, other then those 2 it looks like as of now we would be back at the resort by 9:scared1: I really hope they add some major hours or I might have to sleep at night:mad:

That is too early for MVMCP. I wonder what's going on. Is that jersey week?

When WE were 13 it didn't mean that!;)

So I told DD(now 17) that I was officially WDW Commando member #199- Her reply "OMG-that many people go naked butt at WDW!" hehe

You know you're still cool when you can freak out your teenager!

Terrific. We all need to make up our own shirts with the phrase ,"time to go commando" and include our member #. That would turn a lot of heads.

Works for me, nice to see someone with a sense of humor like mine:thumbsup2:thumbsup2. You could do it with a bleach pen and fabric paint so that people wouldn't notice it until they looked real close. A couple of years ago, I bought DH and I matching Grumpy shirts. On the back of mine I put "Grumpy's Wife", using this technique, and people who did notice it were killing themselves laughing:lmao::lmao:. The technique is also good for the spiral MMH design that was on the DISign board a while ago. Have had a lot of fun playing with it with excellent results.

That's a real neat method I hadn't thought of. And, fairly inexpensive. I was thinking about going thru zazzle with some type of Donald Duck picture, since he isn't wearing underwear, to really hit home that double entendre.

I'm not sure Disney management would approve that design. As you said, depends on their sense of humor that day.

:thumbsup2-Love it! I going to try and find something that'll work.

Good work Commando on all your ressie's- I'm still trying to score LeCellier for lunch in early Oct.
BTW- which is the best TS restaurant for watching MK fireworks outside of MK?
