Morning people...

don't ask why I'm awake... cause I don't know either... :rotfl:

actually fell asleep before midnight last night... miracles...

but now I have to go crash again... meds... :sad2:

Ginamarie... we're all pulling for you!!! :grouphug:

Shell, one of the effects of the March 1st government cut backs is that disability checks will be postponed indefinitely. I'm not happy about that because I just got set up with all my medical and they deduct it from my check that I'm not getting. I don't know what's going to happen to my medical coverage now.

I hope they do something to settle this sooner rather than later.

So John got his first statement informing him of his first pension direct deposit amount. They deducted $2000 for healthcare insurance. John didn't elect to have healthcare coverage by them. They said they automatically enroll you in it if you don't sign a waiver. They said they mailed the form to our house in November. We never got it. So we spent the afternoon correcting the error. We'll get a check mailed to us in about a week from now. Meanwhile, we had to pay our mortgage and there wasn't a whole lot of money left after that deduction so we had to scramble to put together enough money to cover the mortgage payment. We will be eating pasta for the next week until we get that check and it clears our bank. Talk about a panic attack.

Now I find out that I won't be getting my disability check this month or next depending on how long Washington politics continue. This is the wrong time to mess with my money. I need it to get ready for my move. This may delay us. I hope not, but I'm not sure what is going to happen now. :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Tyler is going to flip out. When are you going to tell him? Does he have to wait for his birthday to find out? How will you keep it a secret from him? You're going to have a blast!!!

He has to wait until his birthday because he doesn't handle anticipation well. His anxiety level goes through the roof and has a horrible time coping for about 2 weeks before whatever's going to happen. He will have enough anxiety with the big change of end of the school year approaching, so I can't add to that. I will tell him in the morning when he wakes up for school! :) The night before, his birthday, I will tell him he'll get his present from me the next day. Maybe I'll wrap up pictures of the resort and of the park so he at least has something to open.

Deb, I'm so sorry you're having all these money issues :( the government makes everything so complicated for no good reason! I hope everything works out in the next couple of weeks so you can get back on track.

Holly- that sounds like a great way to surprise Tyler!

Just another Friday here- kids have a half day at school and then I have to return Olivia's Cheerleading uniform (they are finally collecting them even though we finished the season in Nov) and pick up her "trophy." I just need to dignity the uniform from the bottom of her dresser! Otherwise, I'm finishing some work projects and trying not to stress. I found a hotel with Priceline- not as close as I would have wanted, but we can just take a taxi uptown. Oh, and I went to a fundraiser for the school last night and bought the coolest sweater for cruising! It's a white crochet "circle sweater" and exactly what I plan to wear while sitting out on our balcony in the evening. Those are the happy thoughts that will get me through the next week!

What is a circle sweater and when is the cruise?

.

Jan- the sweater is actually sewn into a big circle so that the bottom and the sides are rounded in shape. It's really awesome! I'll take a pictures when the order comes in :) we are cruising on Freedom of the Seas this August and the Magic Transatlantic next year.

We sailed Freedom of the Seas for special birthday, but it was a huge ship and I disliked it at first, so my husband took me to walked around and it was very nice ship... Good foods and we love Promenade too.. but something missing is Magic Ship... I like Magic best.

Kids loved FS and said that swimming pools was awesome also good band there every day... We had a huge back balcony and it was lovely but not much to see sunset:confused3

I don't know if we sail again with freedom but Ian said he would love to...
