Maybe Disney will give me a translator for every country :lmao: I know more Spanish than anything else....well besides English. In Mexico the only people that talk to you speak English so it is easy. What languages will I have to learn? Maybe I should keep my mouth shut :lmao:

Well, with it being Baltic ports, I guess Danish, Norwegian, Russian, German, Swedish............

Hey... after 15 nights... we still tell stories about you guys over dinner!!! :rotfl:

Jill... just remember the lady in the red scooter... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Tell your dad to not run over any unsuspecting Diser and you'll be fine!!!

Oh and good at fighting WDW!!!! You go girl!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I plan on making my mom be that lady on our trip...just kidding...I bet if we put Molly in a chair she would run over people, she ran over me with the shopping cart yesterday at Whole Foods!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just didn't want you to think I didn't like them as a nation!!!!!!!! Personally we have done ok when we have been in France and have met some great folk. We have of course had to put up with the French blockading roads, ports, etc!!!!! so....:rotfl:

Now, French is a language I did learn a bit of and can read basic signs etc. I do try.

When we go to the Canary Islands which are Spanish I struggle more, and quite often answer in French in my stress. Very funny! Fortunately in the tourist areas they all speak english, but I like to at least attempt to use their language.

:lmao: I learned French in high school, but then went to Holland for a year, and the Dutch replaced the French in my head. Only room for so much, now I don't really use either of them, so its all muddled in my head.
It was funny because over the year I learned to speak Dutch, and tried really hard to speak it all the time. But for the first while, when I would go to a store and ask for something in Dutch, they would hear the bad Dutch and answer me in English  It was frustrating because you can't learn a language if you don't use it.

Nan did too!

how come you always drag me into these conversations...and even now with no laptop to timely defend myself.

I was not running over toes I am :snooty: but only about a certain list of things...verdanas, spas, wine...okay it's a long list but a list for sure.

I'm having a hard time this morning....have every year at this time.

Please say a prayer for everyone today...especially those families that lost someone on this date 7 years ago. :grouphug:

That was Nan and me actually! It is funnier picturing Sukie doing it though!

I didn't think to slurp while cleaning up, had I known it was world famous salsa I would have...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: and yes I think Sukie would have been better in that pose too.:snooty:

I frequently resort to French (learned it in High School) when I try to talk with the kids Spanish teachers. Sometimes I reply in French to the kids when they speak Spanish. Why is it that the brain works that way?:confused3

we could always assign 1 language to a few people that way we're all covered when getting off the ship :lmao:

Oh my. I would need the easiest language. Is that Gernman. I already know 'bustenhalter' if that helps!!!:lmao:

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one. John laughs his head off when I do that, but then he only uses sign language in foreign speaking countries anyway!!!:rotfl:

We can cover the Norwegian, UFF DA!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Woohoo, we are part of the way there. Norwegian and also Dutch just in case. Who's up for learning Swedish? Danish? Russian?

Hi Every one, I've been "Skulking about" not much time these days. Back in the stone ages when I had my first "real" job, I bussed tables at an upscale all night dinner. One of the waitresses was a recent immigrant from Sweden. late one Saturday night a group of partiers stopped in for breakfast after the clubs. They were rowdy, loud, and obnoxious. Poor Helen got them. Well after an hour or so, they left, they stiffed her for her tip. She stepped out the side door, and let out a stream of words in Swedish, then stepped back in and returned to work. One of the other dinners, a nice older man that was a regular, got up from his chair and went to pay his check. He turned to Helen as he went to leave and said something to her in Swedish. I never knew what she had said, or what his comment to her was, but the laughter from him and the red in her cheeks said it all! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: Sometimes I wish I understood a few other languages and could earwig a few conversations.

So far as I heard last... my sister was at the airport... talked to her she was in line at the ticket counter... haven't heard anything else.. so I guess they got on a plane... she was taking a ticket to anywhere (apparently Albany is not on her list yet... ) She's probably going to Phoenix since she already had a flight out today for a conference and was going to take Brian with her... after that... I have no idea...

As for me... I took a very long nap because Claire woke me up after only 3 hours of good sleep...woke up because John is cutting our grass right outside my window....:rotfl: Better him than me...

Mom and I will be spending this anxious time cleaning in anticipation of having them come eventually.. The National weather service is saying they could have catastrophic winds and water and that people in their region should prepare for massive flooding... So... I will clear the extra room of all my wash and suitcases from my trip to Houston LAST week!!! And then I will settle in and watch the storm with the rest of them... I can't believe I was just there last week... I am glad they got out... :grouphug:

Marilyn... we're getting you a job at Epcot!!!

Oh goody!!!:lmao: :dance3:
