Barnes. I'd never think he'd get teased for it, but I guess it's true that kids will find ANYTHING to tease about! A girl started it by saying, "HA HA, Tyler Barnes, lives in a barn!" I told him to say, "HA HA, you don't!" :rotfl2: It's such a stupid response, it might confuse her enough to shut her up for a minute!

But, my best friend's 6th grade son told me the solution is simple. She likes him. Apparently it start that young. I had no idea. Good grief, I'm not ready for this drama.

Count on it only getting worse the older he gets......!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

They get teased for everything. Brooke's friend gave her a dress that she LOVED and she wore it today. Another girl came up to her and said "Katie had that dress last year and now you have it". I never even thought to worry about hammy downs at this age. I think she only wore it a few times because she didn't like the way it felt. I feel so bad for Brooke because she really likes it :sad2:
Aw, that's so sad. You could tell Booke to tell the other girl, "Yeah I know she had it last year and I liked it so much my mom bought me one just like it!" But I know it's hard to think of what to say when your feelings get hurt. :sad1: Kids are so mean.

Oh, these aren't older kids, they're kids in his class. I just think he needs to learn to find other ways to deal with things. I have no idea how to teach him other ways, since these issues only happen at school, but we constantly talk about it and we constantly try to talk about other options for his anger. He just forgets in the heat of the moment.

All you can do is what you are already doing. It has to click in for him, especially in the heat of it, which is like impossible for any of us to do.:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

If you book in Sept it's less????
YUP! I know from experience! It's the cheapest month because of hurricane season. My coworker usually only cruises in September because of the great discounts she's often received from the ship having to alter its course because of hurricanes or stay longer at sea. :thumbsup2

I never even thought to worry right now. She gives us a few a year that Brooke is really ga ga over and they are usually her favorite outfits.

I just looked and it was 3800.00 for us so I guess it is cheaper. I looked for tortatola and I thought it was a little higher than PC.

Tortola is even less. I think I'm paying $2500 for both of us. Did you look for Sept 12th?

We had something similar happen, not the teasing, but the giving of clothes. Tyler's best buddy's mom called me and asked what size he is and she ended up sending a bag to school during the summer program with 15 pairs of pants, mostly jeans, that her son had outgrown. I asked her to sort of keep it quiet so her son didn't realize what she was doing, just so none of the other kids would know. Well, her son ran up to Tyler and yelled, "My mom and I have a present for you! It's a bunch of my pants!" Fortunately, nobody paid attention, and none of those kids are at his current school, so it worked out fine. It's way too many pairs of pants for him to have though! Yikes! :rotfl2: So I'll probably donate a few. :thumbsup2

OK, now I'm really heading to bed. Would ya'll stop talking for a minute so I can leave?! :rotfl2: I need to get to bed before I start eating again.

Brooke has too many too. Her and I compromise when I buy the clothes but this girl gives her over the top sparkly, colorful clothes  The skirt has different colored stripes with sequence and the shirt is a purple tie die shirt with a sequence butterfly on it. No wonder the kids noticed

It is 4000.00 for us.

It might be because we booked it in June......but still we're at the one year mark so it should still be less. What cat do you travel? I'm going to look up my cat 6 and see if it changed price.

I just book the cheapest thing which is 12. I'd much rather go on more vacations and be in a smaller room. We were never in there anyway.

I just looked up my price for booking today and it was $4070 without air. Then I took off the ground transfers and the insurance and got $3700 as a price. Then when I booked, I did it thru DU and got the onboard credit and got a discount price of $3000 and I put $500 down to hold it, so I have $2500 left. Not bad.

So you saved 700.00 and got an OBC? That is good. I didn't book through DU, I just switched after the OBC thing.

Sorry, not me......I'm sure Paul will know when he gets back. BTW, what's for dinner?;)

pasta, mine was chicken with cream sauce and brocolli and sundried tomatoes. I eat 1/2 a portion, so I may be over with my cals for the day but not by too much :goodvibes
