WDW Boat System Map

When you check-in, if you are on-site you will get a transportation map with all the transportation options including boat. If you are off site you will probably only be interested in the boat that takes you from the TTC to the MK otherwise you can just drive to the park. There are several boat's within the transportation system - to many for me to type right now, sorry:(

If that's not helpful perhaps you can let us know where you would like to take a boat to/from!

Thanks for your reply!

I will have to dig out my maps and guides from our previous trips.
I may have the handout from 2000.

Is the Boat Transportation Map available on line anywhere?

I am not sure where exactly we want to go.
We have several "No Park" days in our plan and a boat ride to say, DTD instead of driving or bus would be different.

In 1997 we took the Boat from Dixie Landings to DTD...

Thanks Again!

Walt Disney World boat transportation is concentrated around three areas: Bay Lake & The Seven Seas Lagoon, the Epcot Resorts and Studios, and the Downtwon Disney resort area.

Boats will still take you from Port Orleans (French Quarter), Port Orleans Riverside (formerly Dixie Landings), and Old Key West to/from Downtown Disney.

Another boat route is from the Studios, to Swan/Dolphin, Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, Boardwalk, and finally Epcot's International Gateway entrance - in that order (reverse the sequence to go from Epcot to the Studios).

Over on Bay Lake, boats operate from Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary; a seperate boat goes from the Lodge and campground to the Magic Kingdom. On the Seven Seas Lagoon, you of course have the MK to TTC ferryboat, but also smaller craft that run between the Magic Kingdom and The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian Resort.

Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and all of the value resorts are effectively landlocked - no boat service (except small rental craft around any resort lakes, where they exist).

1. Where exactly is the International Gateway and the boat launch located in Epcot?
2. Where is the boat launch located in MGM?
3. How long does the boat take to get from the International Gateway to Yacht and Beach Club, specifically Beaches and Cream? Would it be faster to walk?
4. How long does iit take to get from the Studios to Epcot?
Thanks for any information/suggestions you can provide.!

Figment27, to answer your questions ---

1. The International Gateway is located between the UK pavillion and the bridge that goes over to the France pavillion.

2. The boat launch at MGM is located outside the main gate. If you go out of the park, go to the left. It's pretty well-marked and you should find it easily.

3. IMO, it's faster to walk from the IG to B&C than to take the boat. The dock for the Yacht and Beach Clubs is the first stop for the Friendship boats, and if you have to wait for a boat you could easily walk at least half the distance to Beaches & Cream.

4. I believe the boat ride from MGM to Epcot is approx. 25 minutes, give or take 5 minutes. Probably all depends on how many people get on and off at each of the stops.

If you leave from Epcot, the BW is the first stop, then YC/BC. Then S/D. Finally, Disney Studios. Then reverse this to go back to Epcot.

The boat dock at YC/BC is closer to the YC than BC. Walking from Epcot to the BC is so easy, less than 10 minutes.

Whoops. :o Sorry about the misinformation (it's been two years since I've been). Thanks for the correction, Deb. :)
