its the red text halfway down the page.

ALERT: -- All four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney and Disney’s Wide World of Sports will not open Monday (Disney cast members should contact their Cast Hotlines or their leaders for information about their schedule for Monday) --

They are looking at opening the parks (or at least one or two of them) later in the afternoon, they have advised CM's that are scheduled to close to call their parks hotline # prior to coming in as they may be needed. It all depends on how fast the storm moves through and how much of the storm affects the property and surrounding area.

The local news is reporting CLOSED TOMORROW, nothing about late openings. . .

I just called the cast hotline for the MK..........it's 8:30 pm Sunday........the recording said "Buisness as usual".

Who knows.

Yes the news is reporting closed because there is no guarantee that it will open at all...it depends on how fast the storm moves through and what effects the property and surrounding area have. Hubby is at MK right now, just finishing up his shift and they have told them that they are looking into a late opening (at least for the resort guests) and that if they are scheduled to close they need to check in tomorrow afternoon, not just assume that they are off as they will do what they can to get the park open if it is at all possible. I am just going by what management has been telling the CM's as they are leaving tonight :)

Mike... I don't think that the hotline has been update in sometime... The Epcot one is still reporting from 3:30pm. The MK one doesn't have a time stamp on it that I heard anyway.

>>>Walt Disney World Resort
All four Walt Disney World theme parks will not open Monday morning.

Due to the potential of tropical storm force winds associated with Hurricane Wilma, all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney and Disney’s Wide World of Sports will not open tomorrow morning, Monday, October 24.

Weather permitting, Walt Disney World may reopen one or more theme parks after the storm passes on Monday to entertain the tens of thousands of Guests currently staying in our resort hotels.

All resort hotels will remain open, though Guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground have been relocated to other hotels on property.

Walt Disney World Resort has an extensive hurricane preparedness plan and is staffed and prepared for a realm of possible impacts that this type of weather could have on our property.<<<<

>>>>Disney to close
Disney has decided to close all its parks Monday. But they're leaving open the possibility that they will reopen:

Weather permitting, Walt Disney World may reopen one or more theme parks after the storm passes on Monday to entertain the tens of thousands of Guests currently staying in our resort hotels.

Disney is asking its cast members to report to work by 7 a.m. to avoid winds. Read on for more.

Due to the potential of tropical storm force winds associated with Hurricane Wilma, all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney and Disney’s Wide World of Sports will not open tomorrow morning, Monday, October 24.

We have made this decision in an abundance of caution based on information from the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center and local emergency preparedness officials, all of whom currently expect the storm to pass more than 100 miles south of the resort.

All resort hotels will remain open, though Guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground have been relocated to other hotels on property.

All Cast Members scheduled to work Monday morning at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Walt Disney World Resort hotels and the Disney Reservation and Call Centers should report to their work locations no later than 7 a.m. to avoid stronger winds expected later in the morning. All other Cast Members should contact their Cast Hotlines or their leaders for information about their schedule for Monday. <<<<<

Just read the Sentinal article. Also, checked a few weather sources -- looks like there's a chance sustained winds will be around 25mph with the occassional 50 mph gust...all sources are saying that by 4 or 5pm, rain will have stopped and winds calmed. So, it does make sense that MK might reopen for resort guests.
