So, I was excited to plan our May trip in earnest once the Canadian travel testing was dropped - but now I see that WDW is back to 2-29 days for partial refunds on packages. I thought it was 24hrs but I guess that was just during the height of C19? Now with US entry testing being 1 day - if you tested positive you couldn't cancel and get a refund at all. Room-only reservations are even worse - they're 5 days. Trip cancellation insurance only offers partial refunds as well and it's a lot more expensive than interruption insurance. *sigh*

You can always do a rapid test at home a few days before.

And if you tested positive and called Disney they may let you reschedule. They have worked with people in the past.

That's what our initial plan was - but what happens if we test positive on the official test the day before? Still screwed.

If you call Disney they are very likely to accommodate you (let you move your reservation) . No guarantees of course.
