Where's the best (cheapest) place to get DisneyWorld APs in Canada?

We're going down at Christmas, and have booked everything already so we don't need vouchers in hand for AP discounts or anything.

With the currency up pretty high, is it best just to buy them when we're down there? There's still a Disney store in Calgary, so we could buy there as well.

I believe the only place you can get them now is from DisneyWorld. You can get vouchers ahead of time from their website and exchange them when you get there. There is no real advantage to getting them ahead if your not using it for discounts like the ap rates or DDE.

I usually just pick mine up as soon as I arrive at the airport. You can buy them at the Disney Store. They're a little slow, on average it's taken me about 15 minutes. I've found that Guest Relations in Downtown Disney is much faster. You can also call Disney ahead of time to get an AP voucher which you trade in at the parks or Guest Relations for an AP.

Currently there are no official discounts off of the price of Disney annual passes except to Disney Vacation Club members and except for the 10% discount when you renew your annual pass for another year (membership is continuous).

If a local store offered a discount, that would be an isolated limited time store promotional offer. I don't know where to find one.

I called and had them sent to me. Don't know whether you want AP or premium AP .... I have tried a couple of times to order APs on the web but when you identify yourself as a CDN, they will only sell you a premium pass which I didn't want.

I have another slightly off-original OP topic question, we just purchased MyW tickets for our Dec trip, they are probably in the mail as we speak, but DH and I just decided (today) to travel in Oct 2006...so an AP would be a better deal. Would it make sense to take the MyW ticket to Disney in December and get it upgraded to an AP? I assume it is our only option since we already have the tickets coming to us in the mail somewhere, or can we call Disney to try to work it out? If we can't work it out before we go in Dec, where can you do the AP upgrade from MyW tickets at WDW?
