Thanks Michelle for that info. I'll try the Domaine Chandon next time.

I had a member return today after being away for 6 months. She had made excellent progress and had lost over 30 pounds, but then she "plateaued."

I'm very happy she came back, however, she gained back the 30 pounds. She told me that she wished she had stayed and continued, because although she wasn't losing, she wasn't gaining.

This is why my sister Dianne has stayed with WW for years. She's said it has saved her from gaining during the stressful times. So while it looks like she has only lost 'x' number of pounds over a long peiord, what has really happened is she hasn't put on 40 or 50.

I get a lunch out today (and it's getting a little late for lunch) and I think I'll have a nice Subway turkey sandwich and some baked chips for my treat. While I've still had some salty crunchy cravings I have had NO sugar cravings this week. A couple of the B-MD snacks are chocolate flavored and seem to be doing the trick in that department!

bettter head out and get that sandwich.......

I know but it is silly to spend more money when I think it isn't any better. I love one of Pierre Perignon's famous sayings "Come quickly, I am drinking stars". I had to edit because I messed it up the first time.

I'm actually drinking Domaine Michelle right now :lmao: A step down for sure. We bought it for hibiscuses and now I'm just drinking it straight because we ran out of cranberry juice :rolleyes1

Subway is a treat? I eat that when I'm being good :lmao: I only crave sweets when I am dieting :confused3

:rotfl2: I'm folding laundry while Tyler takes his bath and he just called me in to see something......he has his pirate ship in dry dock to be painted and has it rigged up so it's above the water and all dried off with a towel. :lmao: Kids crack me up!

He is too inventive. He makes my kids seem like dummies :lmao:

Oh bull! All kids are creative! :goodvibes

I can't remember either of my kids being like that. They did just pull out Ethan's Thomas train from when he was like three and made a track on the kitchen floor. Does that count :lmao:

OK, time to go drag Tyler out of the tub so we can have the ice cream I promised him. Not good, I know, but we did a lot of walking today, and lots of hard playing at the park yesterday, so I think it's OK. I'm having Mint Moose Tracks and he picked Double Vanilla. His is a low calorie kind and it tastes just like vanilla pudding! It's the most vanilla I've ever tasted! Yummy! :goodvibes

I think we have spoke of this before. I guess it never happened. I know others would be thrilled as well. I really need recipes that are good and filling. The work involved doesn't bother me. I just need them to be good tasting. I'm lucky because I am not too picky.

I would be one of those that would be thrilled. I need some motivation.

Tomorrow is our anniversary and we just picked up a bottle of Korbel. Now we have our plastic champagne glasses to use.

I'm trying Korbel for the first time because you like it and drink it. So I'll let you know what I think after tomorrow.

Cheers!

DEB AND JOHN

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
  :flower3: :flower3:

Hope you have a great day! Sounds like you've been having a great trip so far. I can't wait for my turn to come in 4 weeks :cool1:

I have another member who was struggling and seemed to be going up and down the same 2 pounds. Last week suddenly she started to go down again. What's important is that while it might have been frustrating, she didn't give up.

I sometimes think about it like a journey. I'm sure many of us have started out for a destination and have gotten lost. I'm also sure many people then would just give up and go home.

Thank you Ian.
This could describe me. I am the up 3 down 2, up 1 plateaued situation. And I have been contemplating not going to meetings. (Kind of the "why am I bothering" self talk). Thank you for sharing. I needed to hear this.

OK, now I'm on a roll ....

We also sometimes get very hung up on the result from weekly weigh-ins. The reality is that the scale will always (eventually) follow the behavior.

Overly focusing on what the scale tells us each week, might not be the best sign of what's going on.

Look at the following picture by Seurat (Sunday on the Island of Grand Jatte):

seurat-jatte-dots-microdeta.jpg

It doesn't tell us much, does it?

But what happens when we take a step back and look at the big picture?

A-Sunday-Afternoon-on-th-01.jpg

Suddenly the picture emerges.

I think that it is often important to take a step back and look at what the big picture tells us about progress. The big picture may show that the trend is in the desired downward direction ... something that may get lost standing too close and looking at the results of a particular week.

.

Isn't this the picture that inspired "Sunday in the Park with George?"

Thanks for point out the big picture. :goodvibes
