Meet up with fellow WDW Commando (and Dis Dad) #84 Cinderella's Fella (Randall) & his family at the Philly Zoo today He is a great guy with a awesome family It was like we all knew each other for years, had a Great time Look forward to future meets

We are planning to try and get a combined meet with area WDW Commando's & also The Dis Dads at the zoo in Sept or Oct, it should be a great time

We will keep everyone up to date on this, and hope we can make a successful non-Disney meet where everyone can have some fun

The Zoo was great and a fun place to meet up. Thank you Ron, for meeting us, we all had a great time.

Another DISNEY COMMANDO reporting for duty SIR!!! I'm currently planning 2 trips at the same time, one to DL at the end of Sept (an unfortunate accident, was at a seminar at a local TA for WDW and ended up winning a 3 night stay at the Hilton Anaheim!), and WDW for Christmas 2014. The WDW trip would have been for late Aug/2014, but the DL trip delayed the saving for a couple of months. Very unfortunate if you ask me. I'm more excited about planning the WDW trip than the DL trip at the moment, as our family was just there in Feb/11 for 2 weeks, and didn't want to go back (a burned out DL vet). My DH depends on me being the Commando leading up to the trips, organizing and planning everything to the minute, then he and the kids take over the Commando position (I become the second in Command) and go flat out in the parks. We got back on June 5th from our week at The World! It was my first do-it-myself commando trip and even though I wore myself out, I LOVED IT!! I'm working on my TR, but in a nutshell, I got all my must dos done and much more! I made the mistake of waiting for my sis and her family in the mornings that they were there and missed rope drop (got there right at park opening time instead of early like I planned) but once they left, hit a couple rope drops and park hopped til we dropped!! All I know is I most likely never tour WDW without a commando plan again! AND......I also will not invite my sister and her family again.....or atleast not wait for them anymore.

You are member #157 I was kinda wondering why you would call that a unfortunate accident, but I think I figured it out, it is for a 3 night stay at the Hilton only I can see why you would feel this way since it will take funding away from WDW trip

Glad you had a GREAT Trip I guess you are now on Vacation I'm looking forward to reading your TR, one of our next years trips will be durining Star War Weekends so I have some ?'s you might be able help out on

Yes it was unfortunate in the sense that I won hotel only in DL, and have to cough up air, transfers, Mickey's Halloween tickets, hopper passes and travel money in general that I would have applied to the WDW trip. It cost's us double the cost to go to WDW, since we live on the Wet Coast, and it takes us longer to get there. Since my younger DS7 has been recently diagnosed with a pretty major learning disorder, have decided to target the last 2 weeks of Aug/2014, so that he doesn't get to miss any school. Might be a challenge, but as DH says (after snickering about the short period of time for planning the current DL trip) that I'm up to the challenge (may have to plot revenge on him in DL!). Kids don't know about the current trip, since I fooled them big time over the Feb trip to DL, and am planning on doing the same with this one. They'll never trust me again. I can't help it, I've got a wildly artistic and devious side to me, and love plotting against the kids. Have a great day!

Our Saturday at DHS for SWW was my FAVORITE day! Used a couple tips from other DISers but apparently I should have opted to get there even earlier! We arrived about 8:15 and they had already let people in atleast 20 mins or more before that! By 8:25 we barely made the 4:45 sign up for Jedi Training! On the bright side, we got a 10:40 FP for TSM and rode it standby in a 20 min line before 9am! I was sad though because I misunderstood the celebrity autograph process and missed out on Ray Parks (the guy who played Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace)

Ok Commandos.....Who else is already planning their 2012 trip? I am!!! I've already made a list of ADRs for next summer!!!

I am guilty of this We haven't taken this years trip but I've been already starting to plan next years, Just last night I was pricing the new AOA Resort that will open May 30,2012, we are going in the middle of June, The only snag is only the Finding Nemo section will be open at this time all suites, It was $345 a nite (room only) I just can't justify spending the cash on a Resort that only 1/4 will be open, We are hoping to also be going in Nov 2012 so maybe AOA will be in the cards since it should be done by then
