Hi Ian!!! :goodvibes

You've got emu!

Hey Ian... is that the Royal Bird of Freedonia??? He looks pissed... better feed him better next time.:rotfl:

So I was sitting upstairs reading the Dis when I hear Matt screaming "No Chrissy, NO!!", over and over again. I of coarse was concerned and rushed to see what happened. SHe had opened the pantry and brought a bag of muffin mix downstairs where Matt was and was trying to open it. When he started yelling at her she meowed back. :rotfl: I told him she just wanted some muffins! Also while I was at work today he said she got a box of chicken broth out and ripped it open and was carrying cookies around the house. We feed her, I don't know why she wants to eat our food too.:lmao: I of coarse was laughing so hard I was crying. I couldn't yell at her as she was loving on me and meowing. We are getting something to lock the pantry soon.

Did I scare everybody away? Deb, are you all unpacked?[/COLOR]

Ummm......nope. I have a bag of laundry to do and then I'll put the clean clothes back into the suitcase for next vacation. I won't be wearing any of them until then. I'll clean them again before repacking for the next trip and I'll be ready. Hey, it works for me.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy Saturday everybody!

Deb - glad to hear your home and a gain of 4lbs if fantastic for a 10day vacation!

Thanks Shannon, it's not too bad. I can start fresh again on Monday and really be strict again and it'll work. I should be able to lose the weight gain quickly enough.:yay: :yay:

It's mighty quiet around here.

We were bored this afternoon so we took a walk. We were out for over 2 hours. I looked at my pedometer and I did about 13,900 steps, so I guess we did a fair bit of walking.

The weather has turned a bit nippy, but not too bad, a fairly warm 52F.

Another early night for me. I've got my three WW meetings in the morning.

Luckily, I'm feeling much better, although I'm still coughing, my throat is not as sore as it was.
------

Deb - will you be posting more photos from your vacation?

Sorry Ian, we didn't take that many more than what I have already posted. I guess that's what happens when you're not with Cheri. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey, did someone call my name??????

I am, after all, the OFFICIAL photographer...Kelly said so!

Here's the latest installment of Cheri's Car Saga:

I had my car all loaded up yesterday afternoon for a whirlwind 24 hour trip--drive to Sedona, with a Costco load (including produce) for a family birthday party at 4:30, after the party drive down to Scottsdale, spend the night, this morning drive further south to Casa Grande for the funeral of a family friend at 10 a.m. and then drive home.

So I'm leaving the Costco parking lot to go home and get my stuff and leave town....and my "check tire pressure" light comes on. OK, I head out & stop at a gas station on the way to check all my tires. Sure enough, one is quite low so I air it up. But wait, the light is still on! I call the dealer and they tell me I'd better bring the car in. So I say one of the dumber things that's ever come out of my mouth...I say I can't because I'm on my way to Sedona and I'm running late. Then I ask, do you think there might be something wrong? Duh...well, yeah, one of my tires is losing air. Ok, so I turn around and drive back to town (30 min. in the opposite direction), get there right before they close, they check my tires and I have a nail in the sidewall of one of them (not covered by warranty, naturally) and here's the kicker...they don't keep that size of tire in stock so they have to order it--it'll be in on Tuesday, and oh, it's too bad you didn't buy the road hazard warranty on your tires, blah, blah. But....they did let me have a loaner!:cool1: A 2007 Accord--it was like driving my old car!

So I move everything into the loaner car and get on the road about 5:30, arrive at the party at 6:30 (2 hrs. late), deliver the produce and other Costco stuff, have my cold dinner and visit a little and then about 8:30 head out for Scottsdale, get there about 10:30. Get to sleep about midnight and I'm sleeping out in the guest house since my nephew was having a friend sleep over and I couldn't sleep in his room where I usually sleep. Everything was great until about 6:30 a.m. when the two little boys come bounding into the guest house...because that's where the new Wii is and they came out to play...along with the dog!:rotfl2: (have I mentioned I'm NOT a morning person???)

Oh well...I left about 8:30, drove down to the funeral (about an hour south of Phoenix), was there a couple of hours, and then drove back home.

And I really missed my Civic! I was pretty bummed that I couldn't drive it on this trip, but then I tried to look on the bright side--I put the miles on their car and not mine.

Long day...I'm glad to be home! I don't know if I'll be able to catch up...maybe I'll just call Jackie and ask her to fill me in on the important stuff!;) But that will have to wait 'till tomorrow....

Zzzzzzzzzz.....

Cheri,

I just don't know about you and your car juju. I think we need to do a psychic cleansing!

I bought about 37,000 additional warranties with the Smart Car. One of them was road hazard, primarily because it has such non-standard tires and I assumed having tires replaced at a Mercedes dealer might run a tad expensive.

My new car gadget is an electronic tire pressure gauge. My biggest problem with mechanical gauges is I can't read them. I never have been able to read them. This one allowed me to store the pressure for the front and rear wheels and has a HUGE electronic display. A plus was also that it was quite cheap.

Did you ever manage to make it to Costco? Inquiring minds want to know, nay, need to know!

I am off to lead my WW meetings. I hope attendance is good. The economy has been having an impact.

Wow, you sure are busy! Glad you didn't try to make the drive with that tire, bummer you were so late, but it's more important that you were safe.

Hi Tammy......those of us who don't live in the warm climates have to pack the summer stuff away anyhow....why not pack it into a suitcase and be on the ready for another adventure.
:cool1:

Glad you're feeling a little bit better Ian. Enjoy your meetings today.

Glad you're safe and sound Cheri......at least you got the loaner and you didn't get stuck on the road. It could have been a lot worse.
