WDW 1/2 55% Full(1/28)

Stacie, my fellow Team7mate!

I keep changing what I want to tell you, but here's the bottom line--

Disney races are so much fun. When I was walking to the buses from the Minnie 15k with my medal around my neck, the main thing I was thinking besides "could this medal be any cooler?!" was "a half is four miles longer... I can totally do that!"

I think I'd sign up for the half just so you aren't walking to the bus thinking "man, I should have signed up for the half!" (And remember, the Minnie is cool because you go through Epcot and MGM, but the half takes you through MK and there is nothing better, IMO!)

Thanks Robert. If I send in our times from a race with the app and DH is put into a corral ahead of me can he drop down to mine on his own or would we have to ask them to do this at the expo?

Thanks!

He can just enter the "slower" chute at the race. Only if you want to move up do you do that at Runners Relations at the Expo.

And just to verify, if we have a faster qualifying time than what we sent in before the race we can mail that in?

Up to a point that is true. EMMI stops accepting them around a couple of months before the race as they try to set everyone up. Worst case scenerio, just bring to expo.

Oh my gosh, I don't know what to do. I was going to mail out the application this Friday when I got paid (DVC discount) but I don't know if it is worth the $5 and should I just sign up online.

AHHHH!

Where does it say it is over half full? I looked on the website and it doesn't say anything. Of course I could be blind ;)

Thanks! Of course that was the one link I didn't click on - go figure

Do you think I could still mail it out on Friday and still be able to get in, the race application?

I mailed in my application today!! There is no turning back now. Hopefully it won't fill up before they get it though.

I mailed mine in today, too. I also put my Minnie 15K registration in the mail today, too, so I guess it is official. Now, i just need to add some half-marathon 2009 bling to my siggy.

All of you are safe that mailed in the apps today. It will take a couple more months for the 1/2 to fill. Remember that 3500 + Goofy runners are taking up some of the 1/2 spots.

Good training:thumbsup2

That's good to know! I was hoping to register in March ... so that I can balance my budget out a little bit. :goodvibes

How do I get the DVC discount? I am a DVC'r, but did not see where or how to get a discount. I'm still deciding on whether to do the 1/2 or not, but if I do I would like to take advantage of any little savings that's available. :goodvibes

UltraMickeyMouse, Thanks, I printed out the registration form......now I have to make the decision of whether I can fit this in to our scheduling (and budget) or not.

Did I read we get a postcard confirmation? How long does it usually take to get it after you mail out your app? We'll still get the emails and newsletters although we mailed our app in instead of doing it online, correct?

Thanks!

I am not home so can't check postmarks but I think we got our Goofy confimation postcards about 1-2 months after reg. You still get all the emails and newletters as everyone else does if you provided an email address.
