WDW Commando Club

Yes, it looks like we will be making a mad dash to Rapunzel! We are starting off Monday AM at MK and if I am reading schedules right, MK opens at 9 that day and it sounds like the first Rapunzel show is 9:15 so at least we won't have to stand in line from an early opening hour until 9:15.

I'm wondering if we should splinter off and send one parent to the site for the princess M&G for a FP while the other one makes a beeline for Rapunzel; that way we could knock out all these lovely ladies our first morning. (PP, I'd love to do Akershaus! We are hoping to make a return trip during a Free Dining period so we can do some character meals; unfortunately, we missed out on that for this trip since it's so last-minute. The challenge for this trip is to see how far we can stretch that $200 gift card we got for signing up for the Disney Visa! Who wants to eat in the Orlando heat, anyway? :)

So should we make our first FP the Princesses or a Fantasyland ride? Which one would be an easier FP to get later on in the morning? We'd probably aim for Peter Pan or Pooh, although if I know my daughter, we are not going to be able to get on anything before we ride that magnificent carousel. And frankly, she will probably be so starstruck after Rapunzel that we might just have to sit down and just look at our surroundings for a while. We will have another day at the MK to rush to the rides if need be.

BTW, i love the suggestion that DH go back at night to experience some thrill stuff on his own. Now i just have to make sure he's experiencing the rides and not the princesses...:rotfl:

Sending your DH off for a FP while your waiting is a good idea:cool1: now as far as what one to get:confused3, I'm not sure how the FP for the Princesses works ( are there 2 lines, reg & FP or is it FP only :confused3)

- Peter Pan always a huge line, I would pick this for a FP over Winnie the Pooh

For the Carousel, try to get Cinderellas Horse, it is in the 2nd row, it has a gold ribbon on it's tail:cool1: After I confirmed that that was her horse with a CM she told me the one next to it on the outside was Prince Charmings:goodvibes

party: Another hour and I'll be in the double digits (99) till next trip, seemed like it took forever:confused3

Hi Commandos!! It's 15 days til my trip!!! I've been lurking on this thread since my last post here but after my sister flip flopping back and forth about whether she was gonna end up going or not....she finally made her final payment 2 days before it was due! She claims she's up for touring with me and my kids and getting up for RDs at the parks and all....guess I'll see how that goes as her and her husband are not morning people at all.

Me and my kids are flying after all (I was gonna drive but they were insisting on going only to drive us cuz she doesn't think I can get there without being the object of a serial killer....:sad2:) and we'll get there a few hours earlier than if we had driven so that works out well!

I'm trying to figure out the best way to fit the Princesses into our MK day since I have 2 nieces that will love seeing them!! Plus the new Star Tours will be open!!! I can't wait!!! :cool1: :cheer2:

I'm taking it your parents are not going now:confused3

I wish I was going within the next month, I'd love to catch one of the Star War weekends:darth::yoda:, I hear alot of cool stuff goes on during them, will you be there on a weekend:confused3

The Princesses, I would grab a FP and go back, unless you get there 1st thing in the A.M. and can get in & out:confused3

No, my mom came to her senses and decided not to go but only after she bought us airfare! She still refuses to take the entire amount of the tickets back when I've tried repaying her!

It looks like your trip has really shaped up nice:cool1:, your parents are staying home, sister will do your way of planning, Star Wars weekend, plus saving time by flying (maybe even saving money on gas:confused3) I'd say it worked into a sweet deal:goodvibes

Let's try doing some meets at WDW (pic & Handshake) out of 155 Commandos I'm sure there will be more than one at WDW most weeks:confused3, So post when you are going and let's see if someone else will be there the same time, maybe you can meet up, and post pic when you get back:goodvibes

I'll start off I will be at WDW August 21-27

Meet and Greet: December 4th - 10th :thumbsup2 (After our one week Carnival Cruise ;) Going to WDW after to walk off all that weight we will probably gain on the cruise!)

Anybody Else?

We will be there from 8/9-8/18.

In case anyone is interested I have room for 3 more people in our Illuminations Cruise on 8/15.

We'll be there June 24-July 1, and would be happy to do a meet if our schedule matches up with anyone else.

Well I ran into my 1st planning snag:eek:, They have a new lunch at The Animal Kingdom Lodge - Dine With Animal Specialists : An Untamed Touch:cool1: It is in a Trial period and they only do it on Weds, limmited to 12 people total.

We have a 8am ADR at 1900 Park Fare, A 10am ressie at Epcot for AAA storytime, off to Seaworld, Late dinner at T-Rex Cafe, and DTD for the rest of the night:scared1:

Any other day of the week I could pull it off, but since I already have prime ressies and promised my wife & son we would go to Seaworld this year again since we skipped it last year (have SP), I hope they expand the days a bit (I'll be on it like white on rice:lmao:) otherwise I'll have to wait till next June, If they still have it:confused3
